I’m not handy at all. People say you can volunteer & they’ll teach you, watch & learn how to do it, or take classes. I’ve done all 3 & they’re all disasters. They just hand you the tools & say 'Have at it!' I literally need someone to sit down w/ me & assist me like I’m a 5-year-old on how to do it. Just not skills I have!

Prayers are appreciated. I'm nervous for my first call out with a snowstorm. Mix of rain and snow tomorrow. Friday 50 to 60 mile winds and blizzard conditions with drifting. Switching up to Sub-Zero temperatures. And Saturday I'm sure will be clean up possibly with packed ice because of the Sub-Zero temperatures. Total possible Thursday to Sunday 1 to 2 ft. snow

They are also talking about possible electrical outages that will happen. I don't have a generator, so it will be interesting. My folks do but I'm sure they won't be clearing their drive as my step dad just got knee surgery.

Prayers greatly appreciated not just for my safety and the safety of others but also those that I will be working with. My witness, clarity of mine in challenging circumstances and it being the one that flies under the radar.

I have adjusted my plans for Christmas and deliveries of cookies at a later date. Prayers also appreciated for some of the non CDL drivers that they are going to make them shovel snow for the 12-hour shift around units and they are 60 to 70 plus years old with medical conditions.
I'm quite out of it because of lack of sleep with dog sitting for a 17-year-old Chihuahua and trying to get the last of my Christmas cards and cookies off to coworkers.

Prayers also appreciated for my sister who's having her C-section this Friday. She's a nervous wreck with this storm coming through. Looking forward to my niece being born, but also praying for the right circumstances and health of both. She's a couple states away from me and the storm doesn't look like it's as severe as where I am.

I hate the snow... but it's extended my Christmas break by two days.

So glad I don't have to come in tomorrow. The snowing itself as stopped but the fierce winds are supposed to begin.. making visibility dangerously low.. especially for highway driving that is the bulk of my destination.

Oh yeah.. I'm in the middle of this crap too. Although I heard at least 200 million Americans will be affected in some way by this snow storm.

Dreading this winter storm. I don't have the clothing requirements to be out in negative 20 windchills to clean my truck off to go to my sister's tomorrow. But I might show up in shorts anyway lol

Now that I'm downstairs doing the laundry, I have time for forums. What have I been up to lately? Minor kitchen upgrades, computer upgrades, cleaning, building another R/C model, and trying to get enough exercise.

Unfortunately, with all the holiday hustle and bustle, I haven't been eating as well as I'd like. Christmas cookies and junk food breakfast gifts for us at work, cookie exchanges, holiday parties, a bowling/pizza party, and more ice cream than I care to admit. I also had hamburgers for dinner tonight. This isn't the norm as I usually cook my own food and eat healthy. The next few days will be a return to form.
