WHY WAS ADAM NOT MENTIONED IN HEB 11:4 ?

Hi to all and I heard a message last month and he wondered why Adam was not mention in Heb 11:4 , which began with Abel ??

WHY , and I have a view , so what say you ??

Hi Dan, I've never thought about it before, but I don't believe Adam is mentioned in Hebrews 11 because that chapter is filled with examples of men and women who were faithful to God.

Hi and Saturday , I will say why Adam was faithful and read Gen 3:21 I believe will answer it !!

Hi and many say that the reason Adam is not mentioned is because Adam was not faithful or had no faith !!

In Heb 11:4 it reads " BY FAITH "

In Gen 3:21 it reads , Unto Adam and to his wife did the Lord make COATS of SKINS and clothed them !!

The covering of SKINS is the first time that the BEGINNING OF ATONEMENT !!

ATONEMENT here , means their SINS were covered and Adam and Eve were save !!

We see that Adam did not walk by FAITH , Adam WALKED BY SIGHT !!
