I wish God would write more books to read. I love reading God’s Word.

Ever read Wisdom, Sirach, Tobit, 1+ 2 Maccabees (and 3 Maccabees), Judith, Baruch, and additions to Daniel and Esther commonly known among Protestants as the apocrypha but Deuterocanonical books amongst Catholics? I recommend them if you haven't!

What was scary was when one person thought if things get out of hand that it could become a purge. This is quite alarming, but at the same time I kind of think the movies that you play in can definitely affect some of the choices that you make outside in your personal life. This is not acceptable! Yet, it seems to be popular culture. So unfortunate.

I saw the films and they're really disturbing. They became increasingly worse with every addition. I never watched the cable show. During the riots there were people wearing masks from the film.

Unfortunately, there is some truth in what was shown. It's the same principle in Squid Games and the Hunger Games. The societal divide they're pushing is real. It's survival of the fittest now. That's why things are ramping up and you're hearing comments like those.

The spiritual term for it is blood lust. When that's unleashed people have no qualms about killing. And they do it for sport. They don't need a reason. It's an outlet for anger and rage.

It has been a minute, bèlla! How are you? I am doing well! I recently quit my job doing residential and commercial insulation, so I have a lot of time on my hands now. I hope everything is well with you!!

Please pray for a family from our church body. They loss two boys (12 and 16 years old) in a construction accident a few days ago, and the funeral is this Tuesday. I posted it in the prayer section of the forum. Their father was injured as well, but is doing better.

I actually had pleasant dreams last night, from 5am to a few minutes ago. ^-^

Another pleasant dream last night. 2 for 2 is a rare score on that front for me.

I think I was still myself, in my thirties, but I apparently lived in the same house as my mother, older sister, and one of my little cousins, Haley. Haley seemed to be the only one among us who was not her IRL age, as she is 27 in reality but was, like, 10 in my dream. Thus, when my mother went away on some trip out of town, she must have decided that my sister and I were too busy with our own lives with school or work or whatever to be left in charge of Haley, so she hired a babysitter to stay with us .... @sampa.

I considered the dream pleasant (a rarity for one taking place in the house I lived in from South Carolina as a child, as you may remember my saying before that that place I am not fond of for various reasons, so thank the Lord for a good dream occurring there this time) because most of it was Sampa the Babysitter playing some board game with Haley while I hung around and found ways to flirt with this new pretty and sophisticated older lady who was suddenly in charge of the house. .... I'm sorry, Miss Sampa, but, I am Sarah's Knight; it's just kind of what I do. Right up there with always rescuing the Little Sisters in Bioshock every time I play it.

Amusingly, despite my being 38 years old, after the game, Sampa admonished me to get along to bed right along with Haley ... because it was 10pm and therefore getting late.

Also at some point I went into the kitchen to check on my sister and she had a bunch of research material scattered about. ... In the kitchen? I glanced around said, "well, you have my sympathies. Term papers were the absolute worst part of college for me". ... and out of nowhere she responds, "quit lyin'. They were never a problem for you because you just smoked your way through doing a paper every time."

I often have dreams of my half sister when she was 5 years old. I'm pretty sure the reason for that is that that is about the time that I left for the Army and I had less time with her. Even though she is 36 years old now and pregnant with her second child, she's still 5 years old in my dreams

Haha, not uncommon. One of my babysitting jobs with preteen twin boys I had issues with them flirting. It ended in disaster because of the pranks they were pulling.

Yes. Blood lust is a thirst for killing. It’s not the spirit behind murder but you usually see it when the other is present.

The meeting with the stakeholders went well. Our apps ran as expected, and the project is now officially over. It had been a big part of my life since 2018. You might think that I'd have lots of energy, now that my schedule isn't as full, but I'm mostly relaxing and enjoying the lack of deadlines. It will be nice to just focus on my personal projects and my day job for a while.
