I don't know! I don't give jack! All I want is to keep people from being murdered! And besides, you can easily forget to put the safety on and pull the trigger by accident.

Yes, that would be called an accident. Those happen with pretty much everything we have in this life, including cars. How do you propose we stop all these car accidents that take far more lives than guns do?

I never said we should do nothing. All I've said is that what you want to do doesn't work.

Yes, I feel for them. It is a great tragedy for them. Now, what do you want me to do?

This is not a tragedy. A tragedy is an accident. This was a calculated, premeditated plan by someone who clearly is just a sadist and has no regard for human life.

You seem to think that the number of guns will be constant no matter what the laws are, and you seem to think people will brandish them as freely no matter what the laws are, and that doesn't make sense.
It does not deal, however, with the plain fact that hardened criminals tend to ignore the law anyway.

What about the laws and regulations not being enforced enough? People may kill people, but people also usually use tools to kill people.

They were literally handed weapons in high school, but nobody shot each other. The laws have, if anything, become more strict. What changed: the guns, or the people?

Revoke the licenses of people who have anger issues or mobility issues or alcohol issues.

Yes, people kill people, but people also regularly use TOOLS to kill those people!

And, when my dad was in high school, the same tools were available, to the point that the schools were literally handing them the tools. But they were not shooting each other. That started when I was in high school.

Which changed: the tools, or the people?

All weapons are "killing machines." Have you ever watched "The Rifleman?" At the beginning of each show the star, Chuck Connors, walks down a street firing a lever action Winchester, which was invented in 1866, as fast as any semiautomatic. Everything else that you proposed above is already in effect. I have owned guns since 1955 I now own three guns, one since '59, one since '66 and one since '16. None of them have ever gone on a killing spree.
.....I served 2 tours in Vietnam. I was shot down 5 times wounded once. See my 911 '68 picture below. Yes I know how deadly firearms are. I have seen first hand what a oppressive government does to unarmed citizens.

People will always want to kill people, no matter the time period. The question is how do we keep it low?

Really? Because the students were not killing each other when my dad was in high school, even though they had the tools. What changed?

Look up the Valentine's Day massacre in the prohibition era. What's changed? NOTHING!

Teach society better ways to handle frustration.
We have a lot of tools in that area.
It's all about society not haveing outlets and
control over their own lives.

When you give people options, they will make
better choices. Killing others, they think, is their
last resort.

Bottomline, this is all outrageous and disgusting. All of us, liberals, conservatives, Christians, Atheists, whatever! We all need to start sending demands our police and politicians and gun manufacturers, "DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!"

Well, Don't blame the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA, and I don't own a gun. But blaming the NRA is pointless. While they are contributors to the Republican campaigns, they don't have the political clout that many people think they have. Planned Barrenhood contributes much more to politics than the NRA.

That was not a school shooting. The first high school mass shooting like this was Columbine in the 1990's. They did not have those in my dad's era. What changed?

Australia really put a lockdown on gun distribution and gun violence has gone down dramatically.

So do prisons. And yet, I wouldn't want to live in one.
