Sure thing!

It's totally possible that they were seven dioceses that existed in Asia Minor at the time Revelation (no "s") was written. And Our Lord had some things to say to them.

Ephesus and it's satellite churches was the fastest growing body of believers in the Mediterranean basin in the first century. The Orthodox established some four main centers while the Roman church was still running around the catacombs, especially after the Jews were expelled. It was the heart of the mission to the Gentiles. And BTW, 'Apocalypsis' can be is the Greek word translated 'Revelation' and it can be either singular of plural depending on the context. I like the plural because I don't like confusing the book with the doctrine of revelation.
