Oh Jason, I'm afraid you show your true heart in the above.
It is always the same sadly. A law of righteousness leads to hypocrisy, demanding of others what you do not demand of yourself, untruthful statements and so much more.

Again, show me the post # or be silent already.
In other words, it's sort of like the following:
Rick: I know your guilty, guilty, guilty.
Bob: Okay, then bring forth the evidence.
Rick: Well, I am not going to bother.
Bob: Okay. That sure makes a whole lot of sense.

You said:
Answer this then. You say the Christian is under a law of righteousness. How many laws does this involve?

Is a Christian under certain laws in the New Testament that relates to their salvation? .... "Yes."
Matthew 6:15, Matthew 5:28-30, 1 John 3:15, Galatians 5:19-21, Revelation 21:8.

As for the exact number, I have not counted them.
But you can be comforted that they are not endless list that we possibly cannot know.
Also, the Holy Spirit convicts us to repent of any serious sin, too.

If I am not telling the truth, accuse me of lying when I say you have many times stated the Christian has a righteousness of observing 1050 NT commands
So now you claim not to know the number of commands you are righteous by observing?
If you are under a law of righteousness, your salvation/ rightstanding with God hinges on observing those commands

Are each and every one of Christ's literal commands in the gospels part of the law you are righteous by observing?

Why? Do you not know that number? I am sure in time I can figure it out for you if you like. How many verses talk about how you can sin and still be saved?

As for the continued accusations: Really. It is getting old already. Either prove your case or be silent already.

Yes, I would love to know how many commandments the Christian is declared righteous by observing

Why? So you can continue to ignore them?

...
The difference between you and me is. I don't need a law of righteousness to make me want to obey God. You do. For you have also many times stated if you believed no law of righteousness existed you would feel free to sin as much as you wanted.
An extraordinary statement, IF the law is in your heart

I only have one message when it comes to eternal security, it's not biblical.

It's man made, and sends a message one can do as they wish once saved and still enter into the Kingdom of God, so not only is it not biblical, it's very dangerous.
I'm confused: JESUS CAME PREACHING THE gospel of the Kingdom...the kingdom at Hand...
One is tranlated from darkness into the kingdom of His dear son..
.....so What are we missing?

In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in whom also you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance, until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His Glory.

In Christ
Daniel

Yes sir. Amen.

God sets His seal of approval on those who believe.

Believe is the condition for being saved.

  • Believers have the promise of salvation.

11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. Luke 8:11-12

Key: lest they should believe and be saved.

However, those who depart from Christ, while under persecution, no longer believe.

But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Luke 8:13

Key: who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

  • Matthew says it this way:

But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Matthew 13:20-21

  • but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

You said you can work it out. Please do. Surely you would want us all to know

I am doing an indepth study on God's commands in the New Testament unlike other people. When I finish my findings I will make them available for all.

The problem I have is that you appear to mock that we should obey God's commands in the New Testament. This is not a new thing for me. At another time, I created a thread a study thread on the commands in the New Testament. It was just a study thread and not a debate thread and yet people who believed in Eternal Security immediately took offense to doing this kind of study. I wonder why that is?
In other words, is it your deep desire to really uplift God and His good ways and for you to obey HIm with every fiber of your being? I know every day, my cells crave that. My very existence is to do God's will and what is pleasing and good in His sight. For the will of man will fade away like the dust and be no more. But God's purposes and plans will last forever.

Jason it seems is going to do his sums again as how many commands the Christian must observe to be righteous.
Possibly his last calculator was faulty

Nowhere did I state that the 1,050 + commands New Testament list was an exhaustive forever list for all believers. In other posts at CF, I have stated before that this is only but one source of information that is incomplete. For I also said before that I had added to their list, too. I have found other websites that had lists of God's New Testament commands, too. I am doing an indepth study on these commands from the gospels to Revelation. So it is going to take some time before I make available my findings to all.

Do you believe certain sins can separate a believer from God if they do not ask the Lord for forgiveness of those sins?

Ask me questions, when you are prepared to answer questions put to you.

Is part of the law you believe Christians are righteous by observing, all of the literal Commandments of Christ?

When I say we believers are to obey all of the commands in the New Testament, I am sayin that is the goal for every believer to eventually achieve within this life time. Like being "perfect" as Jesus commands us to be, it is a goal and is usually not an overnight thing. It takes time to fully read, understand and then obey all of God's commands in the New Testament. Not all of His commands in the New Testament relate to our salvation. But I can point out to you many verses that talk about certain sins (i.e. the breaking of certain God's commands) that do relate to our salvation. Please see: Matthew 5:22, Matthew 5:28-30, Matthew 6:15, Matthew 25:14-30, Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 9:26, Acts of the Apostles 5:1-11, Acts of the Apostles 8:22, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3-6, Colossians 3:5-8, 1 Timothy 5:11-16, 1 Timothy 6:9-12, 1 John 3:15, Revelation 21:8.

For it is written...

5 "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; )
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."
(Romans 2:5-16).

As for mocking obedience to Gods commands. I haven't come on this website demanding of others what I do not demand of myself. No love for your neighbour if you do that.
Neither do I lie when asked questions about previous statements I have made. I answer honestly.
Christianity is NOT about making pat statements that have no bearing on the reality of your own life

I have no idea what you are missing.

So your argument is Jesus preached the gospel, and mentioned the Kingdom was at hand so eternal security is valid?? I have no idea how that is a defense for ES...could you please explain?
