I pretty much believe that most suicides go to hell. But when I hear of children--tweens and teens, committing suicide, it's even more sad, imagining a kid in hell. What do you think on this issue? Sad because they think they're ending their pain, but their pain ends up becoming magnified by 1 million for eternity...
I like what James chapter 4 says theirs only one law giver and judge the one who is able to save or destroy.
We don't know what kind of pain anyone is in, in this life, God knows.
If you look at the old testament girls who weren't virgins and lived at home, were burned or stoned, something like that, I wonder how many were molested by parents.
As a kid it's hard to see the end of something, you may be suffering, and I don't think you realize how young you are then.

Most people who commit suicide really don't want to end their life, they simply want to end their suffering ... be it mental illness, chronic pain, grief, or whatever. To say that all suicides go to hell is to say that God doesn't have mercy for those who are in pain, be it mental or physical.

Hopelessness is not the unpardonable sin. That is the cause of almost every suicide...people have lost hope that their situation can get better. We all suffer from this at one time or another but just imagine having it last so long or be so intense that you no longer can face another day. People who commit suicide deserve compassion, not judgement.

Lybrah.. suicides in hell? We forget about being sick. As if its a cold a flue a cancer.. as if the mind never gets sick. It does. Fact.. people that are there in that.... well are not here. You cant see.. its so dark.. there is nothing there.. there is no way out.. nothing can help.

So to "speculate" is unwise. What some believe about where they are is not written. Sin is sin. No sin makes it to heaven. So we could say the same thing about those that simply lie. Praise GOD glory to JESUS we get no say in this. But.. the mind can be get sick also. Ask any Doctor

I don't know whether suicides "go to hell" or not. It's difficult for me to reconcile the will to commit suicide with having saving faith, but I avoid such definitive statements about goes to hell and who doesn't.
It's a hardtopic. No one but God 's n be the judge of it.

From outside of it looking in its a tough one.no way to define the basics without sounding cold.
To commit the act one enters the realm
Of despair..
to despair one must have no hope..to have no hope one must exercise no faith .to have no faith one must disbelieve God...

Why do you believe this?
I am not aware of any set of scriptures that condemn a suicide victim to condemnation.

or maybe they have unbearable pain that no one has been able to offer any relief....it is hard to have "faith" when you can't think or want to throw up non-stop...and that goes on for days and months and years

also, many mental illnesses related to chemical imbalances cause hopelessness....

Be careful about not judging when you are not wearing the shoes of those who are truly suffering...

Not having faith that God will relieve your suffering is not the same of not believing in God or Jesus as the Savior.... God doesn't no condemn anyone for underestimating how big He is...if He did, most of us wouldn't be granted salvation.

We don't really know, only God knows, His judgement is just.

What I find really incredible? One or many people alive can change the "destiny" of a dead person, even rising that person from death, but we need faith that rarely we can find in this world, today.

At this moment, every dead person "sleeps", there's no one in hell.

We can see the great mercy of God, it's all about faith, faith, faith.

This world is full of corruptions, injustices, unfairness, poverty, brutality, racism, violence,
un-Godliness, wife and children bashing, ignorance and a thousand and one other evils.
Not everybody has an equal playing field of a good life with loving family and friends.
Many who contemplate suicide feel trapped in dire circumstances that they believe that they
cannot escape from.
Many a terminally ill person suffering much pain and discomfort and at the end of their quality
of life desire suicide: 1) to put an end to their own pain, and 2) to end the suffering of their family,
and carers.

Suicide is a tragedy. A person's life cut short. But if it is the consequence of actions from others failing
to love and do right by another then is it not also a case of murder?
God knows the lives and circumstances of every single person alive on the planet, plus all who have
ever lived. God is well aware of suicides and why bad things happen.
Judgment and mercy and love belong to Jesus who will deal with all who have suffered wrongdoing
with his righteousness.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

It very well could possibly be so, lets take for example I as a mother was given a son to raise (in the ways of the Lord) and I did not protect, love, shelter and provide for him as the gift of life that he was, then yes as a mother I am held accountable for my actions against his life, I did not do what I should have done, I failed this child, I wasn't there when I should've been. I believe God holds many many factors in account to the consequences. Do I know the depth of it, no, but in my heart I believe we all have been given responsibilities to fulfill and if we choose to pass them by, then one day, we will get to see the movie screen of life, we will get to see the consequences of our actions taken and NOT taken, that will be a sad sad day to look upon. So in everything we do and everywhere we go, we need to know and make sure that no blood is on our hands.

EXAMPLE: I had a neighbor in my 20's, one day the Lord spoke to me and told me to tell him: "get your house in order". Now I didn't understand why I should do this, I remember looking out the window and seeing him happily working in his garden, seeming that nothing was wrong. So I never delivered that message to him, was it pride? was it self-doubt? truth is it doesn't matter what it was, he died 3 days later and the guilt of not telling the man the word from the Lord taught me a valuable lesson, NEVER miss an opportunity, never let a chance pass you by, who cares if I would've sounded or looked stupid, the Lord wanted him to be aware of something that in my youth and stupidity I passed by, me now in my 40's, I will not pass by again and care what others think or feel, I will care about what HE cares about, no blood on my hands and a chance to change the course of one's journey I will never ignore. I believe God puts people in our path and He has a divine plan and purpose, so to stay close to Him and listen is what we should do. We never know what small word given could mean the difference in life or death.

Judgment and mercy and love belong to Jesus who will deal with all who have suffered wrongdoing
with his righteousness.
Amen and I agree.

No, we can't tell God what to do...we can have all the faith in the world that God is going to do something but it if is not part of God's perfect will, then it won't happen.

Besides, why would we want to bring someone we love back from paradise and being in God's presence to this tainted world except for our own selfish reasons? When my husband was dying of cancer, God made this very clear. He told me when I was to change my prayer and let my husband's soul go.

The Bible speaks that we are all born with a sinful nature. Just being a child does not make one righteous before God.

Suicide is an awful thing, but nowhere in the Bible does it say that suicide automatically go to Hell. Likewise it does not say that suicide automatically go to Heaven. However, God has defined life to be sacred and someone who commits suicide, are they really cherishing the life that God has given them?

The reason there has been a great increase in teen suicides is, for one, Christians are no longer proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and loving their neighbor.

I believe that God is the God of life and death and no one actually dies without God's permission. You can't circumvent God by killing yourself or else that would indicate that God is not in control of all.
So before a person is born, God knew that they would kill themselves exactly when they do? Watch out. I think you may be giving more power to God than the average Christian.....

I once believed that as well. Then I had a battle with depression, even though I had a wonderful husband and 3 children. It came out of nowhere and I didn't even understand what it was at the beginning, but I can tell you I wanted to die because it was too painful to go on. It was a chemical imbalance and once put on meds I eventually got better. When I think back to that time I know it wasn't the real me, I was not in the right frame on mind. I think when a person commits suicide they are depressed or mentally hurt beyond understanding. But Jesus' understands.

Yes, I do believe that time does not exist for God so yes, He is aware of the end result of each person- that is kind of the definition of "Omniscient".

Having been suicidal myself, suicidal people just want the pain to end. It is not just hopelessness, hope is a completely unfathomable to them. It is not just selfish, they believe that their family and friends will be better off without them. It is a place unfathomable to people who have not been in it. I do not believe that suicidal people automatically go to Hell.
