  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I tied getting AI to play a song I wrote ... which one is best?

I like them both. Surprisingly, probably the Hip hop version of the first one. Vocals were so clean is what made the difference. I think you are quite talented.
Yes, the hip hop version made words like "advocate" much easier to comprehend. Thanks for the compliment, I have always written CHristian poems, but I have always wanated to put them to music, AI is now allowing me to do that. AI is not perfect, but is better than no music at all.

What do you consider a Biblical Church?

For those who are promoting their church as the only true church, please understand I was not talking about denominations but what YOU personally need to see in a church to make it acceptable.
Yes, that is how I understood your post - to refer to individual, local churches.

What do you consider a Biblical Church?

The Church had existed for a full generation before the first Gospel was written.
My post, to which you were replying, was about individual local churches, like the church at Ephesus or the church at Antioch. I don't know of a single such church that existed before the New Testament was completed and still exists today.

Evolution conflict and division

To clarify, I was referring to an actual theory from the 60's regarding how whales came to be.
No. There was a theory that whales evolved from mesonychids, a particular group of carnivorous hoofed mammals, not canids. Whales are ungulates, but not from that particular group of ungulates.

I believe that ALL who ever lived will be in God’s Kingdom

I am referencing God before the Word was sent forth … and where you are, if you be “in Christ” …

My statement/question is not about who ascends or who descends, it is about the one who is in the midst … to the left or right of the cross lies a thief … this leads to a casting down of the truth in us, and it brings about a process in our soul that leads us into a wilderness, wherein is a bloodless altar … like wine that moves itself in the cup … the serpent lies in the sea … this in the light of the sons (no gender implied) that we are … the narrative that begins, and is, the Word sent forth, like bread cast upon the waters …

The Word (Christ) was crucified from the foundation of the world …

God is not justification, God’s justification is himself; in the form of a seed/son which was the name Jesus declared in a relational/literal way … (in picture form referencing the garden scenario) an because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself … which has more to do with us then we are willing to forsake to enter into …

The Word/words, is/are, infinite (to the fullest extent of what that word means); it is the chosen path; it is what calls light out of darkness … as it is the process of a seed … all in the light of picking up a cross …
Now you are changing the words. You imply that God needs to justify Himself.

How do you define justice? To render that which is due. God is due all power, honor and glory. To suggest otherwise is to be in league with demons Since God is due all, He is justice itself. We do not ask how does God justify Himself. To say that He needs to do so implies that He is then not God, and there is this vague concept of justice which is above God. That is false, and the error of the pagans with their polytheism each of their gods needed to justify himself

Justification is a different word though it sounds similar. Justification is a process whereby unjust are made just. This is what God does for us not we Him

Mary immaculate knew this and is why she proclaimed her Magnificat. My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
She who knew no sin, does not elevate herself above God. She knew as a creature, even with no sin, needed a savior. She has perfect humility

How does the idea that most of Gods creation he will have to burn forever bring glory to God?

same thing when Jesus died he died for all and joined himself to humanity and through his death has bought all of humanity for himself,
If this is true; then how is anyone condemned?

The fascinating reformed theology paradox of Hebrew 6:4-6

We are incapable of understanding anything spiritual as Paul states in 1 Cor 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned. However, once they have been enlightened by the Spirit they can choose to accept or rehect God. And some do as Hebrews 6:4-6 explains, 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen[c] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Yes, even repentance has to be powered by the spirit and it will be if we do not resist Him.
I haven't said otherwise. What I'm saying is that Natural Man in his Lost Condition can still choose to repent, which does take place by the incoming Word of God. That is, God initiates any good action that Man, even in his Lost State, can respond to.

So when you say that the Natural Man cannot receive the things of God, what Paul is really talking about is Man who persists in his Carnality, refusing to respond to God's Word. He cannot accomplish good things while at the same time actively resisting God's Spirit.

A lot of what men do may be in accordance with God's Spirit. They may actually be unconsciously responding to God's Word through their conscience. So the unborn again Man may in fact respond to God's Word and obey Him. He just may not receive the full expression of sonship from God if they refuse that particular Word.

They may operate to do charitable works, or obey God in some direction, even as the Prophet Balaam obeyed God half-heartedly. But they cannot become a "Good Prophet" unless they completely commit in their lives to God's Word.

We shouldn't confuse what Paul is saying about the "Natural Man." He is not saying that he cannot repent of his Carnality. He is saying that remaining steadfast in his Carnality he is utterly unable to comprehend the things of God. And he certainly isn't able to do anything good if he completely resists God's goodness.

Illinois Gov. Pritzker Says Chicago Is Safe As 35 Shot, 5 Dead Labor Day Weekend

What a great opportunity for a civil lockdown. We haven't had a good lockdown since the height of COVID. A little martial law never hurt anybody.
Thats true. Let's do it!

Go into the world and preach the Gospel

Shalom

This and next weekend, evangelistic meetings will be held again here in Salzburg, Austria.

In addition, the brothers and sisters here regularly hold book tables and distribute evangelistic literature.

We ask for your support in prayer in Jesus' name.
And may God continue to draw the people we have already reached to Himself in Jesus' name. Amen (John 6:44; 1 Corinthians 3:6).

Thank you for your prayers and God's blessing in Jesus' name!

Soli Deo Gloria

How is "glory" different from "ego"?

I can't help but feel immensely disappointed.
Immensely disappointed by.....

A Creator possessing the knowledge of good and evil; knowing the fall was inevitable, but decided to create a cosmos anyways. So by His power, He interjects His will to create life upon a matrix that was destine for the destruction corruption would bring. He knew the only thing that would save this cosmos was if He stepped into it and took upon Himself the judgement deserved; of that which could not stand in the presence of His glory; because the presence of the entity that He is would destroy it. God couldn't stop that from happening because that's just the nature of who He is. A consuming fire. You throw paper in there; it burns up. You throw gold in, it refines and ultimately becomes more valuable.

So He takes on the sin of a bunch of people who hated Him to begin with! Confronts His own wrath on their behalf. Sends His Spirit to resurrect their dead.... arses... from the pit of their own hatred and debase hedonistic destruction caused by the worship of themselves!

And you think God is the one with the ego problem?

Mass Shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church/School in Minneapolis

California is a good example of how well stronger gun laws work.

View attachment 369405

In the 1990s, California had the third highest gun homicide rate – over 50% above the national average – and its gun death rate was substantially higher than the rest of the country. As the state added more gun safety protections, more lives were saved and the trendlines reversed. From 1993 to 2017, California’s firearm mortality rate declined by 55 percent—almost four times the decrease in the rest of the nation. Many of California’s most important firearm laws went into effect in the early 1990s. As California continued to enact strong firearm laws, its firearm death rate continued to decline.”

It's not just California:

View attachment 369406
And yet with all thise gun laws people are still dying from them. Whats rhe acceptable rate of death from guns? Is it California's rate? What's the unacceptable rate? Is it the national.average? Are we talking strictly gun deaths or are we talking gun homicides?

If you are serious about ending this then Californias actions are not good enough. You have to ban guns. Thats the only way. Otherwise you have to accept that the killing will go on and rhat you have an acceptable rate in order to hold onto the right to keep and bear arms.

Prior Auth Comes to Medicare

Under the model, known as the Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction (WISeR) Model, "CMS will partner with companies specializing in enhanced technologies to test ways to provide an improved and expedited prior authorization process" under traditional Medicare, the agency said Friday in a press releaseopens in a new tab or window, adding that the model will help "patients and providers avoid unnecessary or inappropriate care and [will safeguard] federal taxpayer dollars."
The WISeR Model will test new technologies including artificial intelligence to see whether they can expedite the prior authorization processes for certain items and services "that have been identified as particularly vulnerable to fraud, waste, and abuse, or inappropriate use," the press release noted. "These items and services include, but are not limited to, skin and tissue substitutesopens in a new tab or window, electrical nerve stimulator implants, and knee arthroscopy for knee osteoarthritis."
Yep they will save in fraud I think while at the same time deny needed treatments. AI is now the gatekeeper to USA elder care.

Well as someone who loathes the act of singing, if it doesn't do anything for Him, it also doesn't do anything for me. That just makes it feel even more vain.
I can empathize with you but consider that he does inhabit the praises of his people. Ps 22:3. There also is a sacrifice of praise that can help us change and stay focused.
