Or visa verso. In any case you are not equipped to call Scripture confused. Nor to call evolution correct. Maybe you despise Sodom lifestyles and abortions? Go ahead..stand out here as something different than a run of the mill evo.Yeah, because God is and thinks like you.
No, they wanted sex. Murdering sex. They refused the daughter of Lot, and wanted the good looking men.
They were men. Homo men.
No they lusted after them.Rape is not about sex, it's about power, control, and violence. What the mob wanted to do was to hurt the visitors.
No they lusted after them.
International Standard Version
Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near them, which like them committed sexual sins and pursued homosexual activities, serve as an example of the punishment of eternal fire.
4 Before bedtime, men both young and old and from every part of Sodom surrounded Lot’s house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the two men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sexual relations with them.”
6 Lot went outside to them, closing the door behind him. 7 He said, “No, my brothers! Do not do this evil thing. 8 Look! I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. I will give them to you, and you may do anything you want with them. But please don’t do anything to these men. They have come to my house, and I must protect them.”
9 The men around the house answered, “Move out of the way!” Then they said to each other, “This man Lot came to our city as a stranger, and now he wants to tell us what to do!” They said to Lot, “We will do worse things to you than to them.” They started pushing him back and were ready to break down the door.
Clearly they lusted after the men.
The context is clear. You cannot pick out something a word can also sometimes mean to override the clear context.אַנְשֵׁי, the people of the city. Not males. אַנְשֵׁי doesn't mean "males" it means "mortals", "people", "humans". In English "men" can refer to male human beings, and it can refer to human beings generally. You are assuming that "men" here means "male", but that isn't what it means, it means "human".

So where, contextually, does it restrict the mob to homosexual males?

Sexually."They said to Lot, 'We will do worse things to you than to them.'”
That's not lust. That's intent to harm.

Where would you get the idea it was anything else by the story? One assumes if it was gay women, they would not have rejected the daughters!
Young and old men gathered at Lot's house. You think that sounds like young girls? You seem to be under the impression that straight men, or women (regardless of orientation) are incapable of wishing to sexually assault men for the purpose of hurting them.
In which case you don't seem to understand how the real world works.

Sexually.

Even if some women were there, the men were leading the group. The sin of men with men is clearly the focus. The rest of the bible makes it clear that is wicked. Those who seek to divert from this, especially religious people, as far as I am concerned are pandering to homosexuals . Possibly they engage in that sin also. Also, if they knew they were angels, they would have known to fear them. There's no reason to assume women weren't part of the mob.
Maybe it was all men and no women, but the text doesn't say that. The text doesn't focus on the gender of the mob, it only tells us that there was a mob and that they wanted to sexually violate the angels.

That is only because you don't want to admit your error even when it has been made clear to you.Even if some women were there, the men were leading the group. Those who seek to divert from this, especially religious people, as far as I am concerned are pandering to homosexuals . You derive what you like from Scripture.Heterosexual rape is not heterosexuality anymore than homosexual rape is homosexuality.
