Sunday evening blues... although this week... it's sort of sobering/peaceful.

Yes the pain is about 99% gone. I get a little tweak here and there if I overdue it, but otherwise feeling great! What is the "trad space"?
I haven't really.
Just enjoying the latest Call Of Duty game. Although I wish video games were as magical when I was younger. Seems like everything was a little more fun back then.

Is it possible to employ earplugs in this instance? Obviously if people need to talk to you frequently that isn't an option, but maybe if you have to just work by yourself there for minutes or hours at a time you can put the plugs in for some relief and take them out when your boss comes in.But man, the beats from those maddeningly awful R&B and gangster-wannabe rap songs are like a repeated rail spike through my ear canal

No matter what I say or do, it will never be good enough or even right for that matter, so what's the point?!

Have you considered fighting fire with fire? Getting your own speaker, and blaring music that doesn't make your skin crawl? See how they like it...I am considering it, honestly. I have had much experience with utilizing ear protection in the past in many situations outside of work, to be sure, since back then I was not dealing with my minor case of misophonia as well as I seem to nowadays, but, to say the least, wearing ear plugs for any extended period of time, much less for the greater portion of the twelve-hour shifts that I work, takes its toll on me in terms of discomfort. I don't know if a mere 20 decibels or so less in the sound intensity from that blasted radio will be worth dealing with ear plugs again. Like, they really do keep it that loud, now.
But thank you for caring and the suggestion, Miss Linux. As I said in the first post about this problem, there is hope that I may not even have to deal with it for much longer in the future thanks to a few different possible avenues. One of them being a new one that has arisen since the first post: that the guy who straight up told me that he'll keep it that loud every moment he is in the lab working, will soon be transferred to the other plant.
other than that, as I also said, right now as much as the loudness can take a mental toll on me, I don't think it will be worth bringing a fight right out into the open by narcing on anyone or protesting to the guys who keep this radio so loud in a more direct way than I already have.
Got a nasty email back, and then Store Manager came over in person to tell me what I did was super inappropriate, because it's the Holiday season, and how dare I?

Don’t worry about it. You’ll find something.
I see an upside to this companion wise. Look for someone who excels in this area. She’s a lot of fun and has great suggestions you enjoy. That might be the missing link and an angle you can explore.

There was always - what I think most gamers our age and older have appropriately called it - that sense of wonder you got back then going through a new game for the first time ... even the ones that weren't so great in the end.
