I don't know what Creation date was, but yes, dew will water the ground and plants. Some plants get all of their water from condensation on the leaves and most are designed for catching condensation.
Its possible that before The Flood, much of the (flood) water remained in the atmosphere (as the scriptures say). This would have kept the dew point much closer to the average temperature resulting in nightly dewfall.
Read the scriptures as if they were true in order to make sense of it. If you assume it's wrong, you miss out on the clever details.
"Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth."

The Bible says: "these are the generations" you say: "there were no people". Just what do you think a generation is: ground hogs? Or maybe for you a generation is a fruit fly with a leg growing out of his head.there were no people
Lots and lots and lots of things do not appear in the Bible. We are told that all the books in the world would not be enough to tell all there was to tell.Just because the word rain doesn't appear in the bible until Gen; 7:4 means it never rained until then?

You know Sky, I think you disagree with me just for no other reason than to disagree.
...Genesis 7:4 clearly states: "For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights;"
That in no way suggests that it has not rained at all until the flood. Just because the word rain doesn't appear in the bible until Gen; 7:4 means it never rained until then? Also, are you subscribing to dad's claim that physics was different before the flood? How do you explain ice core chronology during that period? Why don't all the lakes and river dry up. They are fed by rain running off into water sheds you know. Even your Berkeley source states that only shallow rooted plants can benefit from dew. And are you also reverting back to being a YEC?
Additionally, "Dew" is not mentioned in the bible until Genesis 27:28, well after the flood.
If anybody is abusive around here it is my wife that abuses me. So other then your usual rants I have no idea what your talking about and I do not think you do either.I take it then that you do not believe "Wife abuse" exists eh
Was there rain back then? Because they needed to irrigate the crops to get the food to grow. They did not depend on rain. Just because there is water in the river does not mean rain. It could be the snow in the mountains or something like that. That in no way suggests that it has not rained at all until the flood.

You should do that with Genesis too, not just the parts that you don't agree with.
They didn't know about evolution either.
Please read the passage below and tell me how that statement is "taking the Bible out of context".
Leviticus 15:19 And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. 20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. 21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
I know enough about physics to know that if there is light and water there will be a rainbow, no need for God's interference there. We can make one in a lab if you want to.
Or perhaps they knew their Holy book pretty well... later self-serving attempts to reinterpret it notwithstanding.
Perhaps -- but of course that would mean that God had no problems letting them get it so wrong for centuries beforehand.
Doesn't do much for the justice system, does it? I see plenty of stones being cast left, right, and center.
Indeed -- God's promise that he'd never again obliterate us all with a flood.
See? There's a dark side of the covenant.
So what we have here is another scoffer.
You wish to attack me also that is fine.
You do know that Jesus also known as God is not against you but He is for you.
He only wants GOOD things.
So please why don't you and your buddies pick up some more stones and throw them at me perhaps after you have left me in a bloody pulp.
You will realize that all your selfish delusions are ground to a stone powder as you fall upon the only rock that matters. "The Dude" Jesus.
Even so; Then we must examine the cause of this supply and rectify it so that we no longer as a society have to live with the degradation of human decency by having poverty thrive within our societies!
If anybody is abusive around here it is my wife that abuses me. So other then your usual rants I have no idea what your talking about and I do not think you do either.
You think?
Attack? I see no attacks here. Where do you see an attack?
Much appreciated.
Debatable -- the Bible's chock-full of people to whom God gave nothing good.
Friend, I don't know what kind of persecution complex you're on about here, but if you cannot handle a little disagreement on an open debate forum, I would humbly suggest that this isn't the place for you.
Don't take it personally -- not everyone's ready for prime time, as it were.
And which selfish delusions would those be? I'd like to know what they are before I lose them.
Regardless of mans doubt, God is in complete control. Satan is aware of it and hates it.
How about the ones He kept alive? are you willing to comment on them as well, or just the ones you can use to put God in a negative light?
Your attack on the bible does nothing but prove that you do not want to change. You just want to attack me. That is fine, I can take it. Jesus is Lord.
Nope. You read wrong. God actually can't lay a finger on this world.
It's contaminated and the two are incompatible.
He could send His only Son here for a visit.
But that's physically as close as God can get.
