Prayer for Gods favor in Supreme Court against14th Amendment abuse

Good day I'm asking for prayer for the ACLJ to have Gods favor in judgement at the supreme court as they petition to stop the left’s plot to ban President Trump from office and abuse the 14th Amendment and that they receive all the financing that is necessary to accomplish this. Thank you for all of your prayer.

Does God support war now?

Francis, the current pope, said:
To say “yes” to the Prince of Peace, then, means saying “no” to war, to every war and to do so with courage, to the very mindset of war, an aimless voyage, a defeat without victors, an inexcusable folly. This is what war is: an aimless voyage, a defeat without victors, an inexcusable folly. To say “no” to war means saying “no” to weaponry. The human heart is weak and impulsive; if we find instruments of death in our hands, sooner or later we will use them. And how can we even speak of peace, when arms production, sales and trade are on the rise? Today, as at the time of Herod, the evil that opposes God’s light hatches its plots in the shadows of hypocrisy and concealment. How much violence and killing takes place amid deafening silence, unbeknownst to many! People, who desire not weapons but bread, who struggle to make ends meet and desire only peace, have no idea how many public funds are being spent on arms. Yet that is something they ought to know! It should be talked about and written about, so as to bring to light the interests and the profits that move the puppet-strings of war.
So, does his statement reflect truthfully how God has revealed his view of war today?

Tradition versus Relationship

“Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, ‘Woman, you are freed from your disability.’ And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.
“But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, ‘There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.’ Then the Lord answered him, ‘You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?’ As he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame, and all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.” (Luke 13:10-17 ESV)

There are many such people as these who criticized Jesus who live among us today. They are those who are locked into tradition and culture to the point to where they are not capable of seeing when God is working in people’s lives. They are so locked into their traditional practices that they will openly criticize those who have escaped those non-biblical traditions to truly worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. And they will even accuse you of being unfaithful to the Lord because you do not adhere to their religious practices which are not in accord with the teachings of the Scriptures.

And it won’t matter to them if people are being healed, and if people are hearing the truth of the gospel and if they are trusting in the Lord for their salvation. It won’t matter to them that the gospel is going out to people in many nations across the globe and that the body of Christ is being encouraged and exhorted by the truths of the Scriptures to walk in righteousness and in holy living in obedience to the Lord. What matters to them only is that you are following their traditions, and if you are not, you are regarded as someone who is not following the Lord Jesus.

This is how Jesus got treated, and in some cultures this is how we will get treated, too, if we break with tradition to truly follow the Lord Jesus with our lives in truth and in righteousness and in obedience to his commands.

But let me preface this all with this: The church is the ekklēsía, the people of God who are called out from the world and to God. We are God’s holy people who are to be different from the world because we are being made to be like Jesus in character, word, and deed. We who have been crucified and buried with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness, we are the church, the body of Christ. And there is only one church, but we gather in different locations throughout the world.

But human tradition and culture have largely made “the church” into a building, an institution of human origin, a social club, a civic center, a church denomination, a corporation under the state, and a business of human making being marketed to the ungodly in order to draw in large crowds of people from the world and to incorporate them into their gatherings. And human tradition has them gathering mostly on Sunday mornings for a song service and to hear a preacher preach until the next week, then repeat. Some of them also do have small group gatherings throughout the week.

But these gatherings are not the biblical church, the body of Christ, because they are a conglomeration of the people of the world, the ungodly, the rebellious, the habitual sinners, the government, big business and worldliness and godlessness all combined together. And most are not following the biblical pattern for the purpose for why we gather together as the body of Christ, and many have even eliminated much of what the Scriptures teach is the purpose of our gatherings, because they are trying to attract the people of the world to their gatherings.

Now the Scriptures clearly teach that we are to come out from among such gatherings as these which are worldly minded and worldly focused and which are not doing what the body of Christ is supposed to be doing in their gatherings. For we are not to turn our gatherings into a marketplace to be marketed to the ungodly. And we are not to be unequally yoked (united) together with unbelievers (with the ungodly), and we are not to be in fellowship with them. But we are to come out from among them and to be separate so that we don’t take part in their sins and in their punishment.

[Matthew 21:12-13; John 2:13-17; Acts 5:27-32; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 13:5-8; Revelation 18:1-5]

But if you separate yourself from the worldly market-driven “church,” then you are regarded as out of fellowship with God and as the ungodly, even if what you are doing is what the Scriptures teach that we are all to be doing. For the church is made up of all of us of genuine faith in Jesus Christ and we all have a job, an assignment of God, and we have all been given spiritual gifts, and we are to function in those assigned areas of ministry as God assigns us, utilizing the spiritual gifts we have been given to minister to one another and to encourage one another in our walks of obedience to Christ.

And we are to be those who are taking the truth of the gospel to the people we know and to worldly professing Christians and to the people of this world. And we are to be daily exhorting one another as Christians so that none of us are hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. And we are to be speaking the truth in love to one another so that we are not led astray by men in their deceitful scheming. And we are not to be telling one another that we don’t want them or need them or that they should go someplace else just because they don’t fit with human marketing plans. But we are to be loving one another.

[Matt 5:13-16; Matt 28:18-20; Jn 4:31-38; Jn 13:13-17; Jn 14:12; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:14-18; Acts 26:18; Rom 10:14-15; Rom 12:1-8; Rom 15:14; 1 Co 12:1-31; 1 Co 14:1-5; Eph 4:1-16; Eph 5:17-27; Php 2:1-8; Col 3:16; Heb 3:13; Heb 10:23-25; 1 Pet 2:9,21; 1 Jn 2:6]

But if you are someone who is doing all that, who is following what the Scriptures teach, and you are taking the gospel message to the ends of the earth, and you are daily exhorting and encouraging your brothers and sisters in Christ in holy living and in walks of obedience and surrender to our Lord, but you have obeyed the Lord and you have come out of these institutions of man which are in fellowship with the world and with the government and with the ungodly, then you are regarded as a backslider of some sort because you do not attend their Sunday gatherings.

And please see that this is the same as what the religious hypocrites of Jesus’ day did to him when he healed people on the Sabbath. He was doing the good that he ought to do but they were more concerned that he not do it on their Sabbath day, mainly because they did not really comprehend the purpose of the Sabbath, which was for the good of the people, not to do them harm. For man was not made for the Sabbath but the Sabbath for man, Jesus said, and he was Lord of the Sabbath. And now Jesus is our Sabbath rest and we worship him in spirit and in truth anywhere on any day of the week at any time of the day or night, for his Spirit lives within us.

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

‘Satan Club’ approved at Olathe Kansas Northwest High School

Despite a petition against it, a “Satan Club” has been approved by the Olathe School District.

An Olathe Public Schools spokesperson stated, “the club application met the criteria to establish a student-initiated club and is now recognized as a student-initiated club at Olathe Northwest High School.”

[The law requires that] if the school allows one club, it allows all — providing the application process is complete and the group meets the guidelines for recognition.

New from Hawaii

Aloha from Hawaii. Just joined. I am Monastic1952. The 1952 is my birth year. I notice that even Non-Christians are welcome here. This is quite receptive because I have seen many forums which do not tolerate those differences.
By the way, besides myself--are there any others from Hawaii? Hopefully they can make themselves known.

Ditching the secret police as a missionary

An idea just came to me that will help missionaries in countries closed to the gospel to keep safe from government monitoring of internet access- it is below, you might want to send this out to missionaries that you know.
I have a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in the Information Technology field and just recently a good idea came to me- this will help Christians in closed countries where there is persecution to them and also government monitoring and censorship of internet access. The idea is here: most websites out there now offer encrypted communication to the website. You can access this in the URL text bar up at the top of the web browser screen. a normal website will have a web address starting with http:// . However if you change this to https:// this will tell it to encrypt all communication with the website to a degree that it is unbreakable. This will help if the government of the country you are in is monitoring your internet activity. They will still be able to see the name of the website you are looking at but not what specifically you are accessing, it is highly encrypted.
Another idea- the country Iran and probably other countries hostile to the gospel censor the internet access in the country and hundreds if not thousands of websites outside the country are banned. There are several ways to get around this but it is not foolproof. Someone in such a country could use something called a proxy server or also a VPN (Virtual Private Network). A proxy server will allow you to bypass the government restrictions. It works by receiving web requests from you in the hostile nation and then the proxy goes on the internet and gets the website content that you want and sends it back to you. Since your computer is accessing the proxy and not the banned website directly you can avoid the government restrictions. You can also use an encrypted proxy server and that will help even more. However I have heard that the government in Iran is pretty crafty and they are on to this trick, they will ban access to the proxy and then the proxy will have to switch IP addresses until the government also finds that one and bans it too, it is a chess match with the government. Another thing that is better is using a VPN (virtual private network). A VPN establishes a totally encrypted link with an external web server and it can also fool any eavesdropper into thinking you are accessing a different server that is legal and inside the country so it is even safer than a proxy. However I have heard that the government in Iran is also on to this and they are trying to stop VPNs but it may still work from a random internet cafe inside the country.
Another idea came to me that might potentially help the underground church and missionaries- encrypted email. As long as your email service is web-based and accessed through a web browser (such as GMail) you can use the https:// trick to encrypt the email so it is unbreakable to the authorities in a closed country. The only problem is this is a bit scary to use for underground communications, if someone using the encrypted email got caught by the police and the police confiscated their computer they could potentially recover the emails. This is probably not a good idea but I thought I would get it out there anyway.
Another thing that may help the underground church- it is called stenography. Stenography is a technology that lets you hide a secret message inside of another file, such as a picture. Someone could send their friends what appears to be pictures from their vacation and they look completely normal from the outside but they actually contain secret instructions. Using stenography could potentially help them coordinate secret activities hidden from a hostile government. Files with secret instructions are password protected and encrypted, my only concern about this is that the authorities might potentially get the password out of you (under duress) and it would blow your cover and they could view the secret instructions.
The government authorities in Iran are trying their best to keep the gospel out of the country and many christian websites are banned, however a proxy or VPN could help people get around these restrictions and would open the door for the gospel into the country! People could go to an internet cafe and download the bible!

Recruited into Space Force

I keep having dreams of getting recruited by the space force for couple of years now. But not the typical "space force" we know off. The organization in my dream is part of a much larger organization with headquarters far beyond our solar system.

They possessed technologies that enabled travel between starts in just a very short period of time. They refer to this technology as "hyper-velocity" travel. They didn't call it the "warp" or "faster-than-light" (FTL) tech at least in English. Perhaps to distance it from science fiction literature or obfuscation or for simplicity.

It didn't seemed like the distant future in my dreams but already happening now and may have happened as early as the Cold War era. In one version of this dreams, I was flown into quarantine in another planet and the furniture in the laboratory I was kept in isolation was 60's era. At a later time, a deadly pathogen formed in my blood. While it didn't affect me, it had incalculable potential to cause extinction of all life and they decided to study it and ofc, with me in it.

What really bothered me if such a huge secret is existing right now, these guys could easily fake the Lord's 2nd coming and achieve uncontested global domination if they want to, if they needed to. They would have the technology and the resources to pull off such deception.

Reconciling Flat Earthers with Spherical Earthers.

This is a very fiercely defended topic regardless of which side you are on. The point of the thread is not to try to prove who is right/wrong. I am well aware that these discussions often devolve into exactly that, a back and forth on who is right and who is wrong, however; please respond to the following two questions before you begin said back and forth.

1. Should individual churches take an official position on the topic of flat vs. spherical Earth? What about the Church as a whole? Why or why not?

2. How would you handle a situation in which this topic began to become divisive and create discord within your local church? Assume you are an elder or leader.

12 QUESTIONS

Happy New year everyone. Growth in grace is an ongoing thing: 2 Peter 3:18.

Have you grown in grace this past year? It's time to examine your life: 2 Corinthians 13:5.

Here are 12 questions to ask ourselves.- Be honest with yourself and God

1. DO YOU LOVE GOD'S WORD MORE?

Psalm 119:97 – ‘O how love thy law! It is my meditation all the day.’

Do you have a passion for the word of God? I am not asking if you read it more. Has it become like honey to you? Every time you read it, does God speak directly to you? Can you say the same words above? I mean when you are slogging through Leviticus or the first ten chapters of 1 Chronicles, can you say Oh how I love to read the bible

2. DO YOU LOVE SPENDING TIME IN PRAYER?

Now here is a biggie! I struggle here, I must admit. One minute spent praying is worth a hundred doing anything else. Prayer is the Christian's vital breath; it is his lifeblood. We just talk to our heavenly Father. We talk to the ones we love.. Amen! If we love God, then we will spend more and more time with Him. How much time do we spend communing with God? The average daily time is 7-10 minutes for the average Christian, I ask myself, why is that?. Would you give your wife ten minutes per day?

  1. ARE YOU MORE INVOLVED IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE?

If you hadn't noticed, the Christian is a warrior. He/she is engaged in a desperate battle. In Ephesians 6, we are told to arm ourselves with spiritual weapons that will overcome the devil, etc. We need to be in hand-to-hand combat. The Roman soldiers whom Paul saw were always ready to fight. They obeyed their Commanding Officer and would go anywhere to fight for his cause. There is no let-up brothers and sisters; let's be engaged in warfare. Let's say like Paul at the end of his life.. I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT!!!

  1. DO YOU LOVE GOD AND YOUR FELLOW BELIEVERS MORE AND MORE?

Jesus said the two greatest commandments were to love God and love your neighbour. Is God our first love or just one of many? This was the problem with the children of Israel. They loved God, but He was just one of many loves. He wants and demands your undiluted love. Do we also have pure love for our brethren, whoever they are? I am in China and can't understand much of what people say and likewise they also of me; but we love each other. There is a powerful and pure love between us. Do you show it to your fellow believers, not just in words but in actions?

5. DO YOU LOVE TO HEAR GOD'S VOICE?

Before Adam and Eve fell, they loved to hear God's voice. It is so sad to hear God's words in the garden.. God calls to them when they are hiding. This year when God speaks, let us not say like Adam:. "I am afraid because of some sin," but like Samuel, who said: "Speak Lord for thy servant hears." When God speaks to us, may we have open ears and eager hearts. Jesus says “My sheep hear My voice and they love to hear it..” HOW SWEET IS THE VOICE OF GOD TO THE BELIEVER.? AMEN. HOW SWEET IS IT TO YOU MY FRIEND?

6. DO YOU SHARE THE GOSPEL MORE?

The Great Commission is to share the gospel with people in our locality. Some of us, like me, have been called to China. You may not be called to some far country. You may still live in the same neighbourhood that you were born in, but the Commission remains the same. Go out and share the gospel! We are not to stay in our comfortable churches and expect people to come to us. Remember. what we do is a CO-MISSION, between you and God. It is God's power filling weak vessels like us. Have you spoken to anyone about the gospel this year? Have you invited anyone to church this year?

7. DO YOU LOVE THE WORLD LESS?

1 John 2:15 –“ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Do we obey this command? To obey this command, we truly need to be loving Jesus more. In the words of the chorus:

TURN YOUR EYES OPEN JESUS

LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDERFUL FACE

AND THE THINGS OF THE WORLD

WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM

IN THE LIGHT OF HUS GLORY AND GRACE.

www.casgv.org/Hymnary/Hymnary-H509.pps

Do we love the world less or more than we did last year?

What do you spend your time doing?

Do you spend more time on worldly or heavenly things?

  1. ARE YOU IN FULL CONTROL OF YOUR WORDS?

The tongue is called an unruly evil in James 3. Are you more in control of your tongue than you were last year? One of the evidences of a growing Christian is that you are in control of your tongue. Are your words sweeter than last year? We ask what is the defining quality of a Christian? In my estimation, it is the ability through the Holy Spirit to control his/her tongue

9. ARE YOU MORE OBEDIENT TO GOD?

Jesus says ”If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” Obedience to God is one of the greatest characteristics of the Christian. As we said earlier, Paul talks about the Roman soldier. These soldiers obeyed their Commanding Officer. Are you obeying your Commander? - God himself?. Obedience to the commands and call of God is essential to progress in the Christian life. Has God called you to do something this year and you are still refusing?. It is time to obey that call, don't make excuses like Jonah and Moses did, although they obeyed, it took God to virtually twist their arm to get them to obey.

10. IS THERE A GREATER EXCELLENCE IN ALL YOU DO?

“你所做的一切是否有更高的卓越?”

Ephesians 6:5-9 and Colossians 3:17 give us a blueprint for living: We are to do all for the glory of God. Whether it is washing up or preaching, we are to do everything for His glory. If we are washing, we should wash up as if Jesus was going to drink out of that cup or glass. Is our work done in an a more excellent way than it was last year?

11. DO YOU WEEP FOR SOULS MORE AND IN REPENTANCE?

I love Jeremiah; he wept so much. But he is not the only one who weeps in scripture. Our Saviour weeps at the grave of Lazarus. We need to cry over our sin... we need to be in sorrow for our sin. We need to have compassion like Jesus had for a world that is dying.. He wept over Jerusalem. Look at Paul in Romans 9:1-3, and his pain for his own people, Israel. Do you have the same pain for your community and country? When was the last time you cried in repentance? When was the last time you cried to God in prayer for your family, community and country? This year has been terrible, Covid has devasted many countries and communities, do we weep for them?

12. DO YOU HAVE A DEEPER WONDER ABOUT YOUR SALVATION?

It has been 45 years since I first trusted Christ. It is incredible to me that God loves me and that He sent His Son to die for someone like me. Has the wonder of your salvation grown in the last year? Ever wonder why God should pour his love, mercy and grace upon you? I do.

David prayed that he wouldn't lose the joy of his salvation. I hope you still have the wonder of a little child when it comes to your salvation. I hope it is something that brings you joyful amazement, joyful wonder, and makes you raise your voice in praise to your Saviour.

There are other questions you can ask yourself, but these are a good way to start.

When we get to the end of 2024, may we be able to answer all the questions, by saying "YES I have."

God bless you,

Keith

Omniscient

It's omniscience something that is essential to God's nature.. or is it specific to God the Father?

Matthew 24:36 KJVBut of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Can God the Son not be omniscient? Or, can he choose to not be omniscient? Was he pretending?
Can God, whichever person of God, choose to not be omniscient?

When God gives man free-will, he is in a sense withholding his control over what happens to allow humans to have some measure of control...
Could he also withhold his omniscience at that point too?

Can God allow himself be surprised or disappointed...? That would imply that he didn't know what would happen, and therefore had withdrawn his omniscience as well as his control (power) in order to allow man to have some control over his destiny/salvation?

Deeper Trust

Deeper Trust

One of the hardest lessons to be learned in the Spiritual life is the letting go of our idols that we create that we think are God. So, as we age, and hopefully mature, these idols are smashed and another one arises, though hopefully closer to the heart of who and what God is. I believe that is a never-ending process.

When the God of our understanding fails us, it is then that a crisis of sorts happens and we either have to deepen our faith through prayer and yes study, or we back away. All relationships go through this crisis. It leads, hopefully, to a revaluation and a maturing of the relationship.

One trail that must be gone through is the experience of God’s absence, or withdrawal. This must happen, for if it does not, the soul becomes stuck in a relationship mostly with ‘self’, often the harsher aspects. We all understand anger, rejection, and unforgiveness. So, we place this human way of responding to hurt, betrayal, and emotional pain by withdrawing and protecting ourselves. This is projected onto our understanding of God.

This is a common question that is often asked of me: “Where is God? I no longer feel the joy or presence of the Lord”. Well, our emotional state does not in any way change God’s relationship with all of His children. When we are in the desert, a place that is dry, and where prayer is a struggle, it is at that time that we have to go deeper and make a hard, but free choice, to love God for Himself, and not for what we can get out of Him. It is in that withdrawal that our idols one by one turn to sand and we draw closer to the Infinite light of God’s love.

Jesus came as a child, a humble revelation of God. He entered into our experience, all of them, yet never lost trust in the Father’s love. His reason for coming was to show us the Father. To see Jesus is to see the Father.

Any Christian spirituality that does not line up with the “Parable of the Prodigal Son” is off the mark. Hence the need for the desert experience to draw us deeper into trust that is beyond our feelings and emotions. It is a hard lesson to learn, and I believe for most it is a lifetime journey.

We are the cross we must carry. Yet, when allowing the healing love of Christ Jesus to become a reality, it does become lighter because we learn to not always trust our emotions and feelings, as important as they are.

So pray with hope, even when it is a struggle. Continue in prayer when feeling overwhelmed with distraction. Pray when in the grip of one’s weakness. Pray when joyful and full of trust. No matter how we feel, or what deep emotions we are feeling, God is with us, loving us, leading us all into deeper trust. -Br-MD

Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent, 5 to 6 minutes. Add the beans, corn, chiles, spices, and water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer, uncovered, for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

This Little Light Of Mine, I'm Gonna Let It Shine

“This Little Light Of Mine, I’m Gonna Let It Shine”
Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Last Sunday morning at our church, the kids group sang a fun rendition of “This Little Light Of Mine”. As they were singing, it was so cool to see them singing this song they had practiced and how much fun they were having doing it. We all have some laughs at what some of the kids were doing. When kids are on stage, there can be some funny moments and very precious moments as well.

As I kept thinking about that song, it made me think of how much I’ve sang that song from when I was a little kid up to even now. I can’t count the number of times I’ve sang that song and enjoyed it. But when I think more about the words, I wonder, “How much have I really let my little light shine for God?” All these years I’ve sang it with others and watched kids sing it, how often are we REALLY excited to share that light with others?

In Matthew, we read that we have the Light of God and the world needs to see what we have to share and offer. We wouldn’t light a candle or turn on a lamp and then cover it. That would completely defeat the purpose. We are meant to carry the Light of God and shine for all to see.

As we all celebrate the Christmas season and look forward to a New Year very soon, let us consider how we can live this out, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” As Matthew states, we are the light of the world. God wants us to shine!

Next time you hear a child or a group of kids or even adults sing this song, remember how God has called us to REALLY let our light shine!

I am the Light of the World

One of the most famous Bible quotes is the statement of Jesus, “I am the Light of the world!” What is not so often mentioned is that Jesus also told us we are the Light of the world. “You are the light of the world....” (Matthew 5:14 ,NIV)

This is, of course, only true when we are devoted to representing God, to doing God’s Will, and not when we are focused on getting as much worldly pleasure as possible while we are here. Yet when I pray for Divine Guidance, and ask for God’s Light to shine through me, I am the Light of the world!

I hardly ever hear Christians say this about themselves, even though saying that you are the Light of the world would be, as I understand it, fully in harmony with representing God, with following Jesus. And I am just wondering about the members of this part of the Christian Forum:

Do you see yourself and talk about yourself as the Light of the world?

More Wars

Right before my very eyes.

Matthew 24:6-8
King James Version
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
