Great idea! You and your fundamentalist kind, please just focus on your impending journey to heaven, and us rational non-believers and believers (you must remember the majority of christians don't believe in the rapture) alike will govern this world as best we can.

All Christians believe that Jesus will return and that we will be with Him. While on earth, some Christians have feet, and a vote, and maybe even some cash in some cases. It would suit me fine if there were whole sheaths and states full of just your kind. It would make things easier. Funny, that is precisely what God is waiting for, a harvest.

Oh and don't worry, we want this world to thrive and survive, so you will all be safe while you are waiting for your saviour.

I'm not sure if global warming exists or not, but Al Gore seems to think it does. He's probably right though, cause it would fit in with the bible. The rapture is coming. We shouldn't worry tho because Jesus is going to take all the believers to heaven. Why can't science understand this? It don't matter if the planet dies because there will be noone left on it!

First of all you have to understand that Science deals with the physical world while religion is purely faith based.
Secondly what Al Gore believes is irrelevant to science. Global warming is a climate change and this is the norm for planet Earth. What scientists and Al Gore are saying is that human activity has influenced the degree of change both in severity and speed.

Hurricanes need energy in order to exist and they take this energy in the form of heat from the oceans. The warmer the climate the stronger the hurricanes will be and I need not remind you how devastating a force 5 hurricane will be if one were to reach New York!

If you believe in the rapture then it is your personal choice, but I and Billions of others do not share your death wish and subsequently care what happens to this planet.

The Red Scare, then overcrowding & depletion of planetary resources, then radon gas in the basement, asbestos in the attic and lead paint in between, now global warming.

Throw in a few Hale Bopps, a couple El Niños, some earth yanking syzygies, and an LIA for good measure, and who gives a Y2K?
