the prophet Moses is said to be a prophet so great that only Messiah Himself would be greater than him. So let’s take a look at one of the greatest prophecy. A prophecy that contains the entire history of Israel from her beginning to her end. Fascinatingly enough the entire Gentile church age is also in this magnificent prophecy De. 32
32 Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth. 2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain; My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb.
3 For I will proclaim the name of Jehovah: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God. All of creation will the testimony about the Lord God Almighty. The doctrine is perfect for all.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are justice: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he. 5 They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation. We have here what is part of an ever expanding revelation of the who is the Seed and the Rock. We know that there is but one Rock spoken of in this manner and He is the Christ. This Rock is God and perfect in all His ways. The people spoken of here who will act corruptly with Him as we know they did almost from the beginning of His public ministry and certainly until the end. They are Lo-Ami not My people. And then we hear the Lord speaking they are a perverse and crooked generation. This is the apostate portion of Israel in every generation from which there is always a faithful remnant as well.
6 Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee. they have acted foolishly and unwise towards as well as corruptly. This Rock is their Father but this is not God the Father the Father of Yeshua. This is the Lord Jesus who is our Father and through Him, the one Son of God, we have now been made sons and may call Him Abba. It is only through faith in the Son Jesus Christ that anyone may call The Father Abba, Jew or Gentile.
7 Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will show thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee. 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel. Remember the days of old when the Rock led them through the wilderness and they drank water from that Rock and Paul tells us that "Rock was Christ." This is not a New Rock this was the Rock of the Patriarchs. The Ancient of Days Jesus Christ. Israel's relationship with the Lord Jesus was so special that it was He gave the Gentiles lands based not on the number of their children but on the number of Israelites. Did Israel see and know the Lord as did those who lived during His lifetime of course not. We are told that before He came we saw Him as through a glass darkly and this is true for those looking forward to the Light of the World as well as for us before we became believers and it was then that we could see His marvelous Light, His Glory.
As we move on we will see just how special a relationship He had with Israel and what Israel's response was to all He blessed her with.
