  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

First let me apologize for a potentially long post. I am a 26 year old active duty soldier. Back in 2016 I started talking to a girl I went to high school with. I was stationed in Texas at the time while she was back in my home state of Tennessee. During that time she was a single mother and I...

    Dealing with a grieving dad.

Hi all! I'm still a very young Christian (I'm 28 , and have been following Jesus almost 3 years), and I'm hoping to find some solid, biblical advice from my more mature brothers and sisters. Out of my immediate family, I'm the first who has become a disciple of Jesus. My dad believes in God...

Letter To The Faithful - Engage !

Engage ! Engage! And be not asleep for the Lord is soon to come. He comes as the Lion of Judah. So we need to stop being lambs and become as lions for Christ revealing. The God Series - Fatherhood.

Fatherhood The world has twisted what a father is and with this, we are faced with the ultimate question of; “What came first, the chicken or the egg”? And as with any person born into this world, they at some point in their life will ask another profound and similar question. That is, “What is...

Abusive father - 71 year old father is verbally abusive and constantly angry/critical

I moved out of my father's house almost 4 months ago because I couldn't endure anymore. I could no longer endure my father's anger toward me. I could no longer endure my father's constant verbal abuse and (unconstructive) criticism. I could no longer endure my father's angry yelling and...

    The God Series - Mercy.

Mercy. As our Father, compassion reveals His deep love for us. But as our God, mercy reveals His everlasting sovereignty for His creation that has failed Him time and time again. Without God’s undying mercy we would be subjected to His wrath and suffer the pain of disobedience from one...

Do you ever just feel like most peoples fruit is bad?

I mean I do but not in the way I worded the question. We have all this time to do stuff for Jesus but it's like we don't do it and I'm like, bad fruit. So do you ever doubt that people who claim to be Christian are actually on the narrow path to the Father? I was reading some comments on a...

Gender of biblical language words used for divinity

Does any one actually believe YHWH is one gender or the other? Elohim used in Genesis is a plural (strike out feminine - old scribe's error) masculine noun. The Hebrew, Greek, or English word for father uses the word figuratively. In the biological sense of the meaning of YHWH is not "our...

    Has God always known us?

Thought about this today, its hard for me to phrase this: Since God knows everything, and has been here forever. When did he first create who we are. Did He always know who we are? If so, how could He have known this, before he created us in His mind?

A Holy Fellowship with the Father: Prayer

Lord Heavenly Father spoke in my spirit when I began to pray yesterday. He said, Prayer is Holy. A Holy act, communing with Him as one. I never thought of prayer that way before. It is something we are told to do for others as well as ourselves, but I never saw it as Holy. Any comments of what...

Hello and Merry Christmas. What is the primary role of a father?

I often hear Dads provide complaints about their jobs and when I ask them why they continue to work where they are miserable, the survey says! “I have to provide for my family.” Frequent stories from dads (and yes moms too) that they work long hours or travel a lot or endure an unhealthy work...

    Is There No Way Out?

Stepdad came home today screaming at my mom, as well as talking bad about me (like always). Immediately I start shaking of course and can't calm down until it's over. Why do so many Christians believe everyone is a child of GOD?

I have been in discussions where I have asked this question. In small groups, Sunday School, Bible studies, online forums, have even asked Pastors, etc. and so, so many Christians believe this, yet the Word is replete with scripture that tell us that no, not everyone is a child of God. Yes, we...

Nearly nineteen - How to deal with not being able to date

Hey, so I'm just over a week off being nineteen, and, as the story goes, I have met a guy. He's really sweet and he is a Christian. We actually met through my godparents. But my dad won't let me date. Not until I have "finished my studies". And whilst I can understand why he says that, it's...
