Is it a commentary on what the Lord considers worse a soldier shedding blood or foreign gods? The foreign gods Solomon was just one of the things Solomon did and yet soldering disqualified DAVID. I have worried about this for years as I have watched conservative Christians fill up our military. Are we disqualifying these wonderful kids from building the Lord’s house? My husband served in Vietnam Nam and one thing he always said was “it doesn’t say thou shalt not kill unless Lyndon Blaine’s Johnson has said for you to do it.” He became even more troubled when he saw what transpired between David and Solomon.

For us we believe the Lord is pretty committed to this no killing command.

Then get your focus off of the ten commandments, which was a temporary covenant with the nation of Israel.

In Galatians 3:16-29 the Apostle Paul says the law was "added" 430 years "after" the promise made to Abraham "until" the seed (Christ) could come to whom the promise was made.

In Galatians 4:24-31 the Apostle Paul compels the Galatian believers to "cast out" the Sinai Covenant of "bondage".

Based on Hebrews 8:6-13, we are now under a better covenant, made on better promises.

great thread. The Lord made it clear that what men needed was "circumcision of the Heart.." not done by hands but done by the Holy Spirit. The Lord told Israel in the Book of Jeremiah that Israel in their rejection of the Lord was no different from the Gentile nations. The Lord would go on to teach the great teacher of Israel spiritual words on the need to be Born Again which was typified by needing and getting circumcision of the heart where the stone is meant to be replaced by the heart of flesh He placed wrote the Royal Law of Love. Love fulfills the Law. If you want to understand why the Law is so attractive even after the Seed to who pointed us to cease? The written Law was seen as an eye for an eye covenant. Not temporary at all. Every letter in the Bible has meaning for us today. Of course we have translation and interpretation. The law has a different meaning for our generation then for the generation that was alive at the time of Moses. The was designed to teach us and show us the way of righteousness. God can still use their witness and testimony. I know lots of Vietnam vets and I trained for Vietnam back in the 70's. They were training me how to pick up arms and legs and put them in body bags. They said don't worry about matching the arms and legs up with the body. No one can do that, it will make you crazy and you will not be able to do your job.

A letter can be made up from as many as 5 pen strokes and every stroke of the pen has profound infinite meaning. Every book in the world could not contain the meaning of just one stroke of the pen in the law. For example, the Yod, the smallest of the Hebrew letters represents the big bang that is the beginning of time and our universe. This shows how profound the meaning of the letters that make up the law. The law is just as valid today as it was when Moses received the Law from God. Does the law save us? No, our only claim is the Blood of Jesus. The law shows us the way to live right before God.

Let me gives you an example. The law says NOT to eat the FAT of animals. Today this is the leading cause of death in America. Coronary artery disease. The fat is to be a burnt offering before God. We are to burn it out of our food and not eat it. When I was growing up my mom use to take all the grease and mix it with flour and make gravy out of it. She died from Coronary artery disease. Do we have to follow the law? No, but if we do not then we will reap what we sow and there will be consequences. As Paul says: "why many among you are weak and sick," 1Cor11:30

The new covenant is better then the old covenant based on better promises. The law does not save us, only the Blood of Jesus can save us. People think they can earn there way to salvation by being good enough and no one is that good. This is why Jesus went to Calvary for us to pay the price for our sin and our transgression. We are washed and cleansed in the blood of Jesus so that we (the BRIDE) are without spot, blemish or wrinkle. Our garment is our flesh.

The law does not save us, if we are saved we will follow the law. When I was first saved I understood from the beginning you can not put the cart before the horse.

here is something Paul told me and I didn't have to go anywhere except into His Word. Hope yours was a nice trip too. Paul was used by the Holy Spirit I am surprised he did not tell you this it truth seems pretty important to me.

17 But if, while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a minister of sin? God forbid. I died to the Law through the Law. The Law put me to death to the Law and this is one of the things that God's Law is designed to do. To go against this is going against His Will for what His Law was to accomplish. We either died in Christ or we didn't.

19 For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live unto God. We must die to the Law that I might live for God. The Law prevents me from living for God. The Law in Romans 7 prevents me from bearing fruit to God again. But something is added and we are tught that the Law is our husband and as long as we are married to the Law we cannot be the Bride of Christ. We must die and be reborn and then we may marry our correct Husband and we died to the Law through the Law when we died in Him on the cross. I know a good divorce lawyer if you need one.

every Christian is bound to believe and obey.

There are consequences for every christian. Our Priesthood has to do with our ministry and who God is able to use. If I violate my priesthood then God will not be able to use me anymore. That does not mean I am not saved. This explains why there are so many mixed up and confused Christians that do not represent God or the truth. They are still Christians and they are still saved. If they have any rewards waiting for them in Heaven remains to be seen. Heaven is excited about me because we have rewards that show up in Heaven so they can see what we are doing here on this earth. I know a girl that works with other women and they are very excited in Heaven for the work she is doing here to set the captive free from bondage. You should listen to some of Kat Kerrs videos on youtube. I really enjoy the annotating on her "revelations" she does call herself a teacher.

I did not travel there, but I was there in a instant. That is why I said to listen to Kat Kerr because she talks a lot about Heaven. She has been there more then 1,000 times. I was given 12 seconds of Paul's time.
