I don't subscribe to the theory that Christ made any human the head administrator of a worldwide church organization, but neither do I think it helps anything -- and least of all this discussion -- to pretend that when a Catholic talks about the Pope being the head of the church, he means anything more than as the chief administrator of Christ's church here and now. ALL Christians believe that Christ is the "head" of the church in the ultimate sense.

Actually, what it means is that He is Christ's representative on earth, which is error. Believers are His representatives on earth.

I wasn't always a Catholic, you know. I'm a convert. I used to be evangelical. I grew up fundamentalist. I became a Catholic when I realized that the Church had authority, i.e. it was the Church that gave us the Bible.

The three Persons do not all have the same functions, ma'am. The Father has functions, the Son has functions, the Holy Spirit has functions.
