How do we know the earth exists and is not just a product of our imagination?

What are the chances that almost 8 billion people are all imagining this at the same time?

You would think that, if I say trees are green, that a couple billion others would imagine they are blue.

In addition, have you ever started to walk down the sidewalk and end up doing the "sidestep dance" with another person?

How is it that both of you are imagining you're in each other's way?

That's pretty coincidental, wouldn't you say?

Can you get any two of those 8 billion people to agree on anything? Some people believe we have a collective consciousness that just contains a collection of shared beliefs. Some people believe Philippians 2:5 just teaches us to have the attitude Jesus has to be a humble servant. The phrase "one mind and one accord" is often used in the New Testament to describe the unity and common purpose of believers in the Christian faith. So we are united in Christ as they are in unity and harmony in Heaven but apart from God there is division.

Global flood is a question of interpretation. So you do not even have a wooden leg to stand on there. There is NOTHING that says the donkey talked in English. I talk with animals, lots of people talk to their pets. But it is more of an understanding. I remember once I was sitting at my kitchen table and the door was open and a bird was sitting in a tree squawking at me. I wondered what is that all about. Then it came to me, the bird was telling me to give it some food. I know that the birds think of me as being the keeper of their garden. But I can assure you they do not speak English and it takes me a while to figure out what they are telling me. I have a feral cat that opens it's mouth but no actual sound comes out. Maybe he is deaf. But he does communicate to me what he wants. Which is usually food or grooming or something like that. He wants me to mother him and take good care of him.

If you want I could go on and on about this and write a whole book. Or maybe this is enough already. I am sure all sorts of noise was coming out of that donkey's mouth. But I doubt if he was speaking English. Still, his owner figures it out and understood the message he was trying to get across.

Just remember saved people do not abuse animals.

I think Eden is at the bottom of the Persian Gulf. With the Euphrates river going dry ancient pre flood ruins are beginning to emerge. When the Bible says the Sea will be no more, the Persian gulf will return to pre flood levels.

The Persian Gulf is *not* going down (like all parts of the ocean, it is going up).

The Earth does not show any signs of a Global Flood. That's something that would be hard to hide.

Just not true. The evidence is there but the secular world refuses to believe it.

The canyon was likely cut by the massive floodwaters as they drained into the sea. The flood reshaped the ocean floor so that the water cut through like a knife through butter. A great deal of research has been done on this and the arguments are compelling. In reality, no one was there to see it so it is impossible to prove beyond any doubt.

I use to design and sell sprinkler systems. Everything was based on water pressure. We would loan people a water pressure gauge to go home and check their water pressure. It was usually 50 or 60 psi. But I could do nothing until I knew what that water pressure was. It takes a LOT of water pressure to carve out the grand canyon. A little bit of pressure and a lot of time are just not the same. Because of the law of diminishing returns.

The law of diminishing returns only deals with economics, not geology. Neither of you know a thing you're talking about.

Neither of those would be found in a world subjected to a global flood, only in your extra-Biblical 'God cleaned everything up' world, and even then only on paper.

The sheer cliffs are composed of white chalk, or calcite, made by coccolithophores – tiny, single-celled algae. They are made over long periods of time.

A global flood is a straw man argument. People make something up and then they falsify their own interpretation. This is working with a rigged deck. They deal from the bottom of the deck and hide cards up their sleeve when no one is looking. After they fail to convince themself, they come here to try to convince others.

We can not judge people, but when they put their evidence on the table we can judge that.
