Another Day Another Kid Sport Fan Gets Accused of Racism

Not too long ago a kid got accused of being a racist for wearing a native American headdress and painting his face half red and black during a sports event. After backlash from sane people and the threat of a lawsuit, the sport media updated its story in an attempt to somewhat (insincerely) apologise. Now another kid got the same treatment for wearing black face-paint in his school's sport event. He was suspended for 2 days and banned from all other sporting events by the school. Now the parents are threating legal lawsuit.

Why are adults in America so much more moronic than kids nowadays? The kid knew it. He was doing in the sprit of sports. The adults on the other hand were punishing him in the spirit of political correctness. One look at the picture and you would know it's a sporting thing. Athletes wear them all the time. It takes people but a few seconds to search this on the internet. Yet educators can't discern the difference? But IMHO it's not that they couldn't but rather they wouldn't.

All this is happening on a more frequent basis due to the social environment fostered by prolong indoctrination of (2 decades long) political ideology. A spectrum of political ideology that indoctrinated people to be hypersensitive to anything racial (rightly or wrongly). To a hammer everything looks like a nail.

Truth no longer matters as long as there is outrage to be had and someone's feeling trumps the liberty of others.

Historicist Only The People of the Revelation

There is no return to the Old Covenant people when Christ returns. Christ mediates over the people of the New Covenant, which affirms Revelation pertains to the Church, not the Old Covenant people. The contradictions of futurism continue in their view of Christ’s parables when Ice writes,

The course of this age is given to Christians primarily by Christ’s parables in Matthew 13 providing insight into the course of this dispensation. Since Matthew 13 surveys this present age in its relation to the postponement of the kingdom, the parables cover the period of time between Christ’s two advents—His first and second comings. This includes the tribulation, second coming, and final judgment, after the rapture, but nevertheless includes an important overview of our present era. Therefore, the items that relate to the end of the age in Matthew 13 do not apply to the church age, since our dispensation will end via the rapture, while the broader inter-advent age continues with the tribulation and Christ’s physical return to planet earth at the end of that seven-year period.[1]

Ice, like all futurists, sees the scattering of Israel as undetermined; God did not predestine Israel’s response at the first advent. God did not foresee the Church in theological libertarianism. As a result, all apocalyptic prophecy pertains to Israel, not the Church in futurism and preterism. Even so, all the judgments in Revelation are by Christ; he ministers the New Covenant upon the Church, not the Old. Christ is not a Levite. The judgment between the good seed sown in the world and the tares is under the New Covenant. Revelation’s seven churches in Asia Minor vindicate Christ as judge over the Church. How could the good seeds be saved except by Christ in this Age?

The OT prophecies about Christ’s wounding and his return to gather Israel predicted our age between two advents. Ice’s view is unsustainable considering the numerous Old and NT passages about Christ’s wounding and Israel’s scattering, demonstrating divine foreknowledge that most of Israel would reject Christ as Zechariah prophesied. God’s prophets prophesied, and “it came to pass” (Deuteronomy 18:22). Ice preaches the sowing represents “two advents—His first and second comings,” but also teaches about a secret return in which hundreds of thousands of people disappear according to futurism. That’s three advents, not two! How is Christ’s return a secret when hundreds of thousands disappear? Ice also sees a third type of person when there are but two in the parable: the tares and the good seeds form “the kingdom of God.” The good seeds are harvested into the barn in the end. The saints are obviously “the good seeds,” and the tares are the lost. There is no third distinction in the parable.

Ron DeSantis suspends campaign, endorses Trump

Ron DeSantis Ends Campaign: "A Majority Of Republican Primary Voters Want To Give Donald Trump Another Chance"

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his presidential campaign and endorsed former President Trump in this video posted Sunday afternoon on Twitter, two days before the New Hampshire primary. "It's clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," DeSantis said. "They watched his presidency get stymied by relentless resistance and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him." "While I have had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden," he said. "I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee, I will honor that pledge. He gets my endorsement because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents."

Does everything have to be the gospel?

Hello all,

Recently as I've learned more theological concepts and ways of thought, I've come to the realization that my church embraces a biblical theology that prioritizes the gospel above all else. Now that's obviously not a bad thing, but what I mean is that everything stems around Jesus saying after his resurrection that everything in the old testament was talking about Him. This results in every single sermon, and every single sermon series having the main point being making a Christ connection. The preacher will spend 40 minutes explaining how any given passage points to Christ. Nothing else will be gleaned from said passage. So take the fall in the garden for instance. Instead of touching on temptation and how to deal with it, or how a marriage structure aught to work, you're only going to see how this passage calls for Christ, and points forward to Him. In fact people in the church tend to dislike pastors or be wary of preaching that isn't like this.

I'm curious what people's reactions are to this. Do you think this is a good thing? Is this healthy?

Righteousness vs. Godliness

The Bible has a lot to say about righteousness by faith, including amongst others, Romans 3:21-22.

I'll admit that for years I struggled with sin, less so nowadays, mainly in my thought life. I was always baffled by 1 John 3:9, which stated that a believer cannot sin if he has been born again:

Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
1 John 3:9

Scripture is innerant, so I must be at fault here. I got fed up with a church I was attending, as I felt the pastor was legalistic and spoke about not sinning more than righteosness by faith. So, I got into the grace movement led by ministers such as Joseph Prince. It made me feel better about myself and less guilty. But I still felt spiritually dry and it did nothing to stop me from sinning. After several years, I realised I had backslidden. Whilst I had clung to the belief that I was righteous by faith, I realised I was not living the godly life I had been called to. It's as if there's a distinction between righteousness (right standing with God) and godliness (living a life that pleases God).

After years of backsliding, I was brought to repentence through chastisement. But I'm still left wondering how to reconcile the differences between righteouness and godliness; how can our faith manifest itself in a life that pleases God? It's not always as simple as just wanting to live a godly life and following a list of rules, which is the law. This is especially the case, I believe, with thoughts and spoken words. James 3:8 says, "But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison."

We can be righteous by faith - can we also be godly by faith?

Historicist Only Daniel's Seventy Weeks

It is impossible to argue against Christ’s two advents at this late date. Christ is wounded, and Israel is scattered at the first advent and gathered into the barn upon his future return, confirming premillennialism and historicism. In an article titled Consistent Biblical Futurism Thomas Ice holds such contradictions when he writes,

When one looks at the New Testament Epistles for specific prophecy relating to the current church age, there is virtually nothing to be found. The church age is not a time of specific prophetic fulfillment and does not have a particular prophetic countdown or timetable, as does Israel and her 70 weeks of years prophecy (Dan. 9:24-27).[1]

Like all futurists, Ice fails to recognize that this age was prophesied and is the source of Christ’s parables. In analyzing preterism, we’ve given ample evidence Christ came to punish the shepherds and scatter the sheep, not to restore the kingdom of Israel. The seventy weeks in Daniel 9:24 are determined as an example of regarding events near but distant in cryptic language; even so, they have a determined end at the first advent and not beyond.

Futurists assert the seventy weeks are protracted because the “purpose” hasn’t been fulfilled. The purpose was to “finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy” (Daniel 9:24). The problem with the futurists’ imagination is that, as a whole, the Jewish people were never ordained to accept the Messiah, as we’ve already witnessed concerning the prophesied rejection of the cornerstone and the scattering of the sheep in the OT. In Romans 9:6, Paul stated, “For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel”. Paul means that only the elect are predestined to accept Christ, also affirmed in Romans 11. As the scripture declares, “many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 20:16, 22:14). The point is that at any specific time in history, not all people descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are saved. The tares grow alongside the good seeds. Only a chosen few, the elect, were preserved at the first advent. And with that chosen few, the purposes of the seventy weeks were fulfilled. When Christ remitted sin at the cross, all the transgressions of the elect were forgiven and ended in Christ. Christ made a complete reconciliation for the iniquity of the elect, which doesn’t have to be repeated when he returns. Christ established everlasting righteousness for the elect, which doesn’t have to be duplicated when he returns. Christ’s redemption sealed the prophecy and anointed the heavenly sanctuary when he ascended to the Father’s right hand, which doesn’t have to be accomplished again upon his return. Christ fully accomplished the purposes of the seventy weeks at the first advent.

The futurist dogmas expose free will or theological libertarianism. They take Paul’s declaration that “all Israel shall be saved” when the fullness of the Gentiles is accomplished in Romans 11:25-26 as if God compels or exerts His influence over the people descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at Christ’s return. But what prevented Him from making them accept Christ at the first advent? What they are asserting is theological libertarianism at the first advent and determinism at the second; it can’t be both. The prophecies that Christ would come to punish the shepherds and scatter the sheep vindicate theological determinism and destroy the futurist and preterist dogmas based on libertarianism. The seventy weeks have a determined end at the first advent and not beyond.

There shall be no more death...

Peace in Christ.

Joshua was a “type” for Jesus Christ.

With Jesus/Joshua (His manifest eternal life in this mortal body), we will also go unto the promise “land”….that is, to inherit this earth. We are to be rulers with Him in the age to come.

With Him, we will continue to live in this earth to see this (to inherit this earth) just as Caleb and Joshua did with the Promised Land while the unbelievers of Israel died off in the desert.

Deu 31:7
(7) And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land (earth) which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

Caleb (meaning “faithful, whole-hearted”) was kept alive by the LORD….and so will we also by our faith in the name of Jesus Christ whose eternal life shall be made manifest in our mortal bodies in the here-and-now (in this present evil age) to keep us alive unto the coming age where we shall inherit this earth (the gospel/good news of the Kingdom).

This is not about “dying and going to Heaven”.

All of those who are perishing (mortally dying) have been deceived by false prophets and do not understand the true good news (gospel) of our Lord Jesus Christ for the here-and-now. They perish in the wilderness so to speak.

Jos 14:10-11 KJV
(10) And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

Caleb and Joshua continued to live on this earth to inherit the promised land while the unbelievers died in the wilderness and did not reach that destination.

Caleb and Joshua had “eternal life” in a sense as they were kept alive by the LORD to inherit the promised land. We also shall be preserved in this earth with the manifest eternal life of Jesus keeping us alive until we inherit the earth.

Num 26:65 KJV
(65) For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Num 14:24 KJV
(24) But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Those who are dying have not truly believed. They have "believed" in vain.

Heb 3:17-19 KJV
(17) But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

(18) And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
(19) So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

The ends of the “world”….that is, AGE…are come upon us…so let us heed the warnings of what the people did in the wilderness (and died there) and not follow them. They are examples to us of what not to do so that we may continue to live here.

1Co 10:11-12 KJV
(11) Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
(12) Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

For we are to be delivered (plucked out) from this present evil age (in this “desert”) that we are currently living in by God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. “world” = “age”.

The 2 ages overlap as we shall have the eternal life of the next age to come NOW in Jesus Christ so that we may live on this earth until all of the kingdoms of this world become His…of which we become rulers of this earth with Him.

Gal 1:3-4
(3) Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
(4) Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world (AGE), according to the will of God and our Father:

We are NOT to be taken out of this world but rather to be kept from the evil of this present evil age.

Joh 17:14-16 KJV
(14) I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
(15) I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
(16) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Our Savior Jesus Christ has rendered death idle and has brought life and immortality to light through the good news.

2Ti 1:9-10 KJV
(9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Whosoever believes INTO Him (as His immortal life shall be made manifest in our mortal flesh) should not perish (mortally die from this earth) but have “eternal life”….the eternal life of the age to come to be had NOW in this present evil age. “eternal” = age lasting.

Joh 3:15-17 KJV
(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Through faith in His name, He makes our “man” (our mortal body) strong in “perfect soundness” so that we may live.

Act 3:16 KJV
(16) And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Note the lame beggar that was miraculously healed was “above 40 years old”. This is not just a trivial detail.

Act 4:21-22 KJV
(21) So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
(22) For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

This detail of his age points back to Caleb who was also 40 years old in the desert and was made strong even until age 85 so that he could live in the desert until he could dwell in that promised land. He was kept alive for 45 years while in the desert.

Jos 14:10-11
(10) And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five (45) years , even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five (85) years old.
(11) As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

But be aware of the false prophets among us. They lead us astray and overthrow faith so that we do not believe INTO Jesus. We are then destroyed with them from this earth. We perish along with them.

They deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jud 1:4-5 KJV
(4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
(5) I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

They deny the Holy One and the Just….the true Lord Jesus…and many desire “another jesus” that the false prophets are preaching (their “jesus” Barabbas…the preaching of the “son” of their church fathers).

Act 3:14-15 KJV
(14) But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

The false prophets and their followers “kill the Prince of life” as the eternal life of Jesus is not being made manifest in the mortal flesh of those they are deceiving. His life is being aborted from this earth…. from being made manifest in the mortal flesh of those who are being deceived by them.

(15) And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

We and our “rulers” do it through ignorance. We do not have the true gospel of Jesus Christ being preached to us.

Act 3:16-17 KJV
(16) And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
(17) And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

The “princes of this age”….the church rulers…are in ignorance. If they knew what they were doing, they would not be currently crucifying the Lord of glory whom God has already raised from the dead. They do not know the true good news of Jesus Christ who brings our mortal bodies immortality in this earth in the here-and-now.

1Co 2:7-8 KJV
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
(8) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things (such as death) are passed away. There shall be no more death. As He lives, we shall live in this earth.

2Co 5:17-18 KJV
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Rev 21:4-5 KJV
(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

The Authoritarian Playbook

Do Americans want an authoritarion government? Just last night, Trump reminded voters again that he admires the likes of Viktor Orban:

During a Saturday night rally, former president Donald Trump reiterated his praise for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has amassed functionally autocratic power by changing his country’s constitution and controlling the media. “It’s nice to have a strong man leading your country,”

The Democracy Project released a report last week summarizing Trump's plans to consolidate power in a 2nd term:

“As damaging as Trump’s first term was to American systems of constitutional government, culminating in his efforts to overturn an election and violently halt the counting of electoral votes by Congress, what he has promised in his own words to do if returned to office would be even more destructive to our Republic.”

Trump has already told us repeatedly what he plans to do, the authors write, but this time, he has the backing of “groups working to support those promises in preparation for a second Trump term.”

  • Pardons to License Lawbreaking: During Trump’s first term, he discovered that he could leverage the pardon power to induce witnesses against him into silence. In a second term, he has indicated he would further abuse pardons to incite political violence, incentivize lawbreaking for his benefit, and render himself above the law.
  • Directing Investigations Against Critics and Rivals: Retribution is the dominant theme of Trump’s 2024 campaign, and his allies are making plans to eliminate the Department of Justice’s traditional prosecutorial independence to give Trump greater personal control to direct law enforcement against his perceived opponents and insulate himself from accountability.
  • Regulatory Retaliation: In addition to steering prosecutorial discretion via the Department of Justice, Trump has vowed to consolidate and wield federal regulatory power to reward political loyalty and punish his critics, particularly those associated with the media. There are numerous reports of this regulatory retaliation happening during Trump’s first term, and plans for a second include ways of removing those obstacles that limited opportunities for more.
  • Federal Law Enforcement Overreach: Trump’s declaration that immigration is “poisoning the blood of our country” is a grim foreshadowing of how he will invoke the Alien Enemies Act, a wartime provision dating back to 1798. Once Trump has that power, he has also expressed his will to expand the footprint of federal law enforcement to police cities and shut down lawful protests.
  • Domestic Deployment of the Military: A central hallmark of American democracy is that the U.S. military not be used against American citizens. But Trump plans to abuse the Insurrection Act to order military force to quash dissent and target vulnerable communities.

YouTube videos of Iran

Hey, something interesting- an Iranian woman married into my family and I was curious about her country so I started watching YouTube videos of her country. If you watch YouTube videos on Iran you will see this, the country is so evil you can see it just watching the videos, something about the YouTube videos of Iran is disturbing! The whole country is now under the control of the enemy, there is so much darkness there you can see it! The atmosphere there is very grim! However if you watch these videos you will see this as well, almost none of iranian women are wearing the hijab (muslim head scarf) any more, almost not a soul! Things could start to turn around in that country in short order, they are ditching the hijab and burqa en-masse, lslam may start to lose it's grip on the country!

Trump accuses Nikki Haley of destroying J6 evidence

HCR reports:

Last night at a rally in New Hampshire, former president Trump repeatedly confused former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, who is running against him for the Republican presidential nomination, with Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the former speaker of the House.

“By the way, they never report the crowd on January 6th,” Trump told the audience. “You know, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, you know they, do you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it. All of it because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people. Soldiers, National Guards, whatever they want. They turned it down.”

Observers have been saying for a while now that once Trump had to start appearing in public, his apparent cognitive decline would surprise those who haven’t been paying attention.

That certainly seemed to be true on Wednesday, January 17, when he told a New Hampshire audience: “We’re…going to place strong protections to stop banks and regulators from trying to debank you from your—you know, your political beliefs, what they do. They want to debank you, and we’re going to debank—think of this. They want to take away your rights. They want to take away your country. The things they’re doing. All electric cars.”

You can't argue with logic like that!

COLD OR HOT ANGER

  1. COLD OR HOT ANGER

  • When I think about Daniel he tells us to trust only God!

  • He kept faithful whatever happened!

  • And he maintained his faithfulness in God!

  • He did his job! And he was always in a hurry! That's why he was above the others in a foreign country!

  • He didn't do it for him!

  • Otherwise he would have been in trouble! And he didn't let others take him away from God!

  • Men like Job, Samuel and Daniel spoke with the same voice to pray to God and to do his will!

  • If they were living today they would be ashamed of men!

  • And they would keep serving God whatever happens!

  • When I think about Paul he also tells us to trust only God!

  • I could say the same like in the case of Job, Samuel and daniel!

  • But he also encourages us to serve God and do our best to help others to get to know the Bible and God's message!

  • It is the best way to prepare for the future and for God's kingdom!

  • It won't be a part-time job but a full -time job!

  • And there won't be any other option!

  • When I think about prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah I see men who told men of their time that God was going to destroy them!

  • Destroy their way of life!

  • They would lose everything they had!

  • They were not afraid!

  • But those men didn't care!

  • And they lost everything!

  • They just had to listen and make big changes in their lives!

  • They had lost everything they were told!

  • They thought it would never occur!

  • And time passed!

  • And the destruction happened!

  • And everything that was told happened!

  • And Now?

  • Who listens to God's message?

  • Isaiah = DESTRUCTION!

  • Jeremiah = DESTRUCTION!

  • Daniel = RECONSTRUCTION AND DESTRUCTION!

  • Samuel = human kings replace God as king of Israel more problems for Israel!

  • Next step = God's kingdom = DESTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION!

  • Anything else to add?

  • Will you get your pass for the promised land?

  • The Hebews failed except two men: Joshua and Caleb!

  • Think about that!

  • They never understood anything!

  • They didn't get ready!

  • They were stubborn!

  • So is mankind!

  • Will you get ready?

  • Or do you think you can get your pass for nothing?

  • I see normal men who became men of action because they serve God faithfully!

  • And their examples encourage us to take action!

  • I can think of Samuel!

  • He became a servant of God right at the beginning because of his mother!

  • And he became jealous for God because the Israelites rejected God as their king!

  • Instead they wanted a human king!

  • And he stayed faithful as a high priest and as a judge before Israel!

  • And he would do it all his life!

  • I can think of Daniel!

  • We are only told that he went to Babylon when he was a young man!

  • But he kept faithful and he didn't let himself be influenced by Babylonian traditions!

  • On the contrary, he kept strictly what he was taught!

  • And he did everything to not only maintain his relationship to God but to improve it!

  • In fact, he tells us that it is not possible to maintain a good relationship to God if we don't improve it!

  • That's why it is necessary to study the Bible daily and speak about what we learn to others!

  • And in fact, there was no one like him in Babylon!

  • He had more knowledge and wisdom than anyone in babylon!

  • And God was with him in everything he did!

  • I can think of Job!

  • He was always proud of his relationship to God!

  • He was always proud of doing his best to do what was right!

  • And he tells us to feel the same!

  • He knew something was wrong!

  • And he didn't know why!

  • But his relationship to God was his compass!

  • And nobody could break it!

  • Not even the devil!

  • When I think of Moses I have incredible images in mind!

  • He was educated as a prince of Egypt!

  • But he received a good education from his mother as a child!

  • He chose his own people, not the Egyptians!

  • And he had to flee and abandon everything behind him!

  • And he became a shepherd!

  • And God trained him when he was a shepherd living a simple life!

  • And he chose him to free his people from Egypt!

  • But he didn't think he was able to do it!

  • And he was not good at speaking in front of others!

  • So God told Aaron to go with him!

  • And he became the leader of the Israelites! And he had to bear their rebellious nature!

  • And they rebelled all the time!

  • And he saved them twice from extermination!

  • And he rescued them many times!

  • But they died in the desert!

  • And he couldn't get into the promised land!

  • Because of one mistake!

  • But a big one!

  • And it was because of the Israelites!

  • Thus we have a lot to learn about him!

  • We must never think that our relationship to God is good enough!

  • Not at all!

  • We must keep strengthening it!

  • Cold or hot anger?

  • When Adam and Eve opposed God they lost many things and died!

  • It wasn't any anger from God!

  • It was only the price to pay for disobedience!

  • A way to maintain the balance!

  • Cold or hot anger?

  • Cain became jealous of his brother Abel because God looked with favor on Abel but not on him!

  • And Cain grew hot with anger!

  • And God told him if he changed his attitude God could restore him to his favor!

  • But instead of listening to God he killed his brother!

  • So God cursed him and he was banished!

  • And God prevented Cain from being killed!

  • Once again no anger at all against Cain from God!

  • Just God's justice or a just balance!

  • Nothing more!

God vs OCD

I am having a really weird thing happen. Certain thoughts will trigger a very sharp "Prick" somewhere on my body. It feels like ive been stung. Something in my head tells me this prick means whatever I was thinking about is false and it is God letting me know its false. The issue is, these things are ACCURATE and are always right. Even when im not thinking about them, if "God" doesn't like something I think about, ill get one. And, I gotta admit they are starting to scare me.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be from God?

Plushie Dreadfuls

These stuffed animals are sooooo adorable. But even though I want to order one, I notice they have alchemy signs on them. I like the mental health selection, plushie fruitfuls, and the latte lapins. However, take a look at them. Do they seem demonic to you? I don’t want to invite bad spirits into my house or go to hell. Can you give me your opinion please? Safe to buy?

Not Free to Keep Sinning

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” (Galatians 5:13-15 ESV)

Now the very specific context of this passage of Scripture is dealing with the issue of the Judaizers trying to convince the believers in Jesus Christ that they still had to (or that they newly had to) hold on to some of the Old Covenant liturgical and ceremonial and dietary laws and restrictions, including the command of God to the Israelites for circumcision (of males only, I presume). So what Paul was reminding them of is that in Jesus’ death and resurrection they were set free from those Old Covenant liturgical and ceremonial laws and customs. They were no longer under that law.

Now we still have Judaizers among us today who are still trying to convince Christians that they need to be more like Jews and that it would enhance their relationships with the Lord if they would follow some of those Old Covenant liturgical and ceremonial laws. And there are many Christians who are being captivated by what these Judaizers are teaching them, and so they are adding on to their faith these Jewish religious customs and ceremonies that do nothing at all to enhance their relationships with the Lord, but can serve, in truth, as a distraction from what God is calling them to do.

So, in context, the freedom they were called to was freedom from having to keep all those Old Covenant liturgical, ceremonial, sacrificial, purification, and dietary laws and restrictions, including the requirement for circumcision. But as we will see as we continue to read in this passage of Scripture, this is not to be regarded as freedom from God’s moral laws, nor as complete freedom from having to obey God’s commandments to us under the New Covenant, which is what many are teaching these days, that we are free from having to obey the Lord. But he did not make us lawless.

In fact, in the Scriptures we read that our Lord died on that cross to deliver us from our slavery to sin so that we will walk in obedience to his commands, in practice, and no longer in sin. And we have many commands of God written down for us in the New Testament, under the New Covenant, that we are required of God to obey, in his power and strength. And we read under the New Covenant that if sin is what we obey, and not obedience to our Lord, and not righteousness, that we do not have eternal life with God, regardless of what faith we profess with our lips.

So, whether the issue is one of legalism, which is adding on to the commands of the Lord what he does not command, or whether it is liberalism (or libertinism) which removes from and which alters the commands of our Lord under the New Covenant to give people permission to keep living in sin, both are wrong. Both are contrary to the teachings of the Scriptures taught in context. For both are of the flesh of man (humans) and are not of God, not of his word. But the truth lies somewhere in between these two extremes. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

For this word “love” is not based in human emotion. It is not based in what other people do for us or how they treat us. And it is not based in legalistic requirements not found in the Scriptures (under the New Covenant), and it is not based in this idea that we can sin as much as we want and still go to heaven. For this word “love” means, for the believer in Christ, to live through Christ, to embrace God’s will, to choose his choices, and to obey them in his power. And it means to prefer what God prefers which is what is holy, godly, morally pure, upright, honest, faithful, and obedient to our Lord.

So if we love our neighbors (all people) with this kind of love, we are not going to sin against them deliberately and habitually and premeditatedly. We are not going to lie to them and cheat on them and steal from them and slander them and hate them and be malicious towards them and to commit adultery against them (against spouses). But we are going to be kind and thoughtful and pure and righteous in how we treat them. And so we will not withhold the truth from them that they need to hear, either, in order to have them like us and not think evil against us.

So, even if we are set free from legalistic requirements, we are not to use that freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. For Jesus died to free us from our slavery (addiction) to sin so that we will obey him and live holy lives pleasing to him. Thus, our salvation from sin is not just forgiveness of sins and the hope of heaven when we die. Our salvation is freedom from our bondage to sin so that we will now walk in obedience to our Lord in holy living. Thus sin will no longer be our practice, but our practice will be to obey our Lord and to live for him and to do his will.

So don’t buy into the lies which tell you that you are free from having to obey our Lord’s commands under the New Covenant, or that you are free to sin without guilt and without punishment now. For Jesus said that not everyone who says to him, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING the will of God the Father. And he said that if we want to come after him that we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin) and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our lives of sin and if we do not deny self, die daily to sin, and obey our Lord, heaven is not our home.

As the Deer

By Martin J. Nystrom
Based off Psalm 42:1

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

Biden DHS used tax payer dollars for anti-conservative propaganda

URI’s Media Education Lab said that it would create “counter-propaganda” to address “propaganda and misinformation concerning topics including immigration, racial justice, the coronavirus, and vaccination” and “build on top of concerns about so-called ‘fake news’ and ‘cancel culture.” The government employees using our taxpayer money for political purposes need to be prosecuted and jailed.

New ‘Disease X,’ pandemic meeting held by world leaders

World leaders discussed “Disease X” on Wednesday at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, which took place in Davos, Switzerland.

Prior to Wednesday’s forum, the World Economic Forum’s website listed a description of the meeting, which said, “With fresh warnings from the World Health Organization (WHO) that an unknown ‘Disease X’ could result in 20 times more fatalities than the coronavirus pandemic, what novel efforts are needed to prepare health care systems for the multiple challenges ahead?”

The “Preparing for Disease X” panelists included WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Shyam Bishen from the Centre for Health and Healthcare, Brazil Minister of Health Nisia Trindade Lima, and multiple executives from various healthcare organizations.

Although Disease X is intended to represent a deadly virus that has not yet been discovered, world leaders at the World Economic Forum discussed plans to prepare health care systems across the world for another event like the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Amesh Adalja, who is an expert from the John Hopkins Center for Health Security, told CBS News that an outbreak of Disease X could happen sooner than most people think.

“There are strains of viruses that have very high mortality rates that could develop the ability to transmit efficiently from human to human,” he Adalja warned.

Do you all take seriously the warnings from the WHO about this so-called "Disease X" or warnings about potential global pandemics more dangerous than Covid-19?

Divide among elites and rest of country widening ahead of 2024 election

The divide between the country’s "elite" and the rest of America is growing and it will have a substantial impact on the 2024 elections, according to a survey conducted by Scott Rasmussen and RMG Research, Inc.
The survey also found the most highly educated voters with advanced degrees are liberal-leaning and their policy positions are at odds with the rest of the electorate, which Rasmussen and conservative economist Steve Moore said during a briefing about the results on Friday.
There were 1,000 members of the "elite" interviewed September 11-26, 2023, and September 14-29 of 2023 for the survey.
The poll defined elites as "those having a postgraduate degree, a household income of more than $150,000 annually, and living in a zip code with more than 10,000 people per square mile. Approximately 1% of the total U.S. population meets these criteria."
Among the 1,000 elites surveyed, 73% of the elites were Democrats, and 14% were Republicans. The study also examined adults who attended either Ivy League colleges or "elite private schools, including Northwestern, Duke, Stanford, and the University of Chicago."
Also, roughly half of those classified as "elites" attended one of those schools, according to the Committee to Unleash Prosperity's report on the findings released on Friday, titled, "Them vs. U.S."
Comparison results for registered voters came from "independent surveys of 1,000 registered voters, each conducted between May and September 2023."
Them vs. Us Rasmussen Study Final.pdf
The survey asked the respondents if their personal finances were "getting better or worse these days."

"Only about 20% of all Americans say they believe their finances are getting better now. But among the Elite, that number more than triples to 74% who say they are better off," the report says. The survey found a similar divide when it came to individual freedom.

I'm aware that not everyone on these forums believes that Rasmussen does fair polling. However, I request that, before commenting on this topic, please read the entirety of the article. I have also included within the second set of quotes a .pdf link for the Rasmussen analysis of this poll.

Sununu rips Scott after Trump endorsement: ‘Nobody’ thinks he will unite the country

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) took another swipe at Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) for endorsing former President Trump, after the senator said the country needs a president “who will unite our country.”

“Tim Scott actually just looked in the camera and said ‘Donald Trump’s going to unite the country.’ Not even Donald Trump believes that statement,” Sununu told Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto on Saturday. “I mean, nobody thinks Donald Trump’s united the country.”

The Granite State governor reiterated that message on Saturday, saying that he found it “disrespectful more than anything” that Scott chose to back the former president.

I like my republicans like I like my IPAs (New England style)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if the GOP looked to the Northeast instead of to the South, they'd see the type of republican they should be getting behind. Guys like Sununu, Charlie Baker, Larry Hogan, and Bill Weld are guys who've proven they've been able to succeed in blue/purple states, they win in landslide gubernatorial victories in states that almost always go blue in presidential elections.

While the naysayers would suggest that "they'd never be popular enough in the south to win over the southern republicans", I would counter that with "so are those southern republicans going to vote for democrats instead? If not, then what does it matter?" It'd almost be a guarantee that southern republicans would still vote for them over democrats, and they'd basically be making the same concession that Cali democrats made when voting for Biden which is a "he's not exactly our cup of tea, but we're certainly not voting for the other team" type of thing....

Some student loan borrowers refusing to pay out of protest

This was a predictable outcome.
