Which law? The sane, rational and perfect "law" (Torah/teaching) of God or the law and traditions of men?
Doveaman, the NT says nothing about me being allowed to marry my sister. Can I? Is that wise? If not, where would I learn about such a thing?

It is the law letter of ten commandments.
From the law of the Spirit, not of the letter.
There is no command against marrying your sister in the law letter of ten commandments.

Oh, stop Stryder! Haven't you heard? We're not under the law, we're under grace!? As long as we claim Jesus died on the cross we are free to do whatever we want just so long as we "think" we are being led by the "spirit."
Jim Jones? Led by the spirit. David Koresh? Led by the spirit. We should never ask which "spirit" unless we have a can opener.
So, if one is compelled by the "spirit" to say marry their sister then the sense of the law be damned.....
Ah, but apparently "society" sees the usefulness of such a law. Or, maybe not. I mean if "society" judges that men should marry men what "Bible" truths do the "Bible thumpers" choose to stand on? OT or New?
New? Then I can marry my sister or a dog, but not a man. Consistency is not an option.

Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise...But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations.
His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility... Eph 2:12-16.

It is such a shame that you have no more basic knowledge of the "law" than to think outside of the box in terms of what is meant.
Tell me Doveaman where does the Torah specifically state that a "Jew" (sic) cannot associate with a gentile?
BTW, did you know Caleb means "dog?"
Mat 15:26 But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs. Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Even Jesus got in the act of calling the "gentiles" dogs.......

The simple fact is that if the Ten Commandments were really the "word of God" they should transcend time and space. I mean how could anyone argue that the word of an omniscient God is somehow irrelevent or that it does not apply to our time?

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant- — not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory...will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?...2 Cor 3:6-8.

If ones understanding of basic truth is flawed then knowing the title of many books isnt going to clear up that misunderstanding.
What is needed is the TRUTH, because, contrary to what you may think, it is the TRUTH that reveals Scripture, and not just Scripture that reveals truth.
You would do well to fully embrace that TRUTH so as not to be blinded by so many books.
You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life...John 5:39-40.
It isn't that I don't believe you have come to Christ, it's just that you will not have the complete freedom of the life He offers if you are stuck in ten commandments.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery...Gal 5:1.
