I don't think so, the world if you look around, is going crazy.
James 3:15
This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
It was going crazy in Old Testament times; it was going crazy in New Testament times.
Ecclesiastes 1:9
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
Here is an example, a friend of my husbands is a type 1 diabetic, the doctor called him saying to come in right away as they found blood in his urine. I forget what they thought, but it would have been serious had it been true. The blood was someone else's blood that had contaminated his sample. Never found out who or why but they ordered a new sample be taken immediately. The results from that contaminated sample were worthless and completely untrue.
Someone in the lab made a mistake. Humans are fallible, but on the plus side, they caught it.
Meanwhile, were it not or medical science, that friend of your husband's would've died years ago. As it is, he knows what his condition is, what causes it, and what he needs to do in order to keep from keeling over from diabetic nephropathy.
On the flip side, Diabetes is the ninth leading cause of death in the world, and yet there is nothing in the Revealed Word of God regarding Diabetes (type 1 or 2). Furthermore, I'll bet that you and/or your friend have prayed for his miraculous deliverance from this affliction, and I'll bet double-or-nothing he's still a type 1 diabetic. Science - 1, Fundamentalism - 0.
As
@AV1611VET wants to say, "THANKS FOR THE QED.

"
The world can give incite into how it is now, how things work now. A wolf killing and eating its prey now gives no incite into how it lived as a herbivore before the fall. Things didn't just break leaving pieces behind, they changed and morphed into different ways of being.
"Insight," first of all.
Second, you have nothing but a hypothesis that wolves were ever herbivores, and a hypothesis is not a conclusion. You're doing it backwards...
... as
usual always.
How am I stopping anyone? I don't think an old lady like myself has any power over scientists or anyone else for that matter. I am here to warn Christians, would be remiss of me not to. They can then take it or leave it.
"Warning" implies some sort of danger which does not exist, so try not to be too disappointed when they leave it in droves.
Zechariah 8:16
These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;
Are your judgments actually true, or do you think they are?
... or do you just want them to be?
You are looking for answers to a beginning that may as well be another planet. That is how much change has occurred. The world as it is now is not a key to the past, its only a key to now, to recent history going back a few thousand years.
...and there are plenty of people who would rather see some facts.
Eden is the very first contact between humanity and Satan.
Most times Satan will use a half truth or lead with an idea to engage the intellect. The most believable lies are based on some kind of truth that use the power of suggestion.
“Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
First words spoken were part truth with a suggestion.
Except, once again, the serpent was not Satan.
Fact: The Book of Genesis was written by the Jews, for the Jews.
Fact: For the Jews, "Satan" was an angel who reported human delinquencies to God --
not "The Devil" per se, because...
Fact: Judaism doesn't believe in Satan as "the Devil." Jewish theology sees "evil" as an abstraction, with no need for an omnimalevolent personification.
After all, the only times Satan is presented in the Old Testament is during Job and Zechariah -- and both times, he is presented as a loyal employee of the Most High...
She, like most people embellishes right back.
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die."
Last part was a lie.
We don't know if she was lying -- after all, God warned Adam before Eve was even created... so we don't know who warned Eve or what the warning was.
Besides, "lying" implies some sort of evil intent, and Eve had no knowledge of evil... not yet.
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
Second lie by Satan.
No lie; they didn't die.
5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Third is truth mixed with lie.
Where's the lie? Genesis 3:7 says it happened, word for word.
If you think that infuriates me shows you have no understanding of my position.
Do you not feel sadness and compassion for innocent children bombed in the Ukraine?
Why single out the children? I feel sadness and compassion for
everyone bombed, shot, blasted, and otherwise harmed in the Ukraine.
My sadness and compassion even extends to those Russians who are
not there by choice:
This image is supposedly (I don't know if it's true) of a Russian soldier who surrendered to the Ukrainians at the first opportunity, being offered food, tea, and a video chat with his mother.
Again, I don't know if it's real or Ukrainian propaganda, but if it
is real, does he not deserve compassion as well?
Matthew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Let's see Christians focus at least as much on this sort of thing as they seem to about whether or not we evolved (Spoiler: we did).
People dying in the second death causes me sadness but it's their choice if they would rather be obliterated then live on the new world.
Does it now?
I am obligated as a Christian to spread the gospel but once I have done that my obligation ends and theirs begins. I can't make someone have faith. That is between them and God.
I wasn't aware that creationism was a Gospel unto itself -- but honestly, I always kind of suspected...
