When you look back at the OT Jezebel, and know what the mystery religion of Babylon was, you can plainly see who this is talking about.
Jezebel took her neighbors garden, this was no small matter, that was how they fed their family. The prophet Elijah who ushered in the prophetic age judged her and she was eaten by dogs. Baal worship was everywhere and when the prophets of Baal were slaughtered Elijah had to flee. Point being in Thyatira they only had a few who remained unstained but God can do a lot with a hand full of sanctified believers. I assume this was an actual person so the faithful have already confronted her. Jesus says he gave het time to repent which sounds like a prophetic message.

A movie? Are you saying that to be provoking? Again, medication is not the ONLY use for Myrrh. Did you read of any illness Jesus had? Did you read of His death? Which one applies?

No I actually saw that said in one of those movies. Gold for king, Frankincense for Priest and Myrrh for burial. It does not say anything about that in Scripture. My point was that Myrrh had many uses, not just as a burial ointment.

Finally, you agreed that it was also a burial ointment, and not JUST medication.

I was wondering if the 7 churches that were addressed in Revelation correlated to 7 denominations of faith of today and if so which ones.
They were seven real churches that had six real problems, except the one faithful church. These problems are temptations that all churches have, and sometimes succumb to. You have to ask yourself, "Does the shoe fit?" There are in every age many churches that are like each of the seven churches.

I would hesitate to put the labels on denominations, because the churches within denominations are different from one another.

There is also the obvious temptation to say that one's own church or denomination is the faithful church. So be careful!

It's about a collective profile, of course, in local churches. But of course an application to the individual can be made also.

Agreed and we may change our church occasionally

I strongly recommend
61lIZ79YQ4L._SX345_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg
https://www.amazon.com/Revelation-P...s=revelation+four+views+a+parallel+commentary for a study on the seven churches and indeed on any topic of Revelation.

Me personally? I can't accept an interpretation that the seven churches are historical time periods. They were seven literal churches. Any church can be more or less like any of those seven literal churches.

The word--church-- was not in existence when the bible was written. It is a mistranslated word-- Congregation is the correct meaning of that translated word.
Jesus spoke to 7 congregations of the one single religion he began( 1Cor 1:10)

There are a few online sites that explain the letters to the 7 churches ; some of them would probably give you a better understanding ...
but no, they don't have any relation to denominations today.

Revelation is all about these last days. So yes those 7 congregations are here today.

Well, no, actually.

Parts of Revelation (e.g. Satan being cast out of Heaven in Revelation 12:7-9) have already happened.

And the "seven churches in the province of Asia" were seven specific churches in the Roman province of Asia. Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea were real places.

Yes the war in heaven was 1914( Rev 6). All who lived prior to these last days have died and paid in full the wages of sin. Those living NOW best heed the warnings Jesus gave to those 7 congregations.
Many are sitting on the fence--Jesus said he will vomit them out--yet men with white collars on are assuring all of them--you are saved or born again= pure lie.

If the word church was not yet in existence (English was not yet around) what does that have to do with whether it is a mistranslation or not?

God left the door open to Israel. It is they who have outright refused to do verse 39 here-Matt 23:37-39--otherwise they are cut off.
There are many mistranslated errors and alterations in every trinity bible in existence--that is proven fact.

What makes you think 1914 has anything to do with Revelation 6? Such a statement needs clarifying. :)

First ride of the white horse( righteous war)= the war in heaven at Rev 6-- Michael took that ride, but notice--he receives his crown( only Jesus is getting the crown, proving Michael is Jesus.) Michael defeated satan and his angels and cast them to the earth, never allowed back in heaven. Satan came as a devouring lion, angry, knowing his time is short. thus--ww1--mens hearts filled with hatred all over the earth, millions slaughtered--after ww1 millions upon millions died from the filth of slaughtering one another, diseases, starvation, etc--the other 3 riders.

Nothing about WWI was a righteous war.

No, Scripture explains Scripture. The rider of the white horse is the Antichrist. He only appears to be good/white horse. Check out Matthew 24. The four horses are described in order and corresponds to Revelation 6. See here:

White horse -THE CONQUEROR Rev. 6:1-2
Mt. 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

Red horse - CONFLICT ON EARTH Rev. 6:3-4
Mt. 24:6-7a And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Black horse - SCARCITY ON EARTH Rev. 6:5-6
Mt. 24:7b-8 And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Pale horse - WIDESPREAD DEATH Rev. 6:7-8
Mt. 24:9-10 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

Every scholar on earth knows there are two rides of the white horse in revelation-- The war in heaven with this result-Rev 6, and Har-mageddon with this result( Daniel 2:44)---White = righteous in the bible. Jesus has been ruling heaven since 1914--he comes to the earth at Har-mageddon-- Jesus is Gods exact image--God showed all in the OT he isn't fooling around.
