Yes, your claim to John 10:28 has already been refuted, since you took the half of Jesus statement and lifted it out of the context, while ignoring the condition for receiving eternal life.
I've done no such thing, as everyone else knows. v.28 is a single statement addressing both the
CAUSE and
EFFECT of having eternal life. And I proved that by color coding the words, so that there can be no confusion as to what the verse means:
And
I give them eternal life, and
they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
What you keep FAILING to do is refute the fact that v.28 is about the cause and effect of having eternal life.
As everyone else knows, v.27 is a description of Jesus' sheep. There are NO conditions mentioned in v.27.
eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; Romans 2:7
Still confused by this verse, I see. As everyone else knows, Paul was making the point that ONLY perfect obedience could anyone earn eternal life.
As everyone else knows, NO HUMAN BEING is able to do that. Because after writing 2:6-8 Paul THEN wrote these words in the next chapter, which you have refused to acknowledge:
9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that
Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.
iow, those who are under the power of sin, which includes "all of us", cannot "by patient continuance in doing good" earn eternal life.
10 As it is written: “There is
no one righteous, not even one;
More evidence that no human being is capable of continuance in doing good.
12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is
no one who does good, not even one.”
20 Therefore
no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
23 for
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
You mention "refute" yet these very verses have totally refuted your very unbiblical views.
All while you dodge and refuse to answer the question.
Total LIE. I've answered it thrice.
No, the question is why do you continue to LIE? And ignore my question to you?
Based on the teaching of ES, OSAS, If a born again Christian takes the mark of the beast and worships him, are they still saved?
Yes?
or
No?
As I've already explained, I'll answer your bogus question AGAIN (4th time) but ONLY AFTER you answer my question to you:
Have you stopped beating your wife yet? Yes or no?
I have demonstrated by my question how your question is bogus and illegitimate by being based in a false premise.
Whether you actually do beat your wife isn't my point. But my question ASSUMES that you do, to demonstrate a false premise.
And your question ASSUMES there will be believers who do take the mark of the beast.
How come you can't figure out that if that ever does happen, then what Jesus said in John 10:28 becomes a total lie.
Jesus, who is omniscient, and already knows that no believer will take the mark, would have had to say this, if any believer would take the mark:
I give them eternal life, and IF they don't take the mark of the beast, they shall never perish.
Or this:
I give them eternal life, and AS LONG AS they don't take the mark of the beast, they shall never perish.
But everyone knows exactly what Jesus said in v.28. There are no conditions for never perishing except receiving the gift of eternal life.
So, once the gift of eternal life is received, the recipient of that gift SHALL NEVER PERISH.
Your views are in direct opposition to the Savior's words. How does that make you feel?
How come the Holy Spirit hasn't convicted you of that yet? Or have you just shrugged it all off and, as Steven told the Sanhedrin, keep resisting the Holy Spirit?
