I would think it was a date. It seems like he is making a point of asking you to spend time with him apart from the group. Otherwise, he could just plan a group activity with all of you. I could see that it might not be a date, but more of a friendship outing if you both shared the same interest and he happened to have tickets to something you both liked (like a sports event for example) and asked you to go along. A dinner invitation suggests a date to me.

I had mentioned a while back that I really want to try Nashville hot chicken but I can never find a vegetarian version. He found a truck that makes it. He had asked me to go previously and we got snowed out, so this was a reschedule.

Seems like a friendly thing generally but usually when we get food we invite the whole group. The fact he has just been inviting me to this makes me curious… but not curious enough to straight up ask.. lol

You can go on and on about why you believe the way you do, you can rant and rave about how wrong and ignorant you think everyone who disagrees with you is, but it won't do you any good. No one is going to change their mind because of it. The only thing you'll accomplish is hurting people and making them mad at you.

Glad you had fun, but the heart is a tricky situation. Time and communication will reveal. The hardest part is timing.

@DragonFox91 I just got an idea that may help you with the Christian decor you were looking for and there's a lack for men. Have you considered Etsy? I think there's a lot more unique things. Stickers are also an option, do a search and you could dress up notebooks, work gear, drinking bottle, laptop and such with them.
Also could be a witness.

I've been living with an anxiety disorder for more than half my life. My prayers are with you.

Try to change your diet.

I don't think that is necessarily the answer to an anxiety disorder. It's more complex than that, in my opinion.
