The permanent residents are not super rich. They do not have the resources needed and so they helped generously until these people dumped by Desantis could be move to a location that does have the resources.

Neither are the people in the border cities who have 1,000 times as many. Sometimes in a weekly basis.

Lost half his lead according to whom?

According to the figures you posted yourself. Compared to polls linked to by other DeSantis supporters that showed double that lead earlier.

it is not my choice, it was the source material for the article. just wanted to see the facts not the interpretation.
the date on the article is suspect. it is from june 21 and june 22, that was 3 month ago. so, no other major poll has that kind of gap. that is why I posted the other polls so you can compare.

no major, poll has Desantis down loosing. he has at least a 4 point lead.

Well here's another fact. He had a double digit lead and now it's dropped to 4%.

So the solution is drop them in random places? This was just a political move for votes.

Right. It's not like Florida doesn't have plenty of rich people, too (like in Windemere, Winter Haven, Ft. Myers, or Mar-a-Lago). This is all about politics: the rich people in Florida tend to be Republicans. Martha's Vineyard has an (unproven) reputation among reactionary conservatives as being liberal, but as you say that doesn't necessarily mean they have are extraordinarily wealthy.

This latest poll shows Crist ahead by 6%--53% to 47%. Another shows them even, and all show him gaining on DeSantis.

I am glad that they seem to be standing up to a governmental style I can only describe as "bullying." They are fed up with stunts like traveling to Texas, misleading migrants into getting on to their private plane, and dropping them off on a small, isolated New England island without notice.

The fallout began when DeSantis started dictating what schools could and couldn't do, trying to weed out progressive teachers and professors, etc. Reactions to the Dobbs decision also took their toll.

And now a catastrophic hurricane threatens to land on one of Florida's largest cities--Tampa, with 400,000 residents and many more in its metro area. When Republican governors encounter Democratic mayors in these situations there's generally a lot of attempts to shift blame on both sides.

As a faraway observer, DeSantis seems to be an individual who has a lot of trouble showing compassion.
Ron DeSantis Trails Democrat Charlie Crist in New Poll After Migrant Flight (msn.com)
Spending Florida taxpayer money to trick and then fly migrants from Texas to a rich island in Massachusetts offends ordinary people who pay taxes.

It reminds me of trying to control cruise ship lines in how they run their business regarding vaccination. It seems to be a lack of experience/maturity.

They didn’t handle it the way you wanted them too, therefore they are wrong?
The ball was put in their court and they played it the same way that gets complained about. As expected.

Over 3 months old. Did you have to go that far back to find one where he was leading?
i am not saying that he is leading the article that someone else posted says that. I was only bring out the underlying facts. that is why I posted it. I believe I objected to it being 3 months old as well and posted additional poll that were much more current.

Just read that during Hurricane Sandy, which devastated NY and NJ in 2011, DeSantis was one of 67 Congressmen who voted against aid for the people there.
Obviously he is not someone who could be trusted to play fair with our nation.

Wow. I hope a journalist asks him about this.

That is contrary to fact. DeSantis used Florida taxpayer money to round up, deceive and transport immigrants from Teas to an area that did not have the facilities to support them. He did not do it to benefit them; on the contrary, by lying and having them fill out papers that would almost guarantee that they would miss their court dates, he sought to actively harm them.

The good people of Martha's Vineyard, fed them, housed them temporarily and then transported them to where they could and would be taken care of.

I’m not at all. You posted something then said you objected to it. If I’m misunderstanding let me know.
i said I post the source data for the article above. I did not say I supported it. I pointed out that it was from Jun and not recent.

can you not grasp the fact the posting something is for accuracy and not necessarily for support?
I can post for clarity and object to the usage by the author at the same time.

SO, he was authorized to do so. He is not to benefit them. He is to benefit the citizens of Florida. If you think that taking people who were illieagly transported to his state and dump on him and him leagly transporting them to a state that said they wanted them is a problem then it is not Him that has the problem. They were not harmed in any way.
