I gotta say though..She was an excellent addition to CF. Was bit of an alpha, however. That's okay. I am too. And strong personalities clash sometimes. Was a shame.

Yeah, that's one thing I can say about myself. I'm quite brazen that way.

It's this modern day dating culture that's causing it - a young'un will watch online dating coaches and they'll say "don't look needy, don't be nice, etc" when it's actually the wrong approach in my book. Be the best version of yourself and tell them you dig em' - and do it with conviction. Even if they don't reciprocate they WILL 100% respect you. You're never going to get called a creep for doing that, you only appear a creep when you're passive about it.

"Hey, bought you chocolates - I'll see you tomorrow when I make you a soundtrack" -which is fine, when it's your wife's birthday and she KNOWS you love her.

I actually told her somewhere (I think - don't trust my memory). She was quite flattered I think.

Yeah, she was headstrong for sure. That's what I like generally. Nothing else really matters to be honest.

I agree. Though it does depend on the kind of woman you're after and their background. Personally, I like a challenge. And what you said..Even if they don't reciprocate, they will know and they will definitely respect you. However, I will say, the easier and more shallow a gal is, the less it takes. For them, it doesn't even take talking. You can get a long way with some women just by the way you look at them. These days, (if I even care to bother), I don't go that route though. Not much quality to those. For the ones worth their salt, it takes more.

Okay, ... I think it's safe to say now that ...

I really have a crush on this lady I work with, Erin.


Wavy brunette hair, the most innocent blue eyes, and a practically heart-shaped face. And the worst I have seen of her personality (yesterday when she claimed to be angry in the moment when I asked her if she was feeling out of it due to her seeming so quiet - even for her) still has her smile and laugh a bit with no angry or bitter-sounding words whatsoever, at least not with me. Two other ladies I work with also speak of Erin as being a real sweetheart. So I do not believe my assessment of her good nature to be at all false or wrongfully optimistic.

I wish I was there now to be honest. London is sort of on lockdown (?) But not completely. I'd rather be giving the vendors of NY my business. A 3am Bryant Park serving of lamb over rice would go down well now - honestly, those guys are life savers. So much food for only a few dollars.
