Actually Santa in this case seems to be based on Saint Nicholas. The story is that he was a Bishop in charge of the childrens orphanage. He had a habit of giving the children a little gift that he would put in their stocking. Perhaps a bit of fruit or favored food. Perhaps that was to encourge them to wash their socks and hang them by the fire at night. As the story goes if they had been naughty then he would put a peice of coal in their stocking that they would thrown into the fire. This was symbolic of our sin before God and how we can be cleansed of that sin.

We pretty much see that every day on here don't we. They deny that the real person exists and insist that it is all a myth. Of course the story they tell is a myth or strawman. Can I ask why you so seldom actually engage in the conversation? One-liners are nice and all, but if that's all you have, what is the value?

Does it give you pleasure? That's nice and all, but what part of "human interaction" does this fulfill? Conversations are two-way, not just streams of questions from one side with the occasional counterpoint.

What I find most fascinating is that you seem to acquiesce that others are indeed treating you like a bot, and the only thing you do is come back with another one liner. The only thing I saw of yours that was more than a sentence or two was a post earlier about this, but for the most part your posts are one-liners in response to people's comment that you sound like a bot generating one-liners.

Does it not seem to you that an appropriate response would be a...oh, who knows...meaningful engagement of the point?

I am against home schooling in general. People tend not to learn the social skills that you get from being a part of a school system. Although I hated public school. Private school was ok, but it can be expensive.
