Awesome landscape. Great color and atmosphere and I love the panoramic format.

Thanks, it is in the works got a little ways to go but hoping to get there in the next week or two.

Getting the layers worked in takes some (time), letting dry to avoid muddying colors.

It's coming together beautifully. It's so warm and atmospheric. Love the sky and pinkish clouds. You could stop anywhere and it would look finished.

Dedicated to my favorite apostle, I reposted the verses so they would be audible...

Great looking bird. It looks a little more washed out than it probably was on the paper. Did you try adjusting levels in a photo editing program?

We went driving near sundown to get some reference photos. My daughter painted this in gouache, and I adjusted levels and such in Photopaint.

It was a fun project for the evening.

This was put together this summer with a pen while I was in a temporary living home. Our house was crushed by a tree and we had to settle in town during the pandemic of all things, the house we lived in was quite interesting although the time away from the rural community was slightly un easing. The storm struck us on Easter Sunday and we spent the rest of the month in a hotel in the big city down south.

Little bit childish but it was available and relevant because this is the verse that was in my miracle Sunday at church in 2017 without it I would not have had the Bible I currently use. I wish I could have made my crow a little fatter, but hey, here you have it, the parable of the sower...

It is coming along very well. I imagine such a large work takes a good deal of time.

Thanks

It has taken a little more time now, being that i am looking after my mom (92), not that she needs full time care. But just washing cloths, helping her go to bed and getting up in the moring. Plus i ma teaching art at school during the day. So i am some what limited on time, which i have found the best time is on weekends and after i put mom to bed usually around 9:00

I keep asking my known FMs that attend our church, but they would never tell me the difference between a seraphim and a cherubim, I guess I'll find out when I get there. lol..

It's not easy to draw eyes, but a million x 6? Good thing I only had the patience for the eagle.

this may be modded later.

I really like the Scriptural themes to your art. And a nice story behind it.

Interesting take on the subject!

I will think about the difference between cherubim and seraphim. I have wondered if they are different terms for the same entities.

I refuse to put my signature on it.
The garden of Gethsemane; on the left Judas Iscariot and a Pharisee guardsman, I honestly needed more grape vines.

The scripture behind the cup of atonement -
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

Touched up much and even tried some washing and shading

That helps some! I at times will try a bit of shading as well once scanned.

I like the Gethsemane piece. There is a lot in the OT as well about the cup.

I haven't done much drawing or painting lately. This was practice yesterday, done mostly because my daughter was practicing, so we did it together. Pencil sketch, shaded in digital.
Well done! So is that a paper pencil sketch that you photograph then shade digitally.
