Hello folks. Remember that old adage, where humans have explored more of outer space compared to the oceans? There are volcanoes that exist under the ocean, known as hydrothermal vents, only discovered around 50 years ago. Apparently, scientists are trying to work out if there is life on other objects in space, and astrobiologists theorize that there could be life near underwater volcanoes on Europa (an icy moon of Jupiter). That sounds pretty cool, isn't it? @Astrophile , what are your thoughts on the possibility of life on Europa?

Evangelicals make up a far smaller share of the United States population than expected due to a misunderstanding of the term, a new research report states, finding that the lack of a uniform biblical worldview among Evangelicals has negative implications.

Orthodox look very stupid defending church beliefs since if you need the church to be saved how can who is in a country where he is far from priests be saved or if one is close to priest but dies before he can reach priest. Some may try to say such people in other countries will not go to heaven but not to hell either but such is deceptive as all need jesus but how about those close to church does church teach need to be catechumen to be saved and if so what does it take to be catechumen but if one does not where does church explain one does not need to be catechumen to be saved because it may not be possible.

But actually the gospel is required for everyone that is why the great commision says to preach the gospel to every creature he who does not believe will be damned so that atleast those who heard and did not believe will be damned

Etc. not that there is anything bad in celebrating them, BUT…. when these are done in the “flesh” and not with the heart, and because these are “things that you just have to do” then, God wants NONE OF THESE! Many people that adhere to “religion” go through “rites and traditions” just because they are used to “doing them” This in no way pleases Adonai, HOWEVER…when we do things with a pure heart, and with a spirit of “worship and praise” then…Adonai welcomes it. The LORD says through the prophet;

Come now, let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool… IF…ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” It is all CONDITIONAL!

We have the same choice, IF we choose to love and follow the LORD, by accepting HIM as LORD and Savior, then follow and do his commandments, following in his footsteps, THEN… we will reap the rewards, first is eternal life in Heaven, second will be spiritual blessings and perhaps even physical blessings while we are on earth, and even more, in Heaven. Again, the choice is ours to take.

This tells the story of the woman of Samaria, who comes to the well to draw water and receives an even better blessing. She gets her water and even more, the “Living Water” She meets her “Messiah”. Interestingly, she is the first person who Yeshua reveals himself as Messiah, without riddles, just in plain words;

The woman said; “I know that the Messiah is coming, and when he comes, he will teach us all things” (John 4:25. Yeshua responds by saying; “I AM the one who speaks to you” In Aramaic it’s “Enah-na damalel na amehee” as this was the common language of the street then. Messiah Yeshua came for the first time to teach the Torah, heal the sick, raise the dead, and pay our sin debt with his own blood. He came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world, to receive punishment and suffering on our behalf. He came as Yeshua Ben Yosef, the suffering servant. Yet he will return as the Lion of Judah, as Messiah Yeshua Ben David, to set up his kingdom, establish Shalom, and reign with perfect justice. we imagine Yeshua as all merciful and full of love, yet He is also the God of vengeance who will punish evildoers, and put an end to Satan and all who follow him by casting all evildoers into the Lake of Fire. Many don't want to hear that part, only the "God is Love" part, yet He is both.

No doubt she had a life-changing experience, she went to tell the others about Yeshua. Isn’t that what we are supposed to do? Receive Yeshua as LORD and Savior, then, tell the world, go and teach others to respond to the calling of Adonai in their lives. Is HE part of YOUR LIFE?

Some years ago I joined a celebrate recovery group in a local church.
I sometimes attended the church meetings.

I had my own church to attend.

I'm still friends with the Church pastor, (on facebook) although I don't know her that very well.
I was surprised to see her FB update where she was talking about a game her and her grandchildren
play where they add random products to people's shopping trolleys in supermarkets. The object of this, is to watch random people pick up groceries they didn't select, only to put them through the checkout scanner.
They were not doing it as much now, due to the economic crisis(I am not in America)
but were now choosing to tie the plastic fruit/vegetable bags to other shoppers trolley carts
and watch the plastic bags being torn along.

This woman and her pastor husband hand out free food and vegetables to the community which is a wonderful
testimony but I cannot fathom why they want to play jokes on unexpecting random supermarket shoppers.

It sounds quite childish but I am in shock that a woman in her 60's would be encouraging her
grandchildren to play such anti-social games.

Should we fear YHWH like the Muslims do, who do not know His Name, and trample it underfoot at any opportunity they get?

Or should we fear YHWH like the Jews do, who keep His Name in a box, and never read the iconographic meaning?

Hello everyone!

I wanted to ask people's thoughts on this job related issue. Basically I am an IT guy for a company that has 7 offices across the state that I live in. This company has offices around the entire US and has an HQ in another state, but I only support the employees at offices in my state. Awhile ago, my manager, the regional IT manager was fired for being incompetent and never showing up for work. When that happened, I was given a "dry promotion". I was given all the responsibilities and duties of the IT manager, while receiving no title or pay increase. It's also worth mentioning that I'm now the only IT guy for my entire state.

I was obviously bothered by this, and arranged for a series of meetings with my mangers and HR. The first meeting resulted in them telling me that they were short staffed so I had to pick up the slack and help the team. The second meeting was a lot of vague corporate jargon that did not tell me anything. The third meeting was them confirming that they would not be hiring anyone else, besides a guy from another state who's office had been downsized, and would temporarily help me if I needed anything. He's entirely remote. Given the nature of the job, there's very little he can do being remote, so since then, I've been the primary point of contact for all IT stuff in the entire state.

Now what I thought it was fair to do since I'm doing all the duties and responsibilities of the IT manager, was to change my job title and description on Linkedin and my resume to better reflect it. My career focus is trying to get into IT management, so having this on there would help me. I don't personally see any issue with it as it more honestly reflects the work I do. However my wife thought it was a bad idea and makes me look bad to future employers. She also said it could be sinful. Obviously if I were in a job interview, I would explain the whole situation, but not having that on there would likely prevent me from getting an interview at all.

I am wondering what people's thoughts are on this. I understand it is likely a gray area. My view is more based on the motive behind it. I'm not trying to be deceitful, just trying to showcase what I actually do and what my experience is.
