A funny thing happens whenever end-of-the-world groups predict an apocalyptic date that comes and goes...

The end-of-the-worlders often credit that it was their faith and their undying belief in God and his coming judgment/apocalypse that convinced God to stave off his destroying of the world...

So, what are peoples' plans for the last 48 hours of the human race? Spending time with loved ones? Making inappropriate propositions to strangers? Spending the last of your cash on fast liquor and hard women?

I looked up in the sky at the asteroid and shook my fist in rage, then had a ice cream sundae.

I'm going to hang out on CF and play Jewel Quest Solitaire.

I am going to ignore all the Sept hype. Right, off to my bomb shelter 300ft beneath my house!

Thing is, with all the 1,000s of Astronomers in the world wouldn't some of them have spotted something by now?

Has anyone ever seen Melancholia? That is one depressing movie about the end of the world by a meteor impact. I think it was depressing mainly because of the awful 'acting'. The main characters kind of deserved to be obliterated, in fact it would have been a better movie if it began with the meteor impact and saved me a couple of hours I'll never get back.

Definitely the latter. I have two bottles of very expensive wine that I have been saving for a special occasion.

I just ate 2 cookies on the basis that I won't have to weigh myself next week.

You joke, but when I was 30, my brain apparently said, "Naw were not doing thirty, your twenty eight." And for most of that year I thought I was 28 still. That was an amazingly embarrassing talk when my gf informed me that I was indeed 30.
