Since John 5:28-29 shows the "resurrection of damnation" will occur on the same day as the "resurrection of life" when Jesus returns, then who are the "dead" in Rev.20:5?

If you understand John 5:28-29, then one cannot say the wicked dead are only raised at the end of the Rev.20 thousand years.
Onviously not just the wicked will be Judged during the Great White Throne Judgment Revelation 20:11-15 after the 1,000 years.
Revelation 20:15
15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Upon those that will be left alive in a mortal body

When God's consuming fire burns all of man's works off this earth like Peter said will occur on "the day of the Lord", mankind will no longer be in a flesh type body.

I'm well aware of the few of those who come upon Jerusalem on the last day being preserved into Christ's Millennium per the end of Zech.14.

And yes, the John 5:28-29 Scripture is... definitely about the time of Jesus' 2nd coming, for that is when His "voice" happens with a shout, and the dead in Christ rise first...

1 Thess 4:16
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
KJV

I agree. The mere mention of a "first" resurrection automatically precludes the idea of at least one more. Problem is though, the majority think the second resurrection is about the "dead" being raised to be judged when the second resurrection is about those who will come to Christ Jesus during the thousand years, and be joined with the first resurrection after the GWT judgment. Their names will be found in the Book.

I mentioned that involving "the dead in Christ" if you'll go back read what I said.

The wicked will be separated from His sheep, per Matt.25.

The wicked alive will be slain by Jesus at the Battle of Armageddon Revelation 19.

No Resurrection of the -dead wicked- will happen unto the Coming Of Jesus.

Only the first part of Revelation 12 is about history lesson....That is needed to tell us about the conflict betwen Jesus [God]and Satan...that conflict will include the remnant of the Woman seed [Christians]...that Satan will be ALLOWED to physically overcome us.

I think you are on the right track here.

We should expect the same kind of persecution suffered by the early Church, based on Revelation 12:11.

Christ did not save our mortal flesh body.
He saved our immortal soul.

The first in only temporary.

In John 5:28-29 there is no mention of the Coming of Jesus....

John 5:27-30 begins and ends with text about Christ being the judge.
Sandwiched in between is the bodily resurrection and judgment of "all" the dead.

We find out when the judgment comes in the verse below.

2Ti 4:1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

At His appearing---->wicked alive slain by Jesus at Armageddon, their bodies eated by the birds. The Beast and False Prophet cast alive into the lake of Fire Revelation 19:20-21.

Prophets [dead] and Saints [dead] REWARDED Revelation 20:4-6 ...Christians still alive and remain who have not taken the mark rewarded with them ----->receive immortal body to reign with Jesus...First Resurrection.

There will be no 1000 year kingdom on this earth at the return of Jesus Christ, as you claim in error.

Matthew 25:31-46 clearly teaches at the return of Jesus Christ, The Final Judgement, Eternal Life, Eternal Kingdom takes place.

Verses 31-32 Jesus returns with the holy angels, the nations are gathered before the "Great White Throne" for judgment.

Verse 34 The "Eternal Kingdom" is presented to the righteous.

Verse 41 The wicked are judged to the "Eternal Lake Of Fire"

Verse 46 The righteous obtain "Eternal Life" and enter the "Eternal Kingdom" seen in verse 34

Simple, And Very Clear :)

Will you continue to teach in error, of a temporary 1000 year kingdom at the return of Jesus Christ, you have clearly been shown the truth of God's words?

Jesus Christ Is Lord :)

You use 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 as a proof text for the believers being resurrected/gathered?

This event of the saved believers resurrection takes place on "The Last Day" as Jesus teaches in John 6:40

When "Death Is Swallowed Up In Victory" 1 Corinthians 15:52-54

There is no mortal human life beyond this point, as you believe a 1000 year kingdom takes place on this earth, with mortal humans present, after the events shown?

Have you read what PRECEDE 1 Corinthians 15:52-54 ?

Here the step by step plan of God ...

1 Corinthians 15:22-27

22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at HIS COMING.
---------------------------------------------------
24 Then [cometh] the end, WHEN he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, TILL he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

27 For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But WHEN he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.
28 And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him,
that God may be all in all.

Now look at Revelation 19:20 and tell us how much will be cast alive into the lake of fire UNTO THE COMING OF JESUS?

Revelation 19:20-21

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone:
21 and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, [even the sword] which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 11:18

List of things to do ....Remember that the Two Witnesses will be killed by the Beast who cometh out of the bottomless pit at the end of the 6 TH Trumpet events (Second Woe).......

The nations were angry because of the calamity of the 6 First Trumpets + The calimities provoqued by the Two Witnesses.

--The Beast who cometh out of the Bottomless pit [who killed the Two Witnesses ] will become at that moment the most popular "man" in the World ----

Revelation 11:18
Satan have not even been cast out of Heaven at this point ...

Remember the 7 TH trumpet announce the THIRD WOE ...
