  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The true "Church" of Jesus Christ.

I believe there's a distinct difference between believing in Jesus and actually following him. Man-made religion was not his intention when he came to this earth, and the churches humans have built are not the true "Church". The real church is the body of believers that God is building. I...

    Church Planting Issues

Hello all! Sorry for the long post, you can keep scrolling if it's too much. I'm writing today to ask for advice on how I should go about planting a church. Just to give some backstory, I have been feeling the call to ministry for several years now, and only recently felt confident in it...

    Hi! My name is Emmanuel and I need advice;

This is long and I am going to be very blunt about the whole issue I am dealing with and my feelings so you’re warned; Hi, My name is Emmanuel, tbh I randomly did a google search for forums for Christians to talk to. I need advice. I’m pretty sure I have a massive calling from God to “unite”...

Rapture - I would be afraid not to believe in one

If I had to pick an end time date I would go, word by word, with the scientist, Isaac Newton... "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for...

    How important is church?

Can you still be saved if you don’t go to church? My church is so boring. I find myself drifting away. I hate singing and standing. I don’t mind listening to the music and I like the songs and I can follow the lyrics in my heart but I hate singing. The sermons at my church are pretty good. I...

    Church Pushing Us Away...

Good Morning! Roughly 3 years ago, my girlfriend and I moved from our parents homes in South Florida to homestead outside of Greenwood, South Carolina. We are now engaged, bought a home, and are getting ready to be married in less than 30 days! We both grew up in a fairly strict Protestant...

This church is driving a wedge between me and my family...

Hi everyone who decides to read this!! Lucky you, you're in for a treat... The church I grew up in (Baptist/Pentecostal) started going woke and seeker sensitive and it turned out to be worse than I thought... Perhaps it was gradually creeping in and I just didn't realize it. Upon participating...

Essential Differences Between Dispensational and Non-dispensational Futurism

The goals of this post are to relate the differences between non-dispensational futurism and dispensational futurism, and why neither can be justified by the Bible. In showing those differences and their deficiencies historicism is confirmed as the only eschatological model that avoids such...

Methodist and Baptist - Advice Requested

Hi all, I am a christened and raised Methodist Christian, attending a Methodist church for the first ten or so years of my life - however, due to my parents' non-believing, and several other issues, it has taken me almost eight years to rediscover God, scripture, and the Bible. My boyfriend is...

Some people make a good point about the secularization of modern churches today. But.....

They bemoan all the activities the church provides that may not seem close to God. But I think its important to point out that people need to relax in their spare time and if you only go to church for the services, you will be spending your spare time mostly with unbelievers. Not a good...

Church of England refuses to define what a Woman is

The Church of England refused to offer up a definition of a woman, arguing that recent developments required “additional care” when attempting to define the word. “There is no official definition, which reflects the fact that until fairly recently definitions of this kind were thought to be...

Hi! I'm new here and I really wanted to have a community of fellow reformed Christians

I live in the Philippines and in the city where I live, there aren't any reformed churches. It's quite sad really because I have to watch my reformed church online instead (my church was in a different country where I lived). I tried attending churches here as well as the bible study groups but...

    My Perfect Community? Anyone?

Of course, yes, I know there is no perfect community- until Jesus returns. BUT I'm probably a bit of a strange one and JUST CANNOT seem to find a real community (or church for that matter) out there that even remotely fits the mold of what I'm looking to surround my family with at this phase in...

...sins now repurposed and put on display in the Church, like fine furniture...

It seems that some Christian leaders are basically telling us to NOT die to our sins. Consider Cardinal Reinhard Marx out of Germany. If you do a news search using that name, you will see him in his priestly collar standing at the podium with a bright rainbow flag before his feet (I would...
