I wish I could say I'm surprised that YouTube suspended Sky News Australia, but I'm not.

YouTube’s Sky News Australia suspension ‘disturbing’ assault on freedom of thought

First they came for Trump and other conservatives. Then they came for fringe and non-mainstream news sites. Finally, they have come for large, mainstream news sites.

This is what fascism looks like in the internet age. When Big-Tech censored Trump, it was the canary in the coal mine, but nobody was paying attention, and least of all the mainstream news, who didn't like Trump anyway. Now absolutely everyone who doesn't obey the Big-Tech covid dictators is a target. Conform, or Big-Tech will pull the plug on you.

A media company is up in arms about a platform not allowing said media company to spout whatever it wants?

And the OP link goes to the media company’s website where they complain about this “travesty”?

What we should encourage Sky News to do is go and use alternative websites like Bit-chute, Daily motion or anything else. Encourage people to migrate away from Youtube and use other platforms.

i am guessing if something is dangerous to humanity, then avoiding it and NOT spreading it, would be beneficial to humanity

Their multi-million person viewership would say so. Many Progressives overlook the fact that the removal of the Conservative's freedom of the press will eventually lead to the loss of their own freedom to oppose as well.

progressives and conservatives are irrelevant when pointing out and shunning evil and falsity

how would the world look, if we avoided labels and ALL made an effort to point out evil and falsity, and then shun those within ourselves?

perhaps we would no longer resort to labeling those “other people”

instead we would be on a “narrow path” toward love, kindness, tolerance, patience

If you're suggesting that YouTube should be stripped of the legal protections afforded platforms because it's actually a publisher, then I'm inclined to agree. However, YouTube's expended a lot of effort positioning itself as a platform in order to have those protections, and it can't be both a platform and a publisher.
