I have seen that many people still believe that the OLD COVENANT is still in EFFECT !
I think because they confuse the covenant of circumcision as equal to the covenant made 430 later, the Mosaic covenant. The covenant of circumcision is still in effect, but in the flesh only it is not eternal, but earthly.

Do you sing them, as did the early church?
We have written portions of the Psalms into praise and worship choruses. I like Psalms 100 and Psalms 48.

Psalms 48
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth,
is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

Psalms 100
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD,
all ye all ye lands
Serve the LORD the Lord with gladness
come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us,
and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him,
and bless his name.

For the LORD the Lord is good;
his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth his truth endureth
to all generations.

That is good. Would you be interested in using a complete book of all 150 of the Psalms set to hymn tunes for regular congregational singing?

If CIRCMCISION is still
What about it?
That error was dealt with in the council there.

The text states no such thing.

I say "Read the texts again."
I rear it again , so what are you thoughts as ton what Gal 12:14 than mean , and in verse 13 Paul calls Peter a HPYOCRATE .

WHAT say you ??

Okay. . .Peter the Christian Jew lived like a Gentile, not following Jewish dietary customs and eating with Gentiles.
But when the Judaizing delegation from Jerusalem arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of the circumcision group. That caused other Christian Jews to do the same, including Barnabas.
Paul confronted Peter on the issue with the fact that as a Christian, he lived like a Gentile, not following Jewish dietary customs.
So why was he now being a hypocrite by requiring Gentiles to follow Jewish dietary customs?

The "Old Covenant" is the Mosaic covenant, not the Noahic covenant.
Still one of the old covenants out there that is in effect.
So would that not indicate that the principle of covenants being long term(eternal) is valid?

And the Greek word CHRISTIAN / CHRISTIANOS , just means FOLLOWER of CHRIST and first called CHRISTIANOS from where we get the word CHRISTIAN , in Acts 11:26 and in 1 PETER 4:16 .

Also in Gall 2:11 HAVING BEEN CONDEMNED / KATAGINOSKO is a Greek word in the Greek PERFECT TENSE , PASSIVE VOICE and is PARTICIPLE .

The PERFECT TENSE means that PETER was CONDEMNED from Christ from than ON , PERIOD !!

The reason to believe that the Mosaic Covenant is still in effect is because Exodus 33:14-17 and Leviticus 24:8 say that it is eternal. The New Covenant is based on better promises and one of those promises is that Israel will never cease to be a nation before God,
Where is this promise in the New Covenant?

There is no principle regarding all covenants. Each was given on its own terms.

KATA (to know something against) GINOSKO (to know by experience) = to think ill of (to condemn)

That is some seriously whacky Biblical error. . .it means no such thing.

Paul did not condemn Peter. . .Peter "stood condemned". . .self-condemned (self-blamed), by his own conscience, and in the sight of others; self-condemnation (1 Jn 3:20, 21)

I don't think the terms are what make the covenant lasting. More to do with the persons making the covenant. God is eternal so why would His promises not be?

Jeremiah 31:35-37.
That is not a principle regarding covenants.

"Only if. . .will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me." (Jer 31:35-37)

First of all, that is a promise of descendants, not nationhood.

And secondly, in the light of the NT apostolic teaching, authoritative to the church (Lk 10:16), we learn in Gal 3:28-29 that the NT descendants of Israel are neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all are one in Christ. If you belong to Christ, then you are descendant of Abraham and heirs according to the promise.

There is no promise of the nationhood of Israel.

Because some covenants of the eternal God are conditional (e.g., Ge 17, Ex 19-24), not eternal.
They terminate when the conditions are violated.
