There is a special call to be there within the feasts.. and only three, which Yom Kippur is not one of them. Strange to my way of thinking since it is so significant in the process of separating us from sin. The first feast to be there for is Passover, which I understand because everyone needs to be there for the Lamb of God. The second time is Pentecost, which makes sense because that is when we receive the Holy Spirit in larger measure. The final time is Sukkot, which makes sense only because it is the second coming, and we need to be there for that.
Visionary....... do you think that I am way, way, way off to strongly suspect that the Apostle Paul was questioning if there could perhaps have been off the scale hidden meaning in the 'goat for Azazel" of Yom Kippur for each Christian????
Rom 9:3 "For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:"
You see.... within a few months of my dad's death on January 1, 1990...... I prayed in a manner that I know was dangerous.........
and I suspect that over thirty nine Jubilees ago...... the Apostle Paul was wrestling with similar questions to what I began getting into back in 1990??????
My conversation with the Rabbi.....
"but the goat on which the lot fell for Aza'zel shall be presented alive before the LORD
to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness
to Aza'zel." (Leviticus 16:10)
