Winner? Explain...Now who's the winner?
I posted as if we don't sin? What?that's probably wrong, that's why I didn't put in quotes. I always remember it wrong.
the correct quote to you is because of what you posted as if we don't sin.
Which won the award for having the right answer to the thread?Winner? Explain...
I posted as if we don't sin? What?
I hope you mean something I'm not seeing, because I don't post as if we don't sin. I've been insisting on the opposite of that all along.
Now if that ain't cynical I don't know what is. You could just have easily said something like "They were expecting to see God, whom they loved."They were expecting eternal life. They gave up a lesser life to assure themselves of it. It is not an entirely selfless act.
OK. So devil worship is for the glory of God, according to you. How about rape? Is rape also for the glory of God?God uses it to show his glory; sooner or later this will be obvious --at the least when his wrath, justice and righteousness is seen conquering the devil, if not sooner.
I have to ask you BH, do you think we can always keep the commandments of Jesus, I mean like not once in a while fail to do so? I ask because I know I don't always keep Jesus' commandments, even I know I should.
You might want to read and try to comprehend his point before responding. It’s like you read the first sentence, and ignored the rest.OK. So devil worship is for the glory of God, according to you. How about rape? Is rape also for the glory of God?
But Jesus said in a John 15:13
“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13 NASB
Your saying this greatest love is a love of self? Jesus said there is no greater love than this which to me says that martyrs have proven that they love God with all their heart. I mean if no one can possibly love more than this then it’s pretty clear that’s all the heart a person can possibly love with.
Obviously.Friend, I could not care less about what you think I should do before responding.
Taking every thought captive is impossible. Everyone has terrible thoughts pop into their head uncontrollably. How we deal with those thoughts determines whether or not we have sinned against God.
NO! (People who love the Lord don't continue in sin, yes). It only implies that people who sometimes sin don't love the Lord with all their being. If I love the Lord it doesn't mean I won't ever sin.Now I know why you two argue, you are the culprit, lol
Did you not say this:
if a person sins, they obviously don't love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
this implies that people who love the Lord don't sin.
It seems to me you two argue with each other no matter what thread you are on. Are you two blood brothers, lol?
You are misrepresenting what I said. God uses it for his own Glory. He allowed it for his own Glory. He even planned for it to happen, and that, for the sake of his own Glory. It is not intended, by those who do it, for his Glory. Don't make me say what I didn't say. One doesn't worship the Devil with the motivation to glorify God.OK. So devil worship is for the glory of God, according to you. How about rape? Is rape also for the glory of God?
Do you think the command implies the ability to obey the command? Or does God say the Law is given to reveal what is in us?
NO! (People who love the Lord don't continue in sin, yes). It only implies that people who sometimes sin don't love the Lord with all their being. If I love the Lord it doesn't mean I won't ever sin.
Are you now going to tell me that you don't ever sin? You love the Lord, don't you? Yet, yes, you sin, at least sometimes, if not often unknowingly, with sin God hasn't brought to your mind yet. And you sin sometimes even though you love the Lord, and so do I.
There is a difference, I think you will admit, between Loving the Lord, and Loving the Lord with all one's heart, soul, mind and strength.
