I pretty much believe that most suicides go to hell. But when I hear of children--tweens and teens, committing suicide, it's even more sad, imagining a kid in hell. What do you think on this issue? Sad because they think they're ending their pain, but their pain ends up becoming magnified by 1 million for eternity...
This kid has helped me my depression, so talented. I had to share...

There are some essential doctrines Christians must believe. These doctrines are very clearly presented in the Bible. Everything else is speculation or derived from reasoning. Our desire or need to make the puzzle complete urges us to assume things not divinely revealed. A mature faith learns to live with not knowing because trusting in the LORD is enough.

Suicide as an unforgivable sin is derived in western Christianity from Roman Catholicism. The reasoning goes like the following:
Life or the divine breath is what provides life,
then the extinguishing of life is the ultimate unholy act - either by murder or suicide.

I would encourage you to pay particular attention to post number 17. To some degree most believers have times when the pain is too great or nothing makes sense. Every one has a different level of tolerance and strength.

The English Meaning of the term gospel is "good news." The good news is that our acceptance before YHWH is not what I do but what YHWH has done and will do. It is in our futile attempts, our inadequate efforts, our failures, and our blatant disobedience that grace abounds - AMAZINGLY!

And this you are promised. We cannot tell the difference between a wheat and a tare.
In fact, it is NOT our job. It is the job of the Lord. Don't speculate but trust that YHWH is righteous, good, merciful, gracious, and loving. We don't need to know everything YHWH knows.

the movie screen of life, we will get to see the consequences of our actions taken and NOT taken, that will be a sad sad day to look upon. So in everything we do and everywhere we go, we need to know and make sure that no blood is on our hands.
Amen and I agree.

There is good news about the movie screen of life. As we stand watching with your husband, your parents and grandparents, your children and grandchildren, and all your close friends - and you know what is the next scene - and you are ashamed for all to see - but the image is covered - covered with the blood of the Lord Jesus - All that those watching ever see are the jewels in your crown - Can we shout about that?

Your example - A hard message to deliver - I am grateful to have delivered the words, "This is your last opportunity" to a healthy forty year old - because it was. However, sometimes we think that the LORD's work depends upon our obedience. It never does. If your neighbor was to receive the warning, then the message was delivered by another, and you learned a lesson about how to discern His voice and about obedience . . . and the lapse of twenty years has not blurred your commitment.

The only suicidal child I have met was 6 years old and her father had died unexpectedly. Her plan was to go lay in the middle of the road and let a car run over her. Her mother told her to let her know and that they would all do it together (mom, suicidal child, and older sister) because mom's greatest fear was that the child would go try it in the middle of the night when she actually might not be seen in the darkness. Others may not understand but they had a running conversation about what shoes they would wear because this is how the mother could assess how serious the girl was on any given day while mom was desperately was trying to get her some help. (This girl is now a teenager).

You can't even begin to tell me if this young girl had committed suicide that God would reject her instead of loving her young soul.

Children go to Heaven. I know some people do not believe this, but I think the Bible supports this view in Matthew 18.

Also, as other people have already mentioned, the only unpardonable sin is rejecting Christ as Saviour.

Some also use the imprecatory Psalm 69 as indicating that all people begin life with their names in the “Book of Life.” Therefore, before one is old enough to sin all people are saved – or new borns have their names in the “Book of Life.” The psalmist is asking for his adversaries to be blotted from the “Book of Life.”

Psalm 69:28

May they be blotted out of the book of life
And may they not be recorded with the righteous.

or maybe they have unbearable pain that no one has been able to offer any relief....it is hard to have "faith" when you can't think or want to throw up non-stop...and that goes on for days and months and years

also, many mental illnesses related to chemical imbalances cause hopelessness....

Be careful about not judging when you are not wearing the shoes of those who are truly suffering...

Not having faith that God will relieve your suffering is not the same of not believing in God or Jesus as the Savior.... God doesn't no condemn anyone for underestimating how big He is...if He did, most of us wouldn't be granted salvation.
Been there..
The answer is in the Gospel..
Nothing else amounts to more Then sticking plasters over cut off heads.

That is very insulting to every Christian who becomes depressed as a Christian. Antidepressant were much more than "plaster on a cut off head". They helped me function so I could express my Christian beliefs again instead of dreading getting out of bed. Is the answer to diabetes in the Gospel too and insulin is just plaster?

suicide is a sin for sure, but I believe that sin does not send us to hell if we have accepted Christ as our Savior. One moment of weakness does not send a believer to hell, rejection of Christ does. God Bless.:)

Yes, I always had this interpretation of the Book of Life- that everyone's name is written there, and only blotted out if you do not believe in Christ as Saviour. I wonder if it is blotted out at the moment of one's last breath.

I am convinced that no child has ever or will ever go to Hell.

Anti depressants are chemical sticking plasters.
I was in such a state and very nearly got drawn down mans path.I prayed a lot.
But the Lord warned me away from mans false remedies.so I hung in believing he(Jesus) is my true deliverer.
Some months later (short story)
I was prayed for.. Demons manifested and diciples of Jesus drove them out in Jesus name
..And I was utterly set free .
That was some time back now and if Been free from that torment ever since and repented and follow the Lord Jesus believing only in his word and not what I see or feel.
It is never insulting to declare the answer is in the Gospel(good news) of Jesus and you will Never make me ashamed for saying so.
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus because it is the Power of God into salvation to All who BELIEVE ..

Salvation encompassed and encapsulates ANYTHING of lost found .broken fixed.dark lightened, depressed made joyful.sick healed.dead made alive.captive set free.wounded made while.
All things are possible to those who believe

I am a Christian nurse who was getting mentally abused and exhausted from constantly having very sick and needy patients and working very understaffed for multiple months. Add on to that the stress of being a single mom and grief that reemerged related to my husband's death while our youngest daughter was finishing up her high school years. I never stopped praying. God was always there. No demons or horror stories beyond extreme stress and anxiety. The medications keep me from puking on my way to work from stress and helped me participate actively in my daughters life. I am not ashamed that my brain is still suffering some trauma from the death of my husband and am grateful for antidepressants that allow me to smile again and stop dreading going to work. I am grateful that God has allowed there to be medical professionals and medications that help even the brain function properly. I smile again now...and no longer wish to die. I'll take the plaster because it works....as for chemicals, the whole body is made entirely of chemicals so I don't find chemicals to be bad.

But there is a better answer .full and sure.
It is Jesus.
Your in error to equate“ being delivered of demonic torment“ with “a horror story“
Its a live story of one in deep distress rescued by one who IS light. His name is Jesus.

I must be convinced that YHWH is just, merciful, good, and trustworthy.
All the senseless, unknown, and evil things of this world are beyond my skills and honesty to create an explanation which is rationally and socially acceptable (politically correct) to either believer or unbeliever. Therefore, my trust in YHWH is a desperate trust which is necessary for my sanity. I believe because I must believe as the peace against the chaos of this world.

Jesus is already there. That is how I survived every shift until I finally broke down and got the prescription. I prayed all the way to work (still do). Your assumption is that Jesus heals all illnesses if we just turn to Him ... and yet, strong Christians still suffer and die of diseases. God never promised perfect health on this side of death. There is a difference between depression meaning I am temporarily sad about something and depression as a medical diagnosis. It is similar to the difference between saying "I love Oreos" and telling your husband or child that you love them.

You are part of the problem and why Christians often don't seek help for problems involving the mind...because we are accused of not having enough faith, or living with unforgiven sin, or whatever. I suppose my husband's lack of faith caused his cancer too? No, sickness exists because of original sin...not lack of faith. A chemical imbalance in the brain is a real thing and keeps the brain from functioning the way God designed it to work.

God answered my prayer for relief with meds that work since He didn't answer it with less critical patients, more staffing (we are still short staffed), or a job offer in another unit.

What can be said? Never allow anyone's judgment to qualify your life. Everyone is different (spiritually and chemically). Be extremely grateful for modern medicine, being in this country, for your job, and your children. Gratitude is essential for worship and healing. Tell the druggist how grateful you are to be where you can get help. Praise the doctor for his help. There are 7 billion people in this world who think you have a better life than they do.

Nursing - no one but a nurse knows unless it is the minister or chaplain who finds you alone on a floor with 14 patients and the man they just brought back from recovery is dead in his room.

I do not offer you any answer. What there is to have in such times is a desperate faith - trust because you have to trust because of all the senseless, unknown, and evil things. If you wish to find the strength to march with the Lord to victory - TRUST!

If you believe then all things are possible.

Who is it that said these words ?
Are you attributing him as part of the problem ?

All things are possible but that doesn't mean they are going to happen on this side of death. Jesus said this in a very specific situation when He was asked "if he could" heal the boy. The perfect world is after we die in Christ. God did not promise us a perfect or easy world to live in.

I was saved and "rescued" by Jesus as a very small child. He walked with me very closely and intimately as my husband was dying and for a long time afterwards. He is still there but now I live in the world of the living. Most people are not cured of medical problems through miracles. God has given us doctors and medications to treat them...but again, we all will eventually die and most people really don't die in perfect health....even devoted Christians. Even Paul lived with an affliction that haunted him that God did not remove.

No one has been judged yet. That's for a time in the future.

Those kids will come up in the second resurrection during the millennial rule of Christ, and be given God's spirit. All will be ok.

...Then where are they now?
