  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Difference between High Church and Anglo-Catholic and can Anglo-Catholics identify as Protestants?

Whenever there is talk on Anglo-Catholicism Vs Evangelicalism, you often hear or read that one emphasises the Catholic nature of the Anglican church and the other emphasises the Protestant nature, but can (or are) Anglo-Catholics still considered Protestants? Hi folks, I'm a Christian who lives and works (as a videographer) here in the UK. Back in Feb we shot/produced an inspiring spoken word Easter video for a mainstream UK church organization called Evangelical Alliance. Whilst the video turned out great (IMHO) the most rewarding aspect for me was...

    Racism among Evangelicals

Research seems to suggest that racism is a problem among Evangelicals. Nevermind the "Trump supporters are racist" argument - there's other evidences that we've got some serious work to do. But we're so segregated that this problem doesn't seem apparent. This article takes things a bit deeper...

What if we ALL prayed like this?

This is a post from another thread, but what if we all prayed for each other: Baptists for Methodists; Calvinists for Messianics; Catholics for Jehovah's Witnesses...and vice versa, etc...do you believe The Creator would bless such prayer? The enemy can divide us over disagreements over words...

Any identifying as C&MA in this forum?

Since I joined CFcom in 2005, I've identified myself as Baptist because I am ordained with a baptistic denomination, the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA), Australia. I've done this because the C&MA is not identified in the 'Christian Communities' directory. The denomination has approx. 6...

Mainline Protestant and Evangelical denominations both declining, how do we change that?

It is an oft discussed subject that mainline Protestant denominations are declining and losing members. Evangelical denominations are also declining in recent years. The ex-gay pastor from the James Franco movie "I Am Michael" is mentally ill in real life

High Church, Broad Church, Low Church? A mix?

Being new to the group, I am curious to see how people identify. In my own congregation, we have a 'low church' or 'evangelical' praise service on Sunday early morning and we have two Rite II traditional masses later in the morning as well as a charismatic service on Wedsenday. How do you...

Michael Glatze: Evangelical Christianity, Dispensationalism and the Rapture are heresies

In case you haven't seen or heard of the movie I Am Michael starring James Franco, Michael Glatze was a gay activist who, after a health scare, turned to God, gradually became anti-gay, became a pastor and married a woman. Now it seems he has renounced AND denounced all forms of protestant...

My Book on Encountering a Legend -- 'Witnessing Bigfoot' Glen Boulier

As a person with an Evangelical background, I have seen the elusive species at least twice -- in 1974 & 1985, at Princeton, B.C. This would ultimately lead to an investigation of the subject (off and on) for over 22 years. I wanted answers as to maybe why? In this quest, I would find...
