Hey guys I need some advice from some people who've been on the website a while. This might be the wrong thread but I'm not sure where else to stick it. I made a new thread in the hopes that it would edify some people and provide genuine discourse but I'm at the point where I begin to start rephrasing and restating the points made in the thread over and over because people are missing them, are not seeing the issues with their own arguments or don't understand because I phrased and structured it poorly. I thought I had the mental capacity to keep it up but I honestly am so drained from doing it and it requires so much time to carefully think through each individuals arguments and respond not only Biblically but Philosophically (philosophy subject to Scripture though).
I had this same problem before with the old thread on the same topic I made and I don't know why I thought this one would be different. Would it be considered wrong or rude to abandon the thread early into it's creation? I feel like I've made all the points I can and everything else would just be a re-iteration of the same points made because no new arguments are being presented and I know for a fact from the last thread that it's only going to be this way if I do continue to respond. This is the thread:
Establishing Secular Morality. Be aware that it does discuss some pretty heavy moral issues so if you've been impacted by evil in the past and don't want to think about it right now it might be best to avoid it.
If it's your guys opinion that I should continue to respond as best I can then please be honest with me and I would be more than happy to put more time into it. We're called to be able to give a defense for our faith (1 Peter 3:15) so I treat this pretty seriously, for if it even effects one soul in the future it might have eternal repercussions. If you don't feel like giving your advice publicly please feel free to message me. I would appreciate all of the points of view/perspectives I can get. Also
please don't be put off by the nature of the thread and feel like you can't give advice. The Holy Spirit speaks through the illiterate all the way to the most erudite scholar, so your opinion is really important. Just think of the background of the Disciples. God bless
