On the point of the seals of Revelation 6...they lay out nicely with Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13, which are all the Olivet discourse with differing detail:
Here's how I believe they go:
The first seal, Revelation 6:1, 2:
Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, Come.
2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
The first seal is the Lord Jesus who conquered sin and death on the cross, and leads His church to conquer! I correlate that to what the apostle Paul said of Christ and the church in Romans 8:37, 38
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The second seal, Rev 6:4, 5:
3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come.
4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
The second seal is war correlating to Matthew 24:6
6 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
The 2nd seal indicates the wars of the world throughout time as peace was taken from the earth. We will have war until Christ returns.
The third seal, Rev 6:5. 6:
5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come. I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.
The third seal correlates to famines throughout time as Jesus in Matthew 24:7:
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.
There have been numerous periods of famines throughout history also.
The fourth seal, Rev 6:7, 8:
7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come.
8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
The fourth seal correlates to death by pestilences, and famines as we learn Jesus stated in Luke's account, Luke 21:11
11and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
The fourth seal accounts for the earthquakes, plagues of disease, as well as unexplained things we see in heaven.
The fifth seal, Rev 6:9-11:
9 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;
10 and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?
11And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.
These are Christian martyrs of the apostles and the early church. Jesus indicated this in Luke 21:12-19:
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My names sake.
13 It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony.
14 So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves;
15 for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.
16But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death,
17 and you will be hated by all because of My name.
18 Yet not a hair of your head will perish.
19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.
The example for us is the apostles and those of the early church...Stephen, James, Peter, Paul, and many others.
The sixth seal, Rev 6:12-17
12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;
16 and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?
This correlates to Israel/Jerusalem's destruction as well as the temple. The language correlates to Luke 21:21-28:
20 But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near.
21 Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city;
22 because these are days of vengeance, so that all things which are written will be fulfilled.
23 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people;
24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25 There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
This was Jesus' Judgement on Israel/Jerusalem! When the apostles saw Jerusalem surrounded by armies, they would know it was time to flee Judea to the mountains. The apostles and the those Christian in Jerusalem did flee. Jerusalem was destroyed and the temple also.
The time now is "until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled"...Gentile Christians are being saved! The time of God turning to the Jews and opening them to salvation is coming...but until then only a remnant of Jews are being saved...that is Romans 11!!!
The seals have been opened!!!
That's how I see it at this time from my study...but I continue to study this, and I hope you do too!
