This is from the Old Testament, but did you know that the New Testament teaches these same fundamental truths in the gospel of our salvation? And I don’t mean word for word of what this teaches, but the fundamental truths of the gospel. What determines one’s salvation, whether Old Testament or New Testament, is not only the grace of God, and genuine faith which comes from God, but how we live in conduct, whether we are living righteously in obedience to our Lord or we are living wickedly in disobedience to God. And New Testament – Jesus’ blood sacrifice to take away the sins of the world.

For we read in 1 Corinthians 10:1-22 and Hebrews 3:1-19 and Hebrews 4:1-13 that God was not pleased with the majority of those who wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. For they were those who craved evil and who were idolaters, revelers, immoral, grumblers, and those who put God to the test. So God put them to death, and they did not get to enter into the Promised Land nor into God’s eternal rest (his salvation from sin and eternal life with God). And these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things as they did. And they were written down for our instruction.

For God regards disobedience to his commands, in practice, the same as unbelief. And belief in Jesus Christ, if it is genuine biblical faith, must be accompanied by death to sin, not just once, but daily putting sin to death, by the Spirit, and walking in obedience to our Lord and his commands in our conduct, and as our practice. This is not to say that we will be perfect in everything or that we will never sin again (1 John 2:1-2), but that sin must no longer be our practice, and obedience to our Lord must now be our practice, by the grace of God, in the power of God, and by the Spirit.

So, we are blessed of God who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked, and who do not follow after the sinful desires of the flesh, but whose delight is in the teachings of Christ and of his New Testament apostles and of the Scriptures, as a whole. And if we delight in our Lord and in the teachings of the Scriptures, and in his commandments to us who believe in Jesus Christ, then we will be those who are walking in obedience to our Lord and to his commands in holy living, by the grace of God, and in the power of God. And we will be those who are no longer making sin our practice.

And if we are indeed following our Lord in surrender to his will, in obedience to his commands in daily living, by the grace of God, then we should also be those who are bearing much spiritual fruit in keeping with repentance and with walks of obedience to our Lord’s commands. There should be physical evidence, by how we live, that we are in genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, and he is truly Lord (Owner-Master) of our lives. For we should be working for God, our lives committed to his service, doing what he says, who are also sharing the truth of the gospel with the people of this world.

But if we are living wickedly, in direct defiance to our Lord and to his commands, and if sin is still what we practice, and not obedience to God, we will not inherit eternal life with God, regardless of what our lips profess. Like the old saying goes, “The proof is in the pudding,” i.e. the test to see whether or not our faith in Jesus Christ is of God, and is genuine, is in the results (the fruit). Are we living righteously, in obedience to our Lord, in following his leading and his will and purpose for our lives? Or are we still living in sin and for self without regard for our Lord and his commands?

Right! SO-glad to hear. Now you do recall the Apostle John did instruct to ''test the spirits to see whether they be of God''. Now that test it goes on is in the spirit's confession. I like how Jesus put it, we know them ''by their fruits'', not just by their spoken words. Almost all our teachers of renown will remark that false teachers will consistently stray from glorifying the risen Christ. I might add what Paul said of Satan's preacher's 'righteous' over-shot from the pulpit. (2Cor 11:15).

California voters established an independent redistricting commission in 2010 to prevent gerrymandering. Newsom’s plan would override this process temporarily, using a constitutional amendment and a special election scheduled for November 4.

Unlike Texas, where the Legislature determines congressional lines, California voters in 2010 gave that power to a bipartisan citizen commission. The commission draws a new map once each decade, after the U.S. Census, to ensure each congressional district has roughly an equal number of people. It last did so in 2021.

The Governor want to remove that power from the voters and place it under his authority - a direct move against the Democratic Process.

Newsom is proposing to temporarily override the commission and create districts more favorable to Democrats until after the 2030 Census. That requires going to the voters for their approval.

Sure looks like a direct attack on the Democratic process to make political appointment without voters consent.

A Politico poll found that nearly two-thirds of California voters prefer retaining the state’s independent redistricting commission over returning authority to the Legislature to draw congressional lines.

It is sad that action by Texas, North Carolina, Utah and other states to deny representation to their progressive citizens through chicanery and gerrymandering has forced governors like Newsome to take a step back form redistricting commissions---in order to make sure that the majority of their citizens, and progressives in other states, would have a voice.

Republican attacks on democracy have reached such a fever pitch that if principled leaders like Newsome failed to take a stand we wouldn't have a democracy by 2028.

Calling it one of the largest child-recovery operations in U.S. history, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that 122 children were rescued from child predators and abusers in a U.S. Marshals-led statewide operation billed “Operation Home for the Holidays.”

“We're excited to announce this rescue effort [of] 122 kids that were reported missing. They're now back in our custody,” Uthmeier said during a press conference Monday. “Many have been through the unthinkable. They've been trafficked. They've been exploited. They've been abused. They need our help now more than ever.”

Authorities said the rescued children range in age from 2 to 17. Six adults have also been arrested in connection with the operation so far and more are expected. The adults are facing charges ranging from lewd and lascivious behavior to multiple sexual batteries.

Fifty-seven children were rescued in Tampa, 29 in Fort Myers, 22 in Jacksonville, 14 in Orlando, and 13 others were recovered outside the state of Florida. Two of the 13 children were rescued from Mexico and Guatemala.

Florida officials said Operation Home for the Holidays surpassed the scale and success of Operation Dragon Eye, conducted earlier this year.

I have to give you credit for thinking in the right direction.

You could if you can convert oscillating Brownian motion into electricity (link below) via huge numbers of nanoscale generator units and somehow able to consolidate all those tiny voltages and current.

This approach looks VERY expensive though. The concept nanoscale units approaches that of computer CPU or GPU microprocessor chips in complexity. You only have few such microprocessor chips in a computer but to power the computer itself, you'll need a hundred thousand of such "energy chips"!! Other concepts are similar in theory and similarly expensive! Even if you can reduce price to $1 per chip (which is unlikely), you still have to pay $100,000 for a power unit that can power a laptop computer!!

My concept is totally different. It directly exploits macroscopic fluid dynamics and can have the power density of a turbocharged car engine. It's far less sophisticated in tech, many orders of magnitude cheaper, and all the tech needed to build my concept engine is already available in the early19th century. You could in fact build it in your garage if you have a small but good quality CNC.

The "Board of peace" is vague and fluffy language so far. We don't know what it will do.
It COULD be a good strategy to keep it that way for now.
But given Netanyahu is a bit like Trump - a hard right guy avoiding jail by staying in power - he REALLY wants to keep the hard right in his coalition happy! Otherwise, jail! So when he says he does not support Palestinian statehood - the world better take notice.

What's Trump's plans for that? For Israel in the West Bank?

Are they going to spank Israel's Militant Zionists when they inevitably break this agreement because they want to steal all Palestinian land?
Are they going to expel over half a MILLION illegal Zionist settlers in the West Bank? Are they going to give territorial sovereignty to the West Bank as well as Gaza?

I'm listening to a history of this whole conflict right now, and let me let you in on a little secret. There's only one reason that Gaza was handed over to the Palestinians. Israel ran out of Jews! That's it.

Israel decided to continue their slow 'killing me softly' strategy of illegal settler colonisation in the West Bank where they could concentrate their population resources. But they ran out of foreign Jews willing to uproot from their homelands and move on mass into another country to colonise it!

If expelling over 500,000 illegal colonisers from the West Bank is not part of the Palestinian solution - there is no Palestinian solution.

They also need to build an internationally protected DMZ super-highway and fast rail between Gaza and the West Bank so that Palestine can have a functional state.
