If circumstances are that a believer is in a crowd of another tongue, God is either going to give the gift of the language to the speaker, or the gift of hearing it in their own language as the listener. But once either party can understand each other .. it is back to normal ..

The gift of tongues has never been the evidence of the Holy Spirit at work.

There's no casual about it. I've been deceived by it all before and won't be ever again. There's a place and a time for all of His gifts and His Spirit will tell you when you're there. And a prophecy that is truly of Him won't need to be so ambiguous, it will be succinct, direct and to the point. That prophecy was simply a "safe" wannabe. Sorry, but that's what it was, nothing more. Study biblical prophecy and you'll see what I'm saying is true. God given prophecy can be nailed down to specifics.

It is not the method, it is the result... There is no doubt God communicates with man. .. what is doubtful is in this case... it didn't bring them further into the walk.. but kept them to focus on the "gift" itself like it is the end all be all.

Actually Mrs. Burris is one of the most active Christians on several Facebook groups that are highly encouraging and I am sure that she receives little or no recognition from any pastors in her area???!!

She is obviously attempting to go through doors that are open for her though....which sure sounds like a good idea to me.....

For the record....I have ran into what I consider to a seriously misguided gifted woman. In my opinion she has a calling on her life similar to Joyce Meyer...but for the moment...she is so messed up with anger/bitterness that her gifts are twisted...so I do understand your skepticism....but we have to be careful to not:.......assume that gifts that were obviously active during the time of the former harvest...might not be active again during the time of the latter harvest.......

OK, Yedida that does help to explain things but.....if Satan has managed to get you to a place where you are almost certain that all prophecies...even ones from God....are just by psychics seeking money.....then Satan has managed to achieve his objective in a sense hasn't he????

Nope. Satan has very little power when dealing with the King's kids, and he knows it. That's why he can go this route. There are so many who are easily awed into a wrong belief. Be wary, Dennis, lest you fall sway to him.

The woman from Ecuador who gave me the prophecy in both Spanish and English in post six on this page is astonishingly zealous, she came over to the Messianic Jewish movement since meeting me in 2001 and her gifts came into existence after she had a brush with death. Even Paul seems to have had more gifts after what may have been his NDE after being stoned and presumed dead??!!

I have read and re-read this prophecy over ten times and prayed about it a lot....still it was only in December that I finally noticed that I personally was now responsible to pray for the peace of Quito, much as all Christians and Messianic believers are responsible to pray for the peace of Jerusalem!!!!

HaSatan outside of me....is not as scary as what is left of him inside of me!!!

Many Messianic Jews and Christians have gotten into a great deal of fear regarding how various groups might persecute us.....our greatest fear should perhaps be that when Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua gives us even greater wealth and authority of various types...that WE would become persecutors of groups that we view in a very different manner than God would have us think toward them!!!


If Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua were here at this time....would many of his sentences or paragraphs toward the Gay community resemble what Pastor John Hagee and some Messianic teachers write or speak?????!!!

I think that another similar gift is the ability to place ourselves in the type of situation or sin that somebody else is in. Can I visualize that if I had been born into the same situation as a Palestinian...that I also might have taught my children to hate??????!!!

My answer to that question is that yes...if I had been born as a member of the Palestinian community my sense of values could be radically different than how I think as a Canadian!!!!

Once we have this type of empathy we can pray for the peace of Jerusalem with an entirely different level of fervour!

A Dr. Masaru Emoto has done amazing research on the effect that various words and music can have on frozen water crystals as seen under a microscope!

I have the impression that it is this Prophecy of the Popes that was given somewhere around the 12th century???!!

I personally consider this prophecy interesting because it may imply the adoption of something along the two Apostle system as done in the first century when Cephas/Peter handled taking the gospel to the Jewish community....and Paul was in charge of taking the gospel to the Gentiles!

But you'll never know, this side of eternity, what he did with his last breath. I've had people who were very critical that I do funeral services for people who are NOT believers - my answer is that we do not know they are non-believers. Their last breath may have been used to give themselves to Yeshua.
