We will just let the American people decide whether a woman who used her fauxness to every advantage she could find, can now say "oopsies, me so sorry."
I'm not worried, the last woman who ran against President Trump got about 3,000,000 more votes then he did, so if a woman even more popular then her runs, I'm pretty sure the outcome is going to be different.

I'm betting not.
...and you could be wrong.

Cuddy(thinks you should try not to be upset, and did you think my headband was pretty?)
tulc(can't see Cuddy's head so he dosen't really know what the headband looks like. But if it makes Cuddy feel pretty, that's all that really matters)

Since Warren does have American Indian ancestry
it seems i missed this sentence.
You should catch up with last year's news.
Warren has no Native American ancestry.
Unless you want to call 1/1024 ancestry, but just about everyone on the planet has 1/1024 OR MORE genes in common with Native Americans.
Warren denounced her NA ancestry in public.

She did a DNA test.
Now she says she believed she was of NA descent, because people told her she was.

I have Cherokee ancestors too. In fact, my biological mother was full blood Cherokee and I have never sought membership with the Cherokee Nation. I would qualify for a CDIB card, but I don't want it.

She could have avoided this whole debacle about her Cherokee ancestry if she was able to prove by documentation that she has at least one Cherokee ancestor who was listed on the Dawes Indian Rolls. That is the tribal membership requirement for the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. If she had done that, then she would already have her CDIB card and there could be no legitimate complaint against her.

She shouldn't have even bothered with the DNA test in the first place, in my opinion. DNA tests to prove NDN blood quantum status are about as reliable as depending on an aspirin to cure cancer.

or trump could have acted like a gentleman and just ignored it ( but the expression when hell freezes over applied to that. ) It still was a non issue that he blew up into an issue because he’s trying to bring emphasis to the fact that she’s not entirely white. Just like he tried with Obama and his stupid birther attacks . He was trying to say that they aren’t quite “real Americans (TM)” . Look how many ignoramuses still believe that Obama wasn’t born here.

Her DNA test contained less than 0.1% of Native American ancestry.

Given that my great great grandfather was the Indian ( and I’m not sure he was a full blooded Indian) in my family I probably have about the same amount of DNA . (shrug)

I have been an NDN activist for nearly three decades and I must say that it astonishes me to hear so many conservative non-NDNs suddenly so concerned about tribal issues like blood quantum status and tribal membership. It's a shame that these same conservatives have never extended their indignation beyond Senator Warren though. They usually just mock liberal NDN activists and call them SJWs.

The lack of DNA testing amongst Native Americans is the major reason it is difficult for people to find matches with their native ancestry. That was thoroughly explained by experts after Warren's test failed to show significant Native American DNA.

As I said before, these DNA tests to determine someone's Native American blood quantum status are about as reliable as an aspirin curing someone of cancer. DNA tests are useless and don't work.

In a public statement, the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma basically said the same thing: "A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity, to an individual it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven."

She admitted that she made the whole thing up and apologized.

---------------------

As she has previously, Warren told reporters Wednesday that she grew up believing she had Native American ancestors. "This is our family story, and it's all consistent from that point in time," she said in response to a question about whether there are other documents that may show similar claims. "It's important to note I am not a tribal citizen," Warren said, "and I should have been more mindful of the distinction with tribal citizenship and tribal sovereignty."

Elizabeth Warren Apologizes For Latest Revelation Of Native American Claims
In a rather unusual campaign move, Sen. Elizabeth Warren has released the results of a DNA test that says there is "strong evidence" of Native American ancestry dating back six to 10 generations, addressing a controversy that has followed her for years.
...
"I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity paid for by Trump if you take the test and it shows you're an Indian," Trump added, as the crowd cheered. But on Monday morning, the president was asked about the challenge and falsely told reporters, "I didn't say that."
....
Warren, who has had a long-standing feud with the president, challenged him on Twitter Monday morning, asking that the bet be paid up to the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center.

Warren Releases DNA Results, Challenges Trump Over Native American Ancestry

Sorry she was correct about her heritage, Trump lost the bet.
Watch the video of lots of people, professors, etc. but especially the Stanford University geneticist that read her DNA results.

Warren Releases DNA Results, Challenges Trump Over Native American Ancestry

Sorry she was correct about her heritage, Trump lost the bet.
Watch the video of lots of people, professors, etc. but especially the Stanford University geneticist that read her DNA results.

The Cherokee Nation described the DNA test as "useless," adding that there are legal requirements for tribal citizenship.

"Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong," Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin, Jr., said in a statement. "It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."

The Republican National Committee mocked Warren's disclosure, saying the test revealed only a "minuscule percentage" of Native American ancestry that still leaves unanswered questions.

The RNC also jumped on a correction from The Boston Globe. The paper originally reported that the probability of Warren's Native American ancestry ranges from 1/32 to 1/512, but now reports the low end of that range is actually 1/1,024.
