Thank you! It's still below zero. I stepped outside for a quick bit to unplug the Christmas lights. Today will be day 3, hoping that I won't have to do cleanup on Christmas. The roads are packed ice!

One positive for plowing these last couple days, is I haven't heard anybody yelling or making snarky remarks on the radio towards me. The queen bee also has been friendly towards me, which it's been some years since she's talked to me. I am still very cautious after what she did last summer in a restaurant.
Focusing on the birth of christ! When I get home tonight I plan to set my Nativity up.

I saw my first eagle snow plowing today. My mom verified that there is one in the area that I saw it. It was flying away from a field as I drove by. It makes for a nice Christmas Eve memory.

Going into a gas station. A gal asked me if I was keeping warm. I said trying to! She said, your face is so red. I said it's probably the last two nights from the winds. She laughed and said it looks like you've been skiing. And then she said bless her heart! She also thanks me for what I do. It's moments like that make up for the drivers that blind me at night with their brights.

My favorite YouTuber, Jenna Marbles, got married last month. It’s the first pictures I’ve seen of her since she left the Internet for her mental health like 2 years ago. She looked so radiant and happy- it really makes me wonder if I wouldn’t do better if I was less involved in the Internet/social media. I still want Facebook and Instagram to stay connected/plan things… but I need to figure out a resolution that drastically decreases my screen time.

May I ask how many different social media sites you have accounts with? You might just have too many.

I wonder if, to celebrate the day in any way I can tomorrow considering I must work, I should try to find the Bill Murray Christmas classic Scrooged on TV tomorrow when I get home. Surely Netflix or Amazon Prime will have it available, right? It's almost as classic a holiday film as A Christmas Story. ^_^

I mean, come on, can you go wrong with a Christmas movie in which Carol Kane dressed as a fairy uppercuts a guy with a toaster?

Tonight's Christmas Eve service of lessons and carols was really special. My heart has been full all day; very grateful.

Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat… definitely a lot. I think the biggest thing is the scrolling through stuff that doesn’t matter. I spend so much time just scrolling through silly memes on Instagram or watching Facebook shorts. I like all of the platforms for a reason, but I think I need to limit my use of them.

Made it home day 3 snowplowing. Back again tomorrow morning. Physically this felt almost the worst I can remember in 20 winters with headache, blinding lights, nauseousness, emotional and difficulty breathing at one point. 23,000 steps today.

My Nativity will have to wait till tomorrow evening. I had a little moment of crying as I passed a church that was packed full with cars outside. I just thought to myself, maybe Lord someday I won't have this commitment.

I am sorry to hear that:( I saw all your nice decorations in the Christmas thread. I think you can definitely make up for it the rest of the holiday. Technically, today is the first day of Christmas. You have 11 more:)

@YankeeGirl your right but timewise it seems futile with trying to catch up on rest and moving forward with the other things that I have to do. I'm just lucky that I've had other Christmases in the past. I have a couple visits that I will move to later dates. I have next year for decorations

Every time you get in and out of the loader. Dumping the salt from the bed in the salt down. Every time walking into the gas station and back for a break. Walking around the truck to check the blade clear off the lights in the back clear off the chute and the spinner. Climbing up and down the ladder to check inside the bed for the salt. Fueling. There is plenty of walking.

Boogles my mind to think that you walked nearly 11 miles just doing those simple repetitive actions.o_O

@J Mick it's possible that the watch might have some kind of error because of the bumping action of the truck. But it definitely is active. I get 2,000 plus snow blowing my drive.

It's really hard to do. I've gotten sucked into Instagram before with a reals. Same thing with Facebook, there are stories that just suck you in that have nothing to do with your friends. I have to take total breaks where I don't look at it at all. The first 48 hours is the worst. I've tried the time limit on the cell phone and it just doesn't work.

I've been on break from Facebook and Instagram since the middle of november. I'm posted an announcement that it wouldn't be till Christmas. I probably will wait longer possibly just because I'll be snow plowing tomorrow and I need to be sure to get rest.

A friend sent this to me today about the eagle that I saw flying on Christmas Eve.

The bald and gold eagles "represent honesty, truth, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom. As they roam the sky, they are believed to have a special connection to God."

The internet can be a comfortable place for autistic folks but it can also be one of the worst places. I understand we can be difficult and can come off strong or harsh (not always intentional), but it seems like no one has the time/patience/interest and bridges are burnt, fields of friendship salted with Block or Ignore to forestall further interaction. Most of the time it seems easier to disavow online friendships altogether, knowing this regrettable tendency of online interaction; and usually being alone and solitary doesn't bother me, but sometimes it stings. I'd wish to pass away reconciled with anyone with whom I had grievances.
