Prayers also appreciated for my sister who's having her C-section this Friday. She's a nervous wreck with this storm coming through. Looking forward to my niece being born, but also praying for the right circumstances and health of both. She's a couple states away from me and the storm doesn't look like it's as severe as where I am.

Please let us know when she has made it through, if you can, Miss Sampa.

Also take care tomorrow, as we're both working, yes?

Thank you. Just woke up and she sent a text 22 minutes ago that baby is on the way. Getting myself ready to snow blow the drive and get out to work again. Thank you! I appreciate you

When I went outside a few hours earlier this morning, I could tell ... Lady Winter's embrace is a bit more ... intense and less companionable than i am accustomed to receiving from her. I can only wonder how much moreso it is for you folks in the Northern half of the country right now. O_O

I'll never understand how before modern technology, people, including Indians / Native Americans, survived these winters. They didn't all make teepees or log cabins / huts, I don't think.

Or animals that don't migrate or hibernate like deers & turkeys. Their bodies must be able to keep them really warm somehow.

I went for a little walk in the blizzard! It was cold! Coldest part was my ears, I couldn't find my earmuffs or hat, only the hood on my sweatshirt. Rest wasn't too bad. I still turned around before I was planning too.

Snow accumulation isn't too bad yet. It's just below freezing cold & visibility due to blowing wind of the snow probably really bad out driving on it.

Dreading this winter storm. I don't have the clothing requirements to be out in negative 20 windchills to clean my truck off to go to my sister's tomorrow. But I might show up in shorts anyway lol
They're not cancelling? Everyone's cancelling things. Churches for Christmas on Sunday already closed a lot too.

The wind knocked over one of my outdoor chairs earlier today, and several tree branches came down. The wind sounded worse than it was. Thankfully, my neighborhood still has power. The heat pump will get a workout tonight! I think I heard the auxiliary/convection heat kick. At least it's dry outside, and won't need to contend with freezing rain or icicles during its defrost cycle.

Praying that others dealing with stormy weather make it through okay.

My favorite YouTuber, Jenna Marbles, got married last month. It’s the first pictures I’ve seen of her since she left the Internet for her mental health like 2 years ago. She looked so radiant and happy- it really makes me wonder if I wouldn’t do better if I was less involved in the Internet/social media. I still want Facebook and Instagram to stay connected/plan things… but I need to figure out a resolution that drastically decreases my screen time.

I think When we keep this in mind an prioritize it we find life to be soo much more than we thought and so much more vibrant.
Though, Admittedly. I struggle with it myself:doh:

A praise!! I now have a niece and nephew. My niece was born today. My 5-year-old nephew is in a picture beaming from ear to ear happy with the birth of his sister. My sister's boyfriend crocheted a nice looking blanket. He's been doing it since before my nephew was born. I have one by him also.

This was a hard night! My fingers are still frozen. I got 33,188 steps. I think my watch is off. 214 mi plowing. Many fuel stations fuel was freezing up so that you couldn't pump It. And of course issues with trucks because of the temperatures. At the end of the night my car barely started up. It's -3° here but wind chill factor -20. The guy next to me his truck didn't start so maybe he'll have a plow truck take him home. Back at it again tomorrow morning.

@J Mick what is your story? You said you have been homeless before? Where were you, was it cold? Are there any God moments or faith moments? What's were the circumstances and how did you get out of it?
Oh GOD always kept me when I was Homeless, hallelujah!
I've been homeless off and on most of my Adult life starting in my teens,
Most of which is due to poor decisions as a Youth.
For instance when I was in Madison TN me and my girlfriend at the time were Looking for a place to park the car,
try to get some food and find some resources be there any in the area (which there's a ton of resources for homeless people in Madison TN)
Before we even made it out of the parking lot a Gentleman named William Told us where we could go to get warmed up, to charge our cellphones, to get food and where we'd be able to get assistance with other things that are extremely hard to get when you got no money a car on E and it's getting COLD out,
so we took his advice and ended up meeting a couple at the church he pointed us to who extended us an invitation for us to stay at their house and they Insisted upon it.
So we ended up staying with them,
We were "homeless" without a House for a few weeks but the LORD provided us with sleeping bags and food the entire time and often we had local police swing by to see if we needed anything.(we also we're able to keep gas in the car, though our heat didn't work but it helped us to get around) Saves a lot of time, often without a vehicle it's an all day endeavor just to use the restroom in a big city
It took a while and a move to Texas before we ended up heading back to New York and Finding work here.
though in many instances people would come up and tell us "the LORD put it in my heart"
He took care of us the entire time, kept us warm and fed when it was 14degrees out (which is normally very cold for TN)

Whew. About to step outside for the first time in over 12 hours in order to be on my way to work, and I can only hope my car, the sporty and elegant Claire (yes, that's still her name) will even be able to start with how much colder it has probably gotten since yesterday morning when I was last out.

Also, because it is Christmas Eve, here is a wham line from the book of Luke ^-^ ->

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
