I'm interested about how much of an influence lead exposure has had on us - a video I watched a while back suggested that we're less intelligent NOW than previous generations, because of the amount of lead we've been exposed to.

Also, not to rub it in @Saucy but I've just done my pre-departure test at Heathrow and I am negative! I've honestly never been so nervous. I've been testing every 48 hours but still. You never know.

America, I'll be back with you shortly. And about time too.
I'm glad you're negative! Welcome back!

Thank you.

I did get caught out right at the very end of the Delta wave last year. I completely lost my sense of taste and smell for about a month and the fatigue was absolutely horrendous. So I sympathise with you completely.

After today though, I'm never going to think about it again. My first vaccine made me feel terrible, my second one made me feel worse, and the infection itself was diabolical.

That said, it was worth going through all of that to get to THIS. I'm a free man again with an older and wiser immune system.

This latest round is super mild. My doctor wasn't even concerned when I told her and said I didn't need anything to treat it. She did prescribe some antibiotics in case the lungs took a turn for the worst but said not to pick it up unless things got bad. My sister and niece had this latest round and both had a similar experience. It was essentially a 24 hour bug

Getting more female attention due to letting my hair grow out long. Feels nice. I don't know how long I should keep this on. I kind of want to see how thick it gets.

Didn't have the best day but helped an old man today who couldn't figure out the self-checkout register. Made me feel good. Had a falling out with that one woman again. Oh well.

Every day I learn a little bit more just how disingenuous many on the left are. Takes years of deep meditation to develop an appropriate level of hate for them.

Walking itself is good exercise. Especially if you're a fast walker. Have you considered other low-impact alternatives like bicycling or swimming?
good.....

I don't see many teenagers goofing around these days. Maybe it's a product of where I live, where you almost need a car to get anywhere interesting, but I figure it also has something to do with the ubiquity of smart phones and video
So today is a sunny day after much rain throughout the week. I found it ironic after reading your post that I saw more teenagers out. I had to drive to town to give someone something and drop off some Amazon returns. Well in town I saw some kids on bikes, scooters and another two animal pad. Once I got near home, more suburb country, I saw two preteens walking. And then I remembered I have seen kids on bikes with fishing poles going down the road every once in awhile. And once I saw a kid on a bike or walking with his iPod speakers blaring his music. I think there has been a shift in the last few or so years to get kids more active... So parents are probably trying to get kids outside and about and they now restrict screen time. I at least have one friend that she tries to do this. And especially with teenage girls wearing crop tops, I think there's more push to probably be more active.

Saturday was fairly relaxing. After running errands, I spent several hours drawing and working on models. The stormy weather that was in the forecast turned out to be little more than drizzle, so I also got to go outside for a while.

There don’t seem to be many teenagers in my neighborhood. Give it another 10 years or so, however, and it will probably be a different story. The original homeowners who bought their homes new are moving out, and Millennial families are moving in. Many of them have small kids, who run around doing normal kid stuff. Thankfully, I haven’t had to yell at any to get off my lawn. When that happens, I suppose I’ll officially be an old man. There are still several Boomer couples on my block, who have decades on me, so I’m not worried about becoming “mean old man Miles” just yet. Sadly, most of the Silent Generation have moved on to retirement communities or passed away.

When it comes to screen time, I’m somewhat conflicted. I’d want to protect my kids from harmful content, including the comparison game that happens on social media, but I’d also want them to be comfortable with new technology.

It’s good to hear that your friend encourages her kids to be active. That bodes well for their health and development. My nieces and nephews were all raised with an active lifestyle, which I suppose was passed down through the family. Rather than letting the TV or the internet raise their children, they actually did things together.

I think the two that I saw goofing off may have been drug users. They at least talked like they were high on something

Did they sound like this? ^_^

In Denmark we have a drought. It's so dry farmers have begun to water their grass for their cows.
Sorry to hear that!

Thanks.
It sucks for the farmers because the water bill will take a piece of their income. Rain in Denmark is normally something we can count on. For the farmers sake it would with be good if it starts raining.
