Andrea Pitzer, author of One Long Night: A Global History of Concentration Camps, has a more global definition. There have been concentration camps in France, South Africa, Cuba, the Soviet Union, and—with Japanese internment—the United States. In fact, she contends we are operating such a system right now in response to a very real spike in arrivals at our southern border.
“We have what I would call a concentration camp system,” Pitzer says, “and the definition of that in my book is, mass detention of civilians without trial.”

Don't be this woman:
Gotta love right-wing tokenism and the people like Owens who embrace it. Considering this woman has minimized slavery and the Civil Rights Movement, inaccurate pictures like this are slap in the face to the African Americans who really sacrificed their lives for civil rights in the US.Reminds me of the more current nuts doing the same to this woman

When a person suggests that a time when more than 50% of African Americans living in poverty with de jure segregation was better than the current landscape, they are patently ignorant and haphazardly foolish at best. She doesn't argue facts, she echoes racist talking points that appeal to her audience under the guise that a black voice saying it means she is somehow authentic or "deep." She is the personification of Bamboozled.I don't think so at all, I would encourage folks to tune into some of her talks and see for themselves.
