i was wondering what is your favorite game of all time and which game console it’s for and it can come from any game console. Let’s have fun with this!
The Sims. The first time I played it was on the X-Box console. Night passed and morning arrived and I was still playing! I’ve played various iterations over the years and created the ultimate male, female, and child sims respectively.
Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes and Halo would be close seconds.
The children tended to stress me out so once my sims reached that point, I would play for a while and move on to another single sim, or maybe a house of two or three adult roommates, all of them strange or unique in some way.
In one game in Sims 2, I used Strangetown to start a secret military base who, among other research projects, was breeding alien sims. Most of the adults either wore some sort of alien garb or military fatigues.
It can drive a sane person bonkers! ~lol
But I figured out some neat tricks to lessen the stress. I’ve played the console and PC versions with expansions. My daughter is usually yelling at the screen. ~laughs
How neat! My favorite moments were putting mom to work. She’ll make gnomes and that added to the coffers. I created a super kid. I think it’s Sims 2 that provided a babysitter. But the kids can earn skills and they’re easier to max out.
I had an overachieving Sim who maxed out the business career in one week and she was missing a trait. In Sims 3 I put the kids to work as writers and loved creating a garden and vineyard.
I'd love to take the sims that Maxis made and see what I could do with them despite some of them having very serious flaws by sim perfection standards.
LOL the gnomes. I remember in one of the Sims games, I had a sim create a whole bunch of gnomes and put them all over the yard. It was rare for any time to pass without at least one sim passersby out in the yard kicking the pieces out of it and yelling!
I think their sweet spot was Sims 3. The expansions added elements but the base game was fun. The butler in Nightlife is nuts! There’s a version who gets drunk and collapses and another who won’t stop cooking. He buys the meals from the fridge. He’s hilarious.
LOL They probably annoyed them. My favorite element is the whifferpuffer. I have mad love for that thing!
Oh that butler!
LOL! He’s crazy. The first one I hired kept making drinks and playing a game. He’d make another and play some more until he collapsed from drunkenness on the floor and fell asleep. I had to wake him up to fire him. ~lol
How do you like Sims 4?
Remember the peeing and laughing Santa Claus?
Mercy! I really wonder who comes up with some of the characters.
Many said it was a stripped down version of Sims 3. Do you agree? The console version sounds nice.
I'd say Sims 4 is definitely worth getting if you are playing on console and you just want another sims game, and it goes on sale fairly frequently too.
Thanks for your feedback. We have all the expansion packs for the previous version and haven’t finished them. I didn’t get an Xbox One. I’ve debated it and decided otherwise.
