  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Doubleplusungood

"1984" is the name of a work of fiction. Its author is George Orwell (deceased). It is the story of a man living in a totalitarian state, called Oceania. A state that re-writes history, redefines words, controls all of the media, oversees everything and everyone all of the time, ruthlessly controls every thought and every action and every emotion and every facial expression and every bit of body language. In short from a free man's perspective Oceania is doubleplusungood but for those inside its influence Oceania is the salvation of humanity.

George Orwell intended his work to be a warning against Soviet communism, but he also intended it to be a warning against the tendency to control others by the use of force. J R R Tolkien also wrote a book, it is called "The Lord of the Rings" and it too is a warning against the tendency to control others by the use of force. Tolkien's book offers a gospel message of societal salvation by means of destroying the means of forcing others to submit (unwillingly) to control.

Now, what I am wondering is if Christianity is always or only sometimes on the right side of this existential question? In this question I intend "Christianity" to be understood of churches and denominations here on Earth.

In Word and In Deed

“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:12-17 ESV)

When we believe in Jesus Christ with God-given faith in him, it is not just so that we can have our sins forgiven and so that we can go to heaven when we die. The reason that Jesus died on that cross was so that we could die with him to sin and live to him and to his righteousness. It was so that, by God-persuaded faith in him, we would be crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness.

[1 Peter 2:24; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Ephesians 4:17-24].

So, all these people who are telling you that no works are required of you at all, and that God does everything, and that you do nothing other than to “believe,” which is rarely biblically define, they are lying to you. Yes, we are not saved through human effort. I agree! Yes, our faith, the grace of God, and our salvation are all gifted to us by God and they are not of our own doing – not of the will nor of the flesh of man. But that also means that we do not get to define what that faith looks like. God does. His word does!

[Hebrews 12:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12-13; John 6:44]

So we need to know that Ephesians 2:8-9 is followed by Ephesians 2:10 which says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” And Titus 2:11-14 lets us know that the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, trains us to renounce (say “No!” to) ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives. For Jesus Christ “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

And we also need to know that Jesus Christ said that if anyone would come after him that he must deny self, take up his cross daily (die daily to sin and to self) and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our old lives of living in sin and for self, we will lose them for eternity. But if for the sake of Jesus we deny self, die daily to sin, and follow him in obedience, then we have eternal life in him. For he also said that not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING the will of God the Father.

[Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23; Galatians 5:16-21; 1 John 3:4-10]

So, when we read instructions in the Scriptures written to the body of Christ, the church, which are intended for the church of all generations, we are not to dismiss them just because they don’t fit with a particular theology which is telling you that God requires nothing of you other than some innocuous “faith” in him, which is of yourself because it is not according to the Scriptures. All throughout the New Testament we who believe in Jesus are being instructed in what we are to stop doing and what we are to be doing.

And these instructions are not optional. They are to be taught as required of God, not as mere suggestions or recommendations (see Colossians 3:5-11). So, when we are instructed here to put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, etc., this is what we are to do, not in our own strength, and not of the flesh, but in the power of God as being led by the Spirit of God. But we are first of all to put off all that is earthly in us – sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, evil desire, idolatry, and the like.

But so many people are following a false gospel message which is an adulterated version of the true gospel which is giving them the impression that how they live will not alter their relationship with the Lord and that it will not impact their salvation and eternal life. Just not biblical! And so we have a massive amount of people here in America professing faith in Jesus Christ and heaven as their eternal destiny who are still living for self and for the flesh and who are still walking in sin and not in obedience to the Lord.

But we are to be people of God who are putting off the flesh, who are dying daily to sin and to self, and who are putting on love and compassionate hearts and kindness and humility, and who are forgiving one another, and who are loving one another with agape love which prefers what God prefers. And what God prefers is all that is holy, righteous, morally pure, upright, honest, faithful, and obedient to God and to his commands. So we will do for others what is for their spiritual good and not just to please them.

So, yes, the word of God is to be dwelling within us, not just in our intellect, but as part of who we are and of what we do. We are to be daily putting that word into practice, which is for us who are followers of Christ. And then we are to be teaching the word of God to one another, and we are to be admonishing one another in accord with that word. And we are to be spreading the truth of the gospel to the world around us. We are not to be living for ourselves doing whatever pleases us, but what pleases God.

[Matt 5:13-16; Matt 28:18-20; Jn 4:31-38; Jn 13:13-17; Jn 14:12; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:14-18; Acts 26:18; Rom 10:14-15; Rom 12:1-8; Rom 15:14; 1 Co 12:1-31; 1 Co 14:1-5; Eph 4:1-16; Eph 5:17-27; Php 2:1-8; Col 3:16; Heb 3:13; Heb 10:23-25; 1 Pet 2:9,21; 1 Jn 2:6]

Broken and Contrite

An Original Work / May 13, 2012

I come before You, Lord, my Savior,
With humble heart and crushed in spirit.
I bow before You, I implore You,
Heal my broken heart, I pray.
Love You, Jesus, Lord, my master,
You are the King of my heart.
Lord, purify my heart within me;
Sanctify me, whole within.

Oh, Lord, I long to obey fully
The words You’ve spoken through Your Spirit.
I pray You give me grace and mercy,
Strength and wisdom to obey.
Father God, my heart’s desire,
Won’t You set my heart on fire?
Lord, cleanse my heart of all that hinders
My walk with You, now I pray.

Oh, Jesus, Savior, full of mercy,
My heart cries out for understanding.
I want to follow You in all ways,
Never straying from Your truth.
Holy Spirit, come in power,
Fill me with Your love today.
Lord, mold and make me;
Your hands formed me;
Live Your life through me, I pray.

Genesis 6

Genesis 6

1Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, 2the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose.

3So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.”

4The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and afterward as well—when the sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. And they bore them children who became the mighty men of old, men of renown.

Well first we must find out who the sons of God were.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among us job 1:6

So the sons God were Angels.

There were 200 fallen Angels who landed on Mount Herman that day, this is Mount Herman today.

North Korean Christians

WHAT IT MEANS TO FOLLOW CHRIST IN NORTH KOREA:

Christians are sent to prison and labor camps, where they are starved, overworked and tortured. The government’s requirement that all North Koreans act as informants applies even to families, as children are taught to spy on their parents from a young age. Therefore, North Korean Christians must be extremely careful in what they say, what they do and even how they pray. When a Christian is discovered, the government punishes the entire family in order to encourage reporting on family members. Despite the threat of persecution and heavy social pressure, Christians in North Korea hold firmly to their faith. Christian and secular analysts estimate that about 30,000 Christians are currently suffering in prison and labor camps.

ACCESS TO BIBLES:

Owning a Bible or even portions of Scripture is extremely risky in North Korea. Nevertheless, bold Christians work to bring God’s Word to the North Korean people, few of whom have ever had access to Scripture because of the regime’s unceasing efforts to restrict access. Most of North Korea’s underground Christians have found that memorization is the safest and most effective way to keep God’s Word.

(Last night at Bible study we were discussing how the seed gets spread around the world, and one young man said his church has missionaries in S Korea that they pray for all the time. I said it's possible they might even reach North Korea, because the South Korean believers sometimes floated scriptures on balloons the North calls "propaganda balloons" However, then South Korea stopped the balloons 2 years ago!

"However, in 2020, the South Korean government officially passed a bill to criminalize the flying of propaganda balloons toward North Korea, despite criticisms by activists that the attempts of improving ties with the North with such a ban would suppress the freedom of expression for South Korean citizens. The 187 lawmakers who supported the bill pledged that the new legislation was passed to avoid unnecessarily provoking North Korea, to ensure the safety of people living near the border and secure stable relations with the North. Under the new law, anyone flying leaflets, auxiliary storage devices or money towards North Korea without government permission is punishable by up to three years in prison or 30 million won (approx. $27,730) in fines."

Now let's not ask if anyone is still flying balloons with Bibles & scripture. I also heard someone floated scriptures in bottles also, in hopes they wash up on N Korea's shores. Definitely ALL of this deserves much prayer, and ultimately this prayer, "EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS!" - Revelation 22:20 )
Amen

Can All These Nations Be Identified In The Latter Days

Numbers 24:
14 And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise
thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.

15 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said,
and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High,
which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob,
and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

20 And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations;
but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said,
Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.

22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.

23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur,
and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

Is family a right or a privilege?

I'm just reflecting on this complicated issue with my sister-in-law and relating it to an episode of a sitcom I used to love. Long story short, two of the main characters are married, the wife had an absentee father who is trying to reconcile with her and her husband naively invites him to Thanksgiving. After realizing her dad still hadn't changed enough, if at all, the husband kicked him out and went to find his wife who had left in anger. He tells her family's a privilege not a right, and her dad has to earn it.

Do you guys think that conflicts too much with the Church's teachings on marriage and family?

Reason I bring this up is my wife is trying her best to guide her younger sister who's unmarried, pregnant, and her boyfriend who's 11 years her junior isn't indicating any movement towards marriage. We would let this play out more on it's own and stay out of it if we didn't see all of the stress that his actions are putting on my sister-in-law and thus, presumably, the unborn baby. At first we were encouraging them to get married because we thought that'd be best for everyone, but we laid off that a long time ago and now my wife is wrestling with telling her sister she ought to leave this guy. She doesn't want to create a situation like her own kids were in where their parents weren't together, but she also sees the father's lack of "stepping up" or "manning up" and worries about how it could affect her sister and her unborn niece's health. Especially when her sister has a history of mental health problems.

I started thinking that the father/boyfriend is acting like he doesn't have to act cause she's already "stuck" with him, which led me to me remembering that line from the show.

I'm probably way off base from a Catholic standpoint but if I am then it really seems like a no-win situation.

G7 warns Iran not to support Russia with ballistic missiles

G7 warns Iran not to support Russia with ballistic missiles

G7 leaders on Friday urged Iran not to send ballistic missiles to Russia.
“We are extremely concerned about reports that Iran is considering transferring ballistic missiles and related technology to Russia after having supplied the Russian regime with UAVs, which are used in relentless attacks against the civilian population in Ukraine,” the statement said.
The G7 called on Iran not to deliver missiles, and said there would be consequences if they did.
“Were Iran to proceed with providing ballistic missiles or related technology to Russia, we are prepared to respond swiftly and in a coordinated manner including with new and significant measures against Iran,” the statement said.
A senior official in the U.S. administration said the country had not yet seen confirmation that missiles have moved from Iran to Russia, but noted that negotiations between the countries have been advancing.
The official reiterated that measures would be taken against Iran if it supplied Russia with missiles, including a potential ban of flights by state-owned Iran Air into Europe.

(Escalate, escalate. Notice nothing at all seems to be going in the opposite direction of peace? The wars grind on, and when someone gets low on supplies, other nations pick up the slack. Except it almost seems calculated that Ukraine doesn't get enough to hold a stalemate, let alone win. Zelensky messed up by not looking way down the road, thinking his western allies would supply him with the means to beat Russia and drive them out, including the delusions of grandeur about driving Russia from Crimea as well.

Luke 14:31-32,

"Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace."

2022, Ukraine had approximately 700,000
Russia was 2 million personal, and 1.15 million troops.
But we also have the population pool: Ukraines of 39.7 million to Russia's 143.44 million in 2022

Ukraine gambled on foreign help, but only got enough to keep the war going, not make any significant headway to any sort of victory.

Daily Tamiyd-Continual Offerings

This thread is a continuation of several other threads pertaining to the sacrifices.
Please bear with me through a few definitions and I pray that the results be rewarding.

1a) (Qal)
1a1) to bring into bondage, make subservient
1a2) to subdue, force, violate
1a3) to subdue, dominate, tread down

Part of Speech: verb
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: a primitive root

H3534
כֶּבֶשׂ kebeś
BDB Definition:
1) lamb, sheep, young ram
Part of Speech: noun masculine
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: from an unused root meaning to dominate

The verb is kabash: to dominate.
The noun is kebesh now pointed as kebes: a dominator.

In the original form of the square Ashuri Hebrew text there was no pointing, (not even in the first century because the Masoretic Hebrew text is only about a thousand years old), and both words were therefore the same exact spelling, three letters, kaph, bet, shin. The context was the only way to understand the meaning and intent of the word
כבש.

The following is actually a command, for the holy people are likened unto sheep:

Genesis 1:28 KJV
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: [H3533 כבש kabash] and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Abraham is spoken to as if a lamb, (a dominator, (of the land)).

Genesis 13:14-17 KJV
14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

All Yisrael are spoken to as if the flock of the Great Shepherd:

Deuteronomy 11:18-24 KJV
[18] Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
[19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[20] And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
[21] That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
[22] For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
[23] Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
[24] Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

Now therefore we come to the daily ascending prayer offerings, which are commanded to bnei Yisrael, as opposed to being only commanded to the Levim and the Kohanim, and this is made clear in the opening statement of the following passage.

Numbers 28:1-10
[01] And YHWH spoke to Mosheh, saying,
[02] Command bnei Yisrael, and you shall say to them, My korban-offering, My bread for My fire-offering, a pleasing spirit unto Me, you shall observe to offer unto Me in its moed-appointed time.
[03] And you shall say to them, This is the fire-offering which you shall offer unto YHWH: kebashim, sons of a year, perfect-complete: two for a yom, a tamiyd-continual ascending offering.
[04] The one kebesh you shall offer in the morning, and the second kebesh you shall offer between the evenings:
[05] and a minchah-oblation of fine flour, the tenth part of an ephah, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil:
[06] a tamiyd-continual ascending-offering being performed in mount Sinai for a pleasing spirit fire-offering unto YHWH:
[07] and its libation, the fourth part of a hin for the one kebesh, in the holy place shall the libation be poured out full-strength unto YHWH.
[08] And the second kebesh you shall offer between the evenings, according to the minchah-oblation of the morning and according to its libation shall you offer it: a pleasing spirit fire-offering unto YHWH.
[09] And in the yom of the Shabbat, two kebashim, sons of a year, perfect-complete: and the minchah-oblation, two tenths [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with olive-oil, and the libation thereof:
[10] the ascending offering of a Shabbat in its Shabbat, in addition to the tamiyd-continual ascending-offering and its libation.

A pleasing spirit:
ריח ניחחי, that is, reiach nichochi, and reiach is likely just another form of its root, H7306 ruach, which in turn is the same spelling as H7307 ruach without pointing, which is primarily wind, spirit, or breath, and reiach itself is akin to breath, and thus it is used for a scent, smell, or odor.

However even the sages read this word as spirit in the context of the sacrificial commandments, that is, a spirit of satisfaction, which is essentially the same as a pleasing spirit, (or as others say a sweet spirit, but pleasing is probably more correct, and surely we desire to be pleasing to the Father).

Notice that the Father says in verse two above, My korban, My bread for My fire-offering. The bread of the Father is surely not literal lambs, goats, rams, and bullocks: His bread is our prayers offered up as ascending offerings from upon the altar of adamah, which is the altar of the heart, the fire-offering of a pleasing spirit performed in the mountain of your heart, mount Sini, (the mount of Illumination), or Sinai, as even king David says, this Sinai.

Moreover the fruit representing sheep, lambs, and flocks is also a dominator, for it is the grape: and even the wild grape vine is classified as an invasive species, for it will take over the land and dominate, whether flat land or a hillside, which is probably one of the main reasons ancient vineyards were walled in. A wild grape vine will climb up a tree, and depending on the tree, its foliage may overtake the tree and block the sunlight to the leaves of the tree, and can kill the tree. Likewise, as has been said in the previous threads, in reference to figs and pomegranates, the juice or fruit of the vine, that is, of the grape, is called blood in the scripture, (Gen 49:11, Deut 32:14).

Sacred Calendar Day Continual Morning and Evening Ascending Prayer Offerings:

Luke 11:2-4 ~ 1 Father, sanctified-holy is Your name. 2 Your kingdom come. 3 Give us our daily bread according to the yom [each yom-hour]. 4 And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one indebted to us. 5 And bring us not into trial.

1 Praise: Father, sanctified-holy is Your name
2 One lamb: (a prayer of domination), Your kingdom come
3 Minḥah: (flour-bread oblation), Give us our daily bread according to the yom
4 Trespass offering: (or sin offering), Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one indebted to us
5 Libation: And bring us not into trial

Lambs are dominators, the background meaning of the word kebes or kebesh, (Gen 1:28 where the command to subdue is kabash, as shown in the OP), and thus the statement, Your kingdom come, is a prayer of dominion: not our own dominion but the coming of the Kingdom of our Father, (and His Meshiah). All of these statements in a similar way have their meanings which are expounded for us in the scripture.

Continual Shabbat Ascending Prayer Offering

Note how some of the prayer from the Gospel of Matthew contains more: it is doubled up to account for the daily Shabbat hour. Notice also how this version says Give us
this day when it comes to the bread, it is therefore the final prayer for the final yom-hour of the sacred calendar day, the seventh, which is the Shabbat yom-hour of the yom-day.

Matthew 6:9-12 ~ 1 Our Father who is in the heavens, sanctified-holy is Your name. 2 Your kingdom come. Your will be done also upon the earth as it is in heaven. 3 Give us this day our bread of the Presence. 4 And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. 5 And bring us not into trial, but deliver us from the evil: for Yours is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory into the ages. Amen.

1 Praise
2 Two lambs, (dominators)
3 Twofold mincḥah bread of the Presence oblation
4 Trespass-sin offering
5 Twofold libation with another prayer of domination, (a lamb, dominator)

And the prayers of the holy ones ascend before the Most High with incense out of the hand of the Angel of the Altar, (Rev 8:3-5), for it is a fire-offering, offered in mount Sini, as king David says, this Sinai, (Psalm 68:8), and the fire on the altar of the heart shall not be put out.

The first man Adam was taken from the adamah and formed out of dust from the adamah. Adamah is soil, and inward, as in the adamah-soil of the heart in the parable of the sower. Notice in the following two passages, by paying close attention to both contexts, that these two statements are companion passages according to the dual companion passages in which they are found.

Exodus 20:24
[24] An
altar of adamah shall you make unto Me: and you shall sacrifice upon it your ascending-offerings, and your peace offerings of your flock and of your herd: in every place where I record My name I will come unto you, and I will bless you.

And the companion statement:

Deuteronomy 5:29
[29] Oh that there were
such an heart in them to reverence Me, and guard all My commandments all the days, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

The altar of adamah is the altar of the heart.

Houthi's Obtain Hypersonic Missile

Yemen’s Houthi terrorist group has obtained a new hypersonic missile and upgraded its current arsenal with warheads, Russian state media RIA reported on Thursday.

Citing an unnamed Houthi official, the terrorist group told RIA that they had tested a hypersonic missile “with high lethality” and are planning to add it to their arsenal.

“The group’s missile forces have successfully tested a missile that is capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 8,” the official said, adding that the weapon runs on solid fuel; Yemen intends to begin manufacturing it for use during attacks in Krasnoye. Arabian Seas and the Gulf of Aden, as well as against targets in Israel.

Mach 8 is the equivalent of 9878.4 per hour. The US-based Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance categorizes a hypersonic missile as a missile that can “travel faster than Mach 5 [3800mph] and have the capability to maneuver during the entire flight.”

The unnamed official also reportedly claimed that the group had been upgrading their northern-based stock of missiles and drones, modifying them to have explosive warheads.

(OK, where did they get it from? Iran? Russia? Iran does have the Fattah Missile since last year [Farsi for Conqueror] that is hypersonic)

waiting is hard

Halo there,

for severeal years now I get vibrations through my feet when God wants to tell me something in the same moment with visions and thoughts put into my soul. So I did not take it serious at first but than I got it that God got angry about that so I started to obey.

for 16 years now I am in a secret relationship with an christian orthodox monk (we did not get sex yet), he comes to visit me secretly and we just hug and kiss and talk on my couch or I visit him in the monastery. Everytime earlier I spoke about marriage he always said I would demand to much. Until two weeks ago. God sent me signs through my feet and through visions to obey Him and to talk about marriage to my secret monk love again. And this time he did not feel under pressure. In the contrary he asked in every detail how do I expect our life together. And all the time he was playing with his feet with my feet. He did not feel under pressure at all. But there ist this one problem. God told me earlier through his signs that Jesus will come to me in the year 2027. And now God tells an other story of my life. So I am sitting here and waiting if my beloved monk will decide to move into my appartment with me together and to seek marriage at a "protestant"/evangelical church with me together.

Any tips how I can survive this hard time? Are ther other women who are secretly in love with an catholic priest or orthodox monk?

I really do not know if I really have a chance or I made myself stupid again.

Thanks for reeding. Prayers welcome! This is the love of my life! And he also wants children with me together.

Just to bring the Israel/Palestinian war into perspective.

The Palestinians have been offered and rejected a two state solution

isr.jpg

They do not want peace - they want the destruction and elimination of the Jews -

Since its creation in December 1987, Hamas has invoked militant interpretations of Islam to spearhead a Sunni extremist movement committed to destroying Israel
“The state will come from resistance, not negotiation. Liberation first, then statehood. Palestine is ours from the river to the sea and from the south to the north,” he said in a speech. “There will be no concession on any inch of the land. We will never recognize the legitimacy of the Israeli occupation, and therefore there is no legitimacy for Israel… We will free Jerusalem inch by inch, stone by stone. Israel has no right to be in Jerusalem.”

“Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea. (that is the whole of Israel)

They have been offered a two state solution numerous times - always rejected - they don't want compromise - they don't want peace - they want the destruction of Israel.

Pence tells Fox News he ‘cannot in good conscience’ endorse Trump

“Donald Trump is pursuing and articulating an agenda that is at odds with the conservative agenda that we governed on during our four years. That’s why I cannot in good conscience endorse Donald Trump in this campaign,” Pence said on Fox News, in a stunning repudiation of his former running mate.

“As I have watched his candidacy unfold, I’ve seen him walking away from our commitment to confronting the national debt. I’ve seen him starting to shy away from a commitment to the sanctity of human life. And this last week, his reversal on getting tough on China and supporting our administration’s efforts to force a sale of ByteDance’s TikTok,” he added.

Judge Rejects Trump’s Request, Lets Fani Willis Stay

A Georgia judge ruled that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) can remain in former President Trump’s election interference case, rejecting the Trump team’s request to have her removed over her romantic relationship with a subordinate. Yes, but: Only if her ex-lover, special prosecutor Nathan Wade, steps aside. Why?: Judge Scott McAfee decided that Willis’s relationship with Wade was a conflict of interest for the case. One of the two has to leave the case.

I didn't understand how their relationship created a conflict of interest, and I'm glad the judge McAfee rejected Trump's and other lawyers' effort to disqualify her. If the Trump team had succeeded in removing Fani, her disqualification could have seriously farther delayed or even derailed the case against Trump and his co-conspirators.

McAfee said his ruling was based on the law, and to prevent an “appearance of conflict” over potential financial improprieties, that either Willis and her entire office or Nathan Wade must step aside. But said Trump and his allies had failed to sufficiently substantiate claims that Willis’ romantic relationship with Wade had created an “actual” conflict of interest.

After months delay Trump's team did create an embarrassing and damaging side-show for the DA Willis and succeeded in shifting the nation’s attention from Trump’s attempt to steal an election to the relationship between Willis and the special prosecutor.

Good news Fani Willis won the right to stay on Georgia important Trump RICO case.

section 8 housing

I could not decide whether to put this here or in ethics, but how do you feel about the fact that in many places a landlord may (legally) refuse to rent to those who rely on section 8 housing? This is so long as section 8 is the only reason they cannot use section 8 among with a protected class, but they may have a blanket policy to not rent to anyone who relies on a section 8 voucher for rent.

32 Hour Work Week

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Senate Democrats cited advances in artificial intelligence and automation Thursday in their argument for a bill that would mandate a 32-hour federal workweek.

“Despite massive growth in technology and worker productivity, millions of workers in our country are working longer hours for low wages,” Sanders said after gaveling open a hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

“The sad reality is Americans now work more hours than the people of any other wealthy nation,” the committee chair and Vermont independent said later."

Exodus 20:9-11
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Is witchcraft, Voodoo, etc., real?

Yes, they involve evil beings in the spiritual reality.

Does it work every time?

No. Satan is not omnipresent. when someone is practicing witchcraft somewhere on this planet, Satan might not even know about it. His resources are finite. He needs to allocate them effectively. The demons are just not always present when invoked.

Some people are more open to spiritual manipulations than others, e.g., Balaam and the fortune-telling slave girl in Acts 16:16. Others are difficult for demons to penetrate. Though the demons are there, they fail to communicate with the difficult witch.

Satan is not omniscient. When you ask an established witch a question, her associates/evil spirits may not know the answer.

Satan is not omnipotent. The witch and her evil associates can try to make something happen and it doesn't because of circumstances.

Finally, the good spirits may stop the evil spirits. This is spiritual warfare.

Banishing Rituals:

A banishing ritual is often performed at the beginning of a ceremony in order to rid the ritual area of negative or unwanted energy or entities that may interfere with magick or unbalance energies that will be raised or summoned during the ceremony. Most magical paths prescribe a banishing ritual of this type prior to any spellwork or magick of any sort.
That's when the witch wants to get rid of the good guys.

How to get rid of an evil (voodoo) curse?

Proverbs 26:2b

2 Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, a curse that is causeless does not alight.
If you are innocent, the curse will not work.

You have been born of the Spirit/Paraclete. The peace of Jesus dwells in your spirit.

Isaiah 41:

13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Romans 12:

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Luke 6:

35a But love your enemies, and do good.
Romans 12:

19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

Realtor settlement on commission-fixing could create seismic changes in how Americans buy homes

In a sweeping move expected to reduce the cost of buying and selling a home, the National Association of Realtors announced Friday a settlement of landmark antitrust lawsuits by agreeing to pay $418 million in damages and eliminating rules on commissions.

In November, a federal jury in Missouri found the NAR and two brokerages liable for $1.8 billion in damages for conspiring to keep agent commissions artificially high. The NAR had pledged to appeal the case, but other brokerages settled.

This settlement opens the door to a more competitive housing market. Realtors could now compete on commissions, allowing for prospective buyers to shop around on rates before they commit to buying a home.

The beginning of wisdom.

I watched a movie called American Fiction. It made me think about the difference between empathy, sympathy, and personal visceral experience, and that made me think about wisdom in distinction from being learned about a matter, learned yet without personal visceral experience.

The movie is about telling people what it is like to be <substitute a subject here, in the movie the subject was "being black"> in distinction from actually being <same subject here>. And that lead me to think about the gospel.

Our Calvinist brethren like to emphasise God's grace in conversion, while Catholics like to emphasise human choice within the confines of God's grace in conversion. The two are not so different. There are differences, but not the obvious ones. And the Calvinist Vs Catholic perspective on salvation isn't my topic here but it leads to the topic I am addressing. That topic is:
can a person become a Christian without conscious personal visceral experience of grace?
I ask readers to respond prudently.

This land is my land.

There's a deep emotional attachment to Israel as an idea, as the called-out people of God, made incarnate through the act of remembering ancient scriptures in the 20th century and now in the 21st century and substituting the Israelite refugees of Europe's holocaust for the indigenous people of the British protectorate of Palestine. Thus, at its heart Israel is a religious-refuge state - a very poor apology for the holocaust - that has become a vengeful angel against terrible terrorists and millions of ordinary Palestinians.

Christians cannot come to terms with the reality of what is seen and heard in media reports today and the promises of God regarding his covenant people that are read in the Old Testament and echoed in some of the language of the New Testament.

Others, who read the Old Testament scriptures, have therein a rich mine of examples of vengeance meted out against the Canaanites, and by substituting for Canaan the people of the Levant today, easily justify the bloodshed. "Vengeance is Mine says the Lord", some who read those words will place great emphasis on vengeance. A Christian must place great emphasis on the Lord.

(Deuteronomy 32:35 ESV) Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly.'
(Romans 12:19 ESV) Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
(Hebrews 10:30 ESV) For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge his people." (31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

please pray

"No matter what empty promises
Satan makes to the world, in the end,
persecuted Godly people achieve the
victory, whether in or outside prison."

PAKISTAN: Rape Victim Pressured to Drop Charges

Sources: Morning Star News, AGHS Law

A woman is looking down with a sad expression on her face.

Pray for Pakistani women who are constantly under threat.

Two men have been arrested for repeatedly sexually assaulting a Christian woman and blackmailing her after recording the ordeal. The 26-year-old woman, who remains unnamed, has been facing pressure to drop all charges against her assailants.
In September, Shah Hussain, also known as Badshah, borrowed money from the victim's mother. The following month, when the young woman sought repayment on behalf of her mother, Badshah asked her to accompany him to the home of a friend in Rawalpindi, where he claimed they could get the money. There, the friend, Raja Waleed, sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. The ordeal was recorded on his cell phone and Raja threatened to share the videos on social media unless she did what he wanted.
Over the next few months, the young woman was forced to comply with Raja's demands repeatedly. In November, she discovered that she was pregnant, at which point Raja and Badshah attempted to force her to convert to Islam. When she refused, the Christian woman was beaten, resulting in a miscarriage.
Eventually, the victim told her mother what was happening and the two women reported the incident to the police. Charges were filed on February 13th. Yet, instead of arresting the suspects, police tipped them off, allowing the perpetrators to obtain bail. Since that time, the assailants have been threatening the two women. A second case has been filed against the men for their threats, but no charges have been laid.
Unfortunately, the victim has not received the support of the police. In fact, the sub-inspector, Muhammad Mehboob, pressured the believer to withdraw the case. "He has repeatedly said that since I'm a Christian, I don't stand a chance against the powerful criminals," the young victimized woman explained. The officer denied that he favoured the accused men. After his actions were reported to the police chief, a senior officer was assigned to the case.
Forced conversions and sexual assaults against religious minorities are far too common in Pakistan. For more reports on the injustices experienced by Pakistan's Christians, go to our country report.
Pray that God will divinely protect, strengthen and comfort this brave young woman and her mother, providing them both greatly needed ministry, advocacy and support as they seek justice in this legal case. As a result, may justice indeed prevail, so the perpetrators responsible for causing this ordeal will be held accountable for their crimes and reach a point of sincere repentance. Overall, may positive changes take place in Pakistan's legal system – and within the hearts and minds of the authorities enforcing it – ensuring the protection of vulnerable citizens in Pakistan.

REPORT UPDATES

CHINA: Pastor John Cao Released After Seven Years in Prison

Pastor John Cao appears very happy.

Originally from Hunan province, Pastor John Cao is a permanent resident of the United States and also happens to be married to an American citizen. Before his arrest, he served as a missionary in Myanmar's Wa State, building schools and caring for impoverished people in the region. As part of his ministry work, Pastor John frequently crossed the border between China and Myanmar. The Christian leader was able to continue his ministry activities for three years without encountering any problems from the authorities.
However, in March 2017, Chinese officials arrested Pastor John and a colleague of his on charges of illegal border crossings. Although his ministry colleague, Jing Ruxia, served one year in prison, Pastor John was sentenced to seven years. For more details on this case, you can review previously published reports.
After various failed appeals, Pastor John served his full prison term prior to being released on March 4th of this year. Throughout imprisonment, his relationship with the Lord remained strong as expressed in the poetry he regularly wrote. ChinaAid has published a collection of his poems under the title, Living Lyrics: Poems from Prison.
Upon his release, Pastor John was escorted from Yunnan province to Changsha, Hunan. He hopes to soon be reunited with his family in the United States. However, in order to do so, the pastor will need to obtain travel documents which may be purposely delayed by officials. Local police in Changsha have disclosed that they intend to supervise and "educate" him for five years.
ChinaAid recently released the content of an audio testimony Pastor John gave after his release. He started by proclaiming: "I have been separated from you all for seven years, but these seven years have been filled with joy, filled with God's grace, and everyday God's special presence has been with me." To read a transcript of Pastor John's testimony, go to VOMCanada.com/cao-testimony.
Praise God for the joy and peace Pastor John experienced over the past seven years, despite his incarceration. Pray that this faithful Christian leader will receive renewed strength and determination to continue living his life in dedicated service to the Lord. May Pastor John be able to obtain the necessary travel documentation without any delay so he can finally be reunited with his long-suffering family in the United States. Furthermore, pray that God will ensure the continuation of the humanitarian work near the China and Myanmar border, as well as the ministry that took place in the lives of the prisoners and guards who were touched by the love of Christ while Pastor John was in custody.

Pastor Youssef Ourahmane serves as the vice president of the Église Protestante d'Algérie (EPA). Following a three-day gathering with a few Christian families in March 2023, he was charged with organizing an unauthorized religious assembly. In September, the pastor was sentenced to two years in prison, along with a fine. During an appeal hearing in November, the court ruled to uphold the verdict, but reduced the Christian leader's sentence to one year.
The latest appeal hearing for Pastor Youssef has now been scheduled for March 26th. The church in Algeria has requested prayer for him, in hopes that there will be a favourable result from this upcoming hearing. For more information on Pastor Youssef's case, previously published reports are available at our country report.
Please continue to remember Pastor Youssef in your prayers. Ask the Lord to stir the hearts of the court officials so that they would rule fairly during the scheduled hearing – ultimately leading to a favourable outcome for the imprisoned Christian leader. Also prayerfully uphold the many other Christians throughout Algeria who have been facing harassment and church closures in recent years. May God sustain each one of these persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ with ongoing encouragement, wisdom and strength, in addition to providing for their specific individual spiritual and physical needs.

Ocasio-Cortez blasts CNN analyst for calling Omar PR agent for Hamas

Her post came in response to a clip of Republican strategist Scott Jennings on CNN’s “NewsNight” in which he said he is “surprised, that in the year of our Lord 2024, there is a public relations agent for Hamas sitting in the United States Congress,” in response to an earlier interview with Omar.
