that's probably wrong, that's why I didn't put in quotes. I always remember it wrong.
the correct quote to you is because of what you posted as if we don't sin.
I posted as if we don't sin? What?

I hope you mean something I'm not seeing, because I don't post as if we don't sin. I've been insisting on the opposite of that all along.

Now I know why you two argue, you are the culprit, lol
Did you not say this:
if a person sins, they obviously don't love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
this implies that people who love the Lord don't sin.

They were expecting eternal life. They gave up a lesser life to assure themselves of it. It is not an entirely selfless act.
Now if that ain't cynical I don't know what is. You could just have easily said something like "They were expecting to see God, whom they loved."

To everyone:

When I do not reply to a person on the forums, it can be for several reasons. I do not want to say what these reasons are so as not to hurt anyone. But God knows the truth. What may appear like a person may be innocent, and I am in the wrong, God knows what is really going on. He knows all things, and men cannot escape those things that are hidden that others do not know about. There is no need for me to get justice. God takes care of that. I simply forgive, and love and move on. God will reveal all things that are hidden in their due time. While I can pray, and love a person from a far, it does not mean I don't care and love them. But my distance from them is so as to protect myself and them so as to keep the peace with the love of God. This may not make sense to anyone reading this, but when God reveals all things, you will know the truth.

May God's love shine upon you all this evening.

God uses it to show his glory; sooner or later this will be obvious --at the least when his wrath, justice and righteousness is seen conquering the devil, if not sooner.
OK. So devil worship is for the glory of God, according to you. How about rape? Is rape also for the glory of God?

I have to ask you BH, do you think we can always keep the commandments of Jesus, I mean like not once in a while fail to do so? I ask because I know I don't always keep Jesus' commandments, even I know I should.

Job 1:1 says,
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”

Luke 1:5-6 says,
“There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” (Luke 1:5-6).

Revelation 14:3-5 says,
“And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.” (Revelation 14:3-5).

Many do not like what His Word says in many places, so they seek to either ignore it or change it to fit a belief they find more comforting to them. If I read these verses like a child, and simply read and believe them and not try to change these above verses, then I must conclude that it is possible based solely on what God's Word says. But men try to go off their own experiences as the guide or marker of their faith. But this is not what we build our faith upon. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). So if a believer struggles with sin, and they think it is impossible, they need to believe Scripture that says that with God, all things are possible. They need to believe Job 1:1, and Luke 1:5-6, and Revelation 14:3-5. For without faith, it is impossible to please God according to Hebrews 11. So what are we going to do when we stand before Him and we did not believe or have a simple faith in His Word like a child? What are we going to do? I pray that we may all change today and simply read God's Word plainly and believe it. But I know many will not do that. For narrow is the way that leads unto life, and FEW be there that find it.

You might want to read and try to comprehend his point before responding. It’s like you read the first sentence, and ignored the rest.

But Jesus said in a John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NASB

Your saying this greatest love is a love of self? Jesus said there is no greater love than this which to me says that martyrs have proven that they love God with all their heart. I mean if no one can possibly love more than this then it’s pretty clear that’s all the heart a person can possibly love with.

If they do not eventually live righteously and overcome their mortal sin, they are not going to make it. For Paul basically says be not deceived, the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

Taking every thought captive is impossible. Everyone has terrible thoughts pop into their head uncontrollably. How we deal with those thoughts determines whether or not we have sinned against God.

Read this verse below and believe it, friend.

2 Corinthians 10:5
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

NO! (People who love the Lord don't continue in sin, yes). It only implies that people who sometimes sin don't love the Lord with all their being. If I love the Lord it doesn't mean I won't ever sin.

Are you now going to tell me that you don't ever sin? You love the Lord, don't you? Yet, yes, you sin, at least sometimes, if not often unknowingly, with sin God hasn't brought to your mind yet. And you sin sometimes even though you love the Lord, and so do I.

There is a difference, I think you will admit, between Loving the Lord, and Loving the Lord with all one's heart, soul, mind and strength.

It seems to me you two argue with each other no matter what thread you are on. Are you two blood brothers, lol?

I am not against any individual but I am against the wrong belief that contradicts Scripture. If a person happens to align themselves with a wrong belief, that is between them and God. I am just a messenger of God's Word. I did not write His holy Word. God inspired men by the Holy Spirit to write Scripture.

You are misrepresenting what I said. God uses it for his own Glory. He allowed it for his own Glory. He even planned for it to happen, and that, for the sake of his own Glory. It is not intended, by those who do it, for his Glory. Don't make me say what I didn't say. One doesn't worship the Devil with the motivation to glorify God.

Why go the step further? I have just answered it. Why bother with devil worship and rape? Why not go with the most innocuous, insipid, inconsequential wrongdoing you can think of? It is no difference. The sinner intended it for evil, but God MEANT IT for good.

Do you honestly think the worst thing in the history of the human race can compare with the Glory of what awaits us? It isn't even on the same scale.

Do you think the command implies the ability to obey the command? Or does God say the Law is given to reveal what is in us?

A command logically implies that one must do such a command, otherwise it would not be a command. God does not tell us to do that which is impossible. That would be dishonest of God to give us faulty instructions that are not true. God speaks truth. He would not tell us to do something that we could not do.

Why are you trying to undo the Lord's first greatest commandment? What do you have to gain? Do you want people to not strive at obeying God? Jesus wants us to obey Him. For Jesus says if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15). You say you can love Jesus and not keep His commandments. But I am sticking with Jesus on this one.
